  • You have surpassed yourself today, what a great read, as I sit here with my glass of red, am I gonna drink it? oh yeah - am I gonna work twice as hard tomorrow? hell yeah, cos you are always there, every day with a little motivational reminder of why we are here doing what we do. You have come so far in such a short time -…
  • Hi, the scales dont tell the full story, take measurements and you will be suprised how many inches you can lose without any weight difference - I lost 8.5" but only 0.5lb over 6 weeks
  • Hi, Im 46 and just trying to be as fit and healthy as i can x Add me if you like x

  • Hi, MFP is addictive but in such a good way, i treat it a bit like a bank account - I have X amount of calories each day and I try not to go overdrawn, add me if you like.
  • 40+ makes such a difference to shifting the weight. It may be harder but we can still do it - add me if you like
  • I totally agree with measuring yourself. I didnt lose any weight for 5 weeks but lost 8.5", which is far more satisfying.
  • Whatever you do, dont come to the UK because all food is expensive here. I spend about £40 a week on fruit and veg which is daylight robbery!!!!
  • You are Mr motivation to a lot of people - fantastic weigh loss and always so honest with your diary x x
  • It's funny how the ladies most concerned with their girls shrinking all tend to have larger boobs to start with. I suppose if they were small to start with, your used to it and its not such an issue. I was a b to c cup at my heaviest and now am probably an a cup again. What it means is I can do any sport without them…

  • Played the piano since I was 4 and the guitar since 14. Dont get much time to play now but I can still remember my exam pieces.
  • Your body's whole purpose is survival - to keep functioning - and if you cut your calories too low your body will re-act by making you tired to slow you down and to conserve calories or by making muscles and joints sore - to slow you down and to conserve calories etc etc . The headache is because you are on too low a…
  • Hi, I used to be a body builder but that was 20+ years ago. Entered a couple competitions but the pre contest diet sucks!! I now cycle lots and lift weights to keep my upper body toned. I may have some "old school" ideas that could come be useful.
  • I roll out of bed and onto my bike - 6am start for me, it really wakes me up and gives me more energy for the day
  • I am pretty much in the same situation as you, including weight and height. Take some measurements and ignore the scales for a couple of weeks. For the first few weeks I gained weight so really I have only lost about 2lb in 65 days BUT I have lost inches. I am booked on a body scanner next week to see what my muscle mass /…
  • Hi, You dont need to do this on your own, you had a bad day, it was only one day but the fact it bothered you means that you are dedicated to this change - keep it up - add me if you like x x
  • You may have to try yoga or pilates for a while until you mend - I used to run 4 days a week until I damaged my achilles tendon, it took 6 months to heel then on my first run it went again. had to take nearly a year off and now need to loose the extra pounds that crept on. I now cycle 3 days and run 2 which is working (…
  • Good morning to you x

  • Hi, I have been here for a week and like you , I have finally seen where I was going wrong - add me if you like
  • In my youth  I was a body builder and we drank lots of black coffee in the diet weeks before contests because it helps speed your metabolism - like a little extra burst - that helped burn calories
  • Hi, I would be happy for you to add me. Being self employed also , I know the pit falls of not enough hours in a day and just grabbing something (usually something bad :ohwell: ) to keep you going. This is only my second day but I feel so positive about MFP
