Looks like all the info is per 100g/100ml, and therefore straightforward. The 35g thing must be a misprint, surely. I am European (still, just... ie British!) and I don't understand how you could go by a "serving size" on a label. You'd have to weigh it to accurate because one person's idea of a serving could be very…

I just looked at your diary, and your sodium intake looks absolutely fine. Most Western diets contain far too much. Some of the food entries don't include sodium when they clearly should (like the salmon one already pointed out). If you really want to top up, then just add a little seasalt.

Allow healthy fats and eat avocados.

I've a CFS/ME diagnosis. It seems very varied from person to person, and I suspect it's a cluster of issues. Anyway - what's helped me has been figuring out trigger factors and pacing, plus: Eating well (less sugar and processed, more lean protein and veg, basically). Sleeping medication, which I know sounds weird, but the…

Find a similar item in the database and double it

If your diary's accurate you're not eating nearly enough. I agree with other posters that 1200 is likely to be way too low, but you seem to be skipping lunch and often only totalling 800-900 calories. Which just ake you weak and miserable! I'd up the calories and go for balanced and regular meals - set targets for macros…

That's very frustrating! You'd need to open your diary and say a bit more about your current weight and height for anyone to be able to offer helpful advice (ignore the unhelpful people, they're just hungry and bad-tempered!)

Oh yes, I do this too (and keep duck fat) - amazing to use when roasting veg

Make sure there's adequate fat in your diet (not excess, but you need some) it makes a difference to your bowels...

I went from a (UK) 18 to a 12/14 - unfortunately I lapsed a bit and I'm a dress back up again. But it isn't difficult. Patience and taking one day at a time are the key things I think. It's also useful to have several measures to go be - dress size for sure but also BMI (bearing in mind it's based on avaerages so itsn't…

It can be done, and pretty painlessly too! I was 50 in March last year - lost 46lb when I reached my lowest. Currently I'm staying below my original goal weight but swinging around a bit, battling post-Christmas and post break up chocolate-related bulge at the moment! Aiming to get back below 42lb (3 stone) lost fairly…

I do, mainly because I have an auto immune condition causing intense fatigue, which I'm trying to manage/improve using exercise and diet. I'm trying variuos supplements, and although I keep additional notes just logging on MFP over the long term means I can get some idea of whether what I'm taking is having any effect. If…

If you're seriously eating that, then it's pretty poor nutritionally. I'd set some healthy macro targets for fat, fibre, and protein and work towards them, and consider recommendations for vitamin and mineral intake too. Few people eat perfectly and obsession with food isn't healthy either, but I think you could look after…

Is this a "spot the bad airbrushing" competition? Or has no-one noticed that a shark has taken a great bite out of the waist of the woman on the right?

There are entries in the database for different fat levels, like lean, extra trimmed, etc. If you use one reflecting the fat present in your raw bacon, then if you reuse it I wouldn't count it again.

I'm out of work at the moment, but when I was working the only times I felt hungry were 11am and 5pm, and although I wasn't trying to lose weight then if I had been two substantial meals at those times would have worked very well for me. It's a bit different these days because I lack occupation, so I eat more frequently…

I think weight loss is a dark art as well as a science! Some people do see rapid loss at the beginning of a lifestyle change - yeah sure a lot of it may be water, but it's very motivating. I lost 14lb in my first month of following MFP - that was February of last year, and it has stayed off (I've trebled that loss since,…

I work sometimes doing part time painting and decorating. After much research, I allow an extra 100-150 calories per hour as a reasonable estimate (my HRM shows higher burns, but they're not accurate for low intensity workouts).
-
You can also get strap on wrist and ankle weights. I enjoy walking so much I'd rather just walk for longer and maybe seek out more challenging terrain, but if you'd rather up the intensity that's perfectly reasonable and your idea should work really well. Good luck.

I enter the calcium intake from supplements of course. Some food entries include calcium etc, but most don't. Given that I eat a varied diet, and foods that are made up of a lot of ingredients, it wuld be a pretty onerous task to research the calcium content of any given meal. And the report function, of course relies on…

Mfp estimates are very close to the estimate my HRM gives me, by the time I've deducted my BMR from the HRM reading. But they're all just estimates, the best thing is to go by results...

Can't imagine what it'slike to be in such good shape, lol - congratulations! Just looked at your diary, and think lookiing at your macros would help - less sodium, and more protein v. carbs...

Sympathy here. Since I gave up my excessive alcohol habit (that bit's been easy, lol) chocolate has become my problem too. I can't tell you what's right for you, but I think for me I'm going to have one last try at managing eating it in moderation (till the end of this month) and if I can't then I'll give it up altogther.…

I've eaten them and lost weight while doing so - just counted the calories as I would with anything else..

Will be watching with interest as I find this a problem too...

Have you worked out an estimate of your VOC?

I'd use the venison entry for antelope. When I cook wild boar I enter it as pork. Wild game is pretty lean, if you use the closest meat entry you can find and a lean option if there is one you won't be far off I shouldn't think.

Look up chair yoga exercises. There's lots of online demos. It'd be good to use (some of) the time on stretching and breathing, to help your recovery and overall health. Like the others have said, keep as active as you can - using crutches or a wheelchair is hard work and will burn calories. Presumably you'll have…
