  • I didn't even know about this program! I just started another round of Body Revolution, then I'm going to get this! I'm totally going to follow this thread.
  • i have "making the cut" and "slim for life". i really like "making the cut". i was super fit when i followed that program!
  • we spend $400/mo for the two of us. that includes a costco run in the beginning of the month, a month-long subscription to our CSA, weekly runs to the local co-op for random things that we need for the week, and alcohol. that does not include eating out for the month (~$150), personal care stuff (~$20) or dog food and…
  • i bought a pair at decathlon because they were the most affordable option. they were just fine, but i would definitely go with the adidas or asics if they aren't too spendy.
  • we make bread, yogurt, chutney, pickles, baked goods, dressings, soups, and a lot of other things at home from scratch. it's totally worth it. i'm trying to think of more, but it's 5:30 a.m. :) luckily, we have this amazing olive oil and balsamic vinegar store by our house, so the sky's the limit when making salad…
  • i moved out when i was 17 to go to college. my parents didn't pay for anything for college or law school, so i was fully on my own by the time i moved out.
  • i did it last year and it was amazing! i got so fit when i was doing this program.
  • i have a couple of pieces of dark chocolate when i'm craving something sweet after dinner. right now i love chocolove's dark chocolate sea salt with almonds. if i'm craving ice cream, i make a smoothie with an overripe banana, peanut butter, yogurt, green vibrance, berries and almond milk. i don't keep cookies, cake, or…
  • <-- me with our two pug babies! i love them to pieces.
  • most cereal is way too sugary for me. we get muesli from the bulk aisle, and i eat it with almond milk and pecans or almonds.
  • we lived in barcelona for a year (came back late last year). we traveled around a lot that year. we visited berlin for a weekend. it was awesome! pick up a lonely planet book and browse through it to see where you want to go. as far as learning the language fluenz has a program for learning german. i've found it to be the…
  • i just went there on sunday! i got the usual: bread rolls (for making sandwiches) mixed greens sweet corn brussel sprouts mushrooms avocados fuji apples frozen salmon olive oil (for cooking. i use a higher quality one from a specialty shop for salads and dipping) almond butter green tea crackers canned tuna canned sardines…
  • i have a cup of green tea (i'm not a coffee drinker) and a couple of crackers. it's usually too early in the morning to have much more than that.
  • no way! you'll never go back after having a really good quality balsamic vinegar. there's a store around here that specializes in olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and you can taste test them. my stomach hurt after trying so many, but i couldn't help it! they are all so good!
  • i don't think so. i've always loved the flavor of green tea. i don't add anything to it, and i hate it if it's combined with some other flavor, like "jasmine green tea' or "blueberry green tea".
  • my spouse and i made a deal a long time ago to not buy each other anything for the holidays. we'll just go out to a nice dinner or take a trip. this year, we're going to singapore and thailand for the winter break (he's a professor at a large university and i'll be taking a much-needed vacation from law stuff). we'll be in…
  • <-- we have two pug babies!
  • chips! i'll eat a whole bag before i know it. i love cookies, too, but only if they're homemade. when i make a batch, i dole out enough to make four small cookies (two for me, two for him) and freeze the rest until i'm ready to make more. helps tremendously with portion control. since it takes time to defrost the cookie…
  • i do something every day. if i don't work out, i turn into ms. crankypants. i do a 30 minute workout from a dvd before work and longer workouts on the weekend. if i feel like taking it easy, i play some games on the kinect. i also work to work, a mile each way.
  • i've been doing "no poo" since sept 2011, and my hair is the best it's ever been! i have long hair and bangs, too! i spent about a month or two doing the baking soda/ACV rinse thing, then i got off of that as well. i just rinse my hair with water, and i'm good to go!
  • i hate clutter, so i try to keep as much as i can in the pantry or in the cupboards. we pretty much only have large appliances on the counter and fruit/veggies that i don't like to have refrigerated. on the counter we have: food processor kitchenaid mixer toaster oven breadmaker bowl of bananas, avocados, onions and garlic…
  • chickpeas flour (for homemade bread) mixed greens brussel sprouts carrots bananas almonds almond milk muesli brown rice cheese
  • pescatarian. af first i started for health reasons, now it's for both health and ethical reasons. eta: we eat fish maybe once a week. we're phasing it out, though, so we can be fully vegetarian. we have vegan dinners once or twice a week.
  • I can't stand pre-made salad dressings. They're usually too sour or sweet for me. There's this olive oil and balsamic vinegar store where I live, where you can try them before you buy a bottle. I love this place so much. The basic aged balsamic vinegar is AMAZING. My sister bought me a teensy bottle of lavender balsamic…
  • most cereal has too much sugar for my taste. they make my teeth hurt! instead, i eat muesli with almond milk in the morning. i'll top it off with some almonds, raisins, random trail mix i have on hand, or flax seed when it's looking a little too plain.
  • *high five* great job, OP! loved reading your story. you look amazing!
  • I LOVE going to the gym. However, it's only worth the investment for me if I: (1) have a lot of time on my hands and (2) can walk to it. Otherwise, I don't have those factors in my favor, I use DVDs. When we were living in Barcelona, I wasn't able to work, under the terms of my visa. I know, rough life. We joined the local…
  • Spinach salad with chickpeas and gorgonzola, tossed with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I'll also have a bite of some yummy bread I made yesterday with some sharp cheddar.
  • Thailand and Singapore in December. It's a ways away, so we'll be taking little trips until then (Denver for a wedding, LA and SF and NYC to see family/friends, etc.).
  • We use one credit card for the travel rewards and pay it off each month. Now, student loans, that's another story. :(
