Thank you so much everyone. Really. All the encouragement makes me feel great. If anyone has any further questions for me, feel free to PM.

Started at a size 20, dropped down to a size 8. Then I started lifting and stayed the same weight, but dropped down to a 4 (These are all US sizes)

IF the numbers were reversed, I would still go with the HRM. It's strapped to my chest measuring my actual heart rate. This machine doesn't even read heart rate, and the ones that do, only do it during the time I put my hands on the censor pads. This thing measures me continuously through my entire workout. On top of that…

Exercise helps with loose skin. Unfortunately, I was very big since I was in about 2nd grade. It's gotten better with time. I'm 26, so I think that helps too. Still, it's a train-wreck under my clothes. I'm with the man I;m going to marry and he thinks I;m hot, so I guess that's all that matters, but to answer your…

I've cycled back and forth between 1200 calories and 1500 calories. When I was larger, 1500 calories was more than enough because I was big enough that I was still dropping weight fast. As I got smaller I switched to 1200, but often (1-3 days a week) would bounce up to 1500 again because I was feeling insanely hungry or…

not problem! happy to help! What I would recommend, is to start with some moderate to high cardio 4-5 hours a week. If you are not in the habit of working out yet, go for medium 3-4 times a week and work up. After you have been doing this a while, and are comfortable in your routine, then add the lifting. Lifting is…

After i lost the first 60 lbs I did about 3 hours of light cardio a week. Mostly walking. AFter I was down 100 I upped it to 5 hours a week and did higher intensity stuff like running and biking and such. I did NOT want to run while I was still over 200 lbs because it can cause injuries.

I posted this on another web page when people were asking me for my beginning routine. Here you go! Ok, so here we go. This was the routien I did for the first 3 months of weightlifting. A lot of this will depend on what equipment you have, and what you have access to. (For those who might not know, when writing a lifting…

Thank you so much everyone, seriously. If you are on the fence about weight lifting, do it! t's fantastic.

This made me laugh for a good 45 seconds. You made my night!

Thank you all so much for the feedback. I really appreciate it. Very encouraging,

Thanks ladies! Thought I was maybe seeing things. The progress really slows down after the first 3 months.

Haha, yeah, thanks. I'm all over reddit. Actually the skirt in the 2nd and 3rd pics are the same skirt. I have no clue why it looks so different though. The shirt is different. Thanks for the feedback though. My boyfriend said it looks more lifted in the last picture, but not necessarily bigger, but I can never tell if he…

Yup, right on the money.

Thanks for the replies everyone! The answer is 20 lbs.

Aww thanks! One day at a time. Here's my before.

Thank you!

Aww! Thank you so much!

Thank you! I still want to lose about 10 lbs. I've lost 130-132 lbs so far (depending on what time of day I get on the scale). I'm just at the tail-end of my journey. This was me in 2009

I'm 140. Thanks for all the replies! As I suspected, I look my weight. I love my friends, but sometimes they are nice to a fault.

You should not lose more than two lbs a week. On top of that, the closer you get to your ideal body weight, the harder it is to lose weight. People who only have 30 lbs of excess weight, tend to lose weight slower. Also, since you are not really huge, you would have to drop your calories REALLY low to even get close two…

Thanks guys! All your comments mean a lot to me. Really.

Yeah I NEVER take money to work for that specific reason.

As a cardio junkie, I can understand how walking doesn't feel very effective. Still, a few months back, I started walking A LOT because I moved in with my boyfriend and his wonderful dog is extremely obese. I love that dog, but my boyfriend works over 60 hours a week so he doesn't have a lot of time to walk the dog, and…

Losing weight towards the end of your journey is like slogging through peanut-butter. It takes FOREVER. I just broke my 3-month long plateau this week by losing 2 lbs. TWO. I mean hell, when I started my journey I was so big, I could drop five pounds in a week, no problem. It's a lot harder now. On days I wasn't feeling…

I totally agree with the over all message of what you said, and I agree mostly that you should let loose a bit and try and be flexible when on a date. Still, what you want to eat or not eat should never be dictated by whether a man is turned on by your choice or not. Even at my highest weight I loved salad. I also really…

Thank you so much! That really means a lot to me.

Yeah, I definitely have quite a bit of excess skin. Also, I love lifting weights but can't until I have surgery on my shoulder. It keeps dislocating.

Because they don't want you to get as buff as they are. This guy obviously has the personality of a bag of wet hair, so if you keep exercising, you are going to steal his girlfriend.

For those of you on here and in my inbox asking for more details on my plan: All I did was count calories for the first 2/3 of my weight loss. I ate 1,000 calories under what I burned a day, in order to lose two pounds a week. When I had gotten small enough that eating 1000 calories under what I burned a day, was below…
