Our well was tested when we bought our house 10 years ago and met the criteria for safety. I haven't considered testing it again. My "city friend" told me that our water tastes sweet. I figured that was better than "sour."

I had a very similar situation. I am a stay at home mom; and in your friend's defense, she may think you are too busy at work to break away, and it might be a hassle for you to leave work to listen to her and the other friend spend most of the time talking about kids (which is likely what they are doing). She might think…

I crave sweets less often, and sweet treats taste more sweet now.

By have you had Ben & Jerry's mint cookie?

I like leg day, and I like to eat. Win-win.

I'm assuming that most of the people who are basically telling you to not lose more weight are women. I don't disclose my weight to other women, b/c I don't want the potentially annoying comments: "wow, you weigh THAT much" or "wow, you weigh THAT little."

I had to kick a guy off my bench one day, b/c I left for a minute to pee. NBD- I was nice about it and said he could work in. I usually bench on days when my husband is with me so I have a designated spotter. I do deload weeks by myself. I just put I my earbuds and ignore everyone else. It helps to put in a "game face" and…

For me, rest depends on the weight. The lower the % of my 1RM (less weight), less rest time I need between sets. As I add more weight, I need more rest. One thing I have read is that in general women require less rest between sets than men. I've found this to be true for my husband and myself even if we are working at the…

There's a guy at my gym who sets up his lap top on a stool and does his P90x or whatever. A book is fine.

I think I did something to mine doing dips. I was using the assisted machine and going to far below parallel (probably should have reduced the assistance then)!

I'm unimpressed with the level of embarrassment in OP. I saw a lady fall on a treadmill and be shot into the wall behind it. Now, that is embarrassing. I saw her the next day at the gym (not on the treadmill though).

People you envy...envy someone else. The people that you view as "perfect" have flaws that they also focus unnecessary attention toward. Spend sometime on the MFP forums, you will see that women you would think were beautiful hate their thighs or arms or whatever.

Face, arms, stomach, chest, butt, thighs...in that exact order.

A pint of Guinness is less than 200 calories. Of course, I drink 3.

I'm going to the chiropractor next week for the same issue. It just started, and only actually hurts when I OHP (not on bench). I've just dropped it until I get it fixed.

I've been basically on a 2 year recomp. I went from a size 8 to a 2. Aggressively cutting calories isn't a good idea; like someone else said, that's more likely to end with "skinny fat." If you are lifting (with progressive overload), I wouldn't get stuck on the #s. When I lift, I think MFP gives me a 100 calorie burn…

Let me put it this way, I'm 5'3 127lbs and eat roughly 2200 calories on lifting days. I'm eating at TDEE plus 100 calories and haven't gained fat. It's taken some tinkering with calories to figure out. Even if you are trying to lose fat, you should be eating more than 1200 calories. You could also probably benefit from…

Are you weighing your food? Looking at just your description of typical daily intake of food, cereal/sandwiches/grains equals a lot of carbs and little protein/fat (both of which will help you feel fuller longer).
-
Yeah, that happens. I started lifting and lost most of my female friends. Go figure.

Just tell yourself: "I don't (_________) anymore." I stopped drinking soda and would tell people, "no thanks, I don't drink soda." Eventually, I just became the person that didn't drink soda. Or tell yourself: "I have to go to the gym, b/c that's what I do." Eventually, you just become that person.

I'm doing a version of 5/3/1 (for PL) from Beyond 5/3/1. I don't know if it needs to be added to the list specifically; but I like this version, b/c I can work at my 1RM more often.

I usually just pull on to the shoulder and let them pass. I just bought a new car; it was an expensive "mom mobile."

I just bake my sweet potatoes and sprinkle with cinnamon. I've found that if I refrigerate them, it can be a good substitute for a "regular" dessert. I just bake chicken too; no butter or oil necessary. In fact, I baked both at the same time for dinner last night.

I haven't actually thrown-up, but felt like it. It's usually a combination of too much food too close to deadlift time plus my belt. For me, it'd the internal pressure + volume of food in the stomach.

Freeze it, and then use it to make some kind of salmon dip for a work party. You haven't wasted it, you don't freak out, b/c it isn't wild-caught, and your co-workers are impressed with your kitchen skills.

You can eat chicken breast for b'fast. B'fast doesn't have to be "b'fast foods." Add some salsa and avocado.

I'll be 36 tomorrow. I've been lifting heavy for 2+ years. I have semi-visible abs, but haven't training to get lean. It just happened despite the daily chocolate.

Go with the flowers...the worst move would be chocolate Slim Fast bars.
