  • Thanks everyone for your comments, it has been pretty stressful wondering what is going on with my heart!
  • Awesome!!! It took me a while too! Keep it up!
  • Hi- I have recently developed knee pain myself. Somebody at the gym I go to said it could be from my leg muscles not being developed enough to support all the exercising I have been doing. In addition, I have been pretty hard on my knees. I have a meeting with one of the trainers on Tuesday, so I am hopeful I will get some…
  • It is nice having one, but I still haven't had a chance to sit down and figure out all the bells and whistles! Di ck's Sporting Goods has a good selection! *edited because MFP decided to censor Dic k's. I was not being fresh :P
  • I have a heart rate monitor, (my trainer actually gave it to me) and I strictly use it to monitor my heart rate for cardio and making sure my heart rate is up and I also use it when I am running. I use it sporadically and I don't use it to measure how many calories I am burning. As for the calories burned on the machines…
  • Hi, That happened to me the first time a couple of weeks ago and it was after a really hard workout. (I took my first kettlebell class) I ended up feeling like I was going to hurl. But it did go away. Maybe you are working out really hard? If not, maybe you are eating too much or too close to your work out. I personally…
  • HAHA!!!
  • It is in this month's fitness. I know for me personally, if I eat to close to bed I have a harder time falling asleep. I don't usually buy Fitness magazine but it had a section on tips from some of the Olympic Hopefuls and I really wanted to check it out. I thought it was a pretty good magazine!
  • 5 pounds lost is awesome! Maybe keep a glass of water on hand and sip on that if you feel like you need to have something. You can do it! Good luck!
  • First of all- you are doing it! The hardest part is starting! I think this plan sounds great, and I don't think you are too heavy to be doing these types of exercises. What type of shoes are you wearing? You may need more support in your feet. From your description it sounds like you made have pulled something which can…
  • Ditto. I have two in fridge waiting for me. :)
  • I think it depends on a couple of factors. Your bone structure needs to be taken into account. I am 5'0, currently 240 Pounds and I am trying to get down to 140 Pounds. But I will be happy at 160 pounds. My bone structure is at a medium build, so my healthy range is actually 125 pounds, but I haven't been that weight since…
  • I was just updated by iPod earlier today to freshen up my workout music! I just added- "Gold on the Ceiling" by the Black Keys. Some of my current favorites are "Some Nights" by Fun, "Titanium" bny David Guetta and Sia and of course "The Fighter" by Gym Class Heroes f. Ryan Tedder.
  • I would free frustruated too! I have been doing a mix of running and and strength training. Last month I only lost 1.5 pounds, but I lost 1 inch around my hips and an inch around my waist. So sometimes the scale really does lie! Keep going!
  • I typically do not use coffee creamer and switched to milk, with no sugar. It is a little tough to get used to, but I am saving tons of calories and lowering my sugar intake for the day. Good luck! :)
  • Love him! I just read his book "No Need For Speed"- it was excellent!
  • Glad to know that feeling sick is normal! I just logged my kettlebell class as weight training. Thanks for the tip!
  • Too much. I weigh myself before bed then when I wake up in the morning. So I think it is time to hide the scale. :ohwell:
  • I also am a big fan of good upbeat music, and "The Fighter" is a great song to listen to when you want to push yourself! I have been doing this for nearly 3 months, just broke through with a mile of running with no walk breaks. The big thing is to not beat yourself up if you can't run as far as the last time and not to…
  • Thanks everyone! I feel so proud! And am STILL glowing! I'm looking forward to getting out there on Tuesday!
  • I started my plan 8 weeks ago. I joined a gym which I go to twice a week for strength training and I do at least 2 other days of cardio. I typically eat 1600 calories a day. The first two weeks I only lost a pound, so I tried the RK. I took one at breakfast, one at lunch and white bean extract before dinner. I was really…
  • I am trying to increase my distance as well. I actually stopped timing myself, because I wanted to focus only on the distance I was running without walking breaks. I do run intervals on the treadmill at the gym twice a week, but I have a difficult time with it. I run much better when I am outside. On a treadmill, I am…
  • I too am looking to lose 100 pounds, I just made it through the first ten. I think the first ten pounds is the hardest! So hang in there!
  • Thanks everyone- the trainer at my gym encouraged me to do intervals, so I guess I am doing some form of the C25K already! I will look into that app! Sometimes in the beginning of my jogging I feel pain in the shins, but it usually quickly goes away. Any thoughts on that? Would better shoes help? I will try to find a…
