I'm breastfeeding too, and I read on www.kellymom.com that so long as you don't go below 1500 cal u should be fine, but obviously you have to judge for yourself. Make sure you are drinking enough - that helps milk production

1. Give yourself time after birth to recover before worrying about weightloss, at least 6 weeks. 2. Breastfeeding helps.

I should have clarified this earlier, but I was nursing a baby and only using one hand, hence the short post. I'm not stressing the 1lb weight gain, because even though I weigh myself every day, I only 'count' it from week to week, if you know what i mean. Last week, I made a concerted effort to drink 8 cups of water a day…

I second the fat free greek yogurt, it is high in protein, I mix it with a fruit, nuts or oatmeal

If you are eating too little that can cause your body to go into 'starvation mode' and that could be why you aren't losing and even gaining. If you are eating that little I would also be concerned about meeting your nutritional needs, are you getting enough protien, vitamins and minerals?
