I went to bodybuilding.com and researched, researched and then researched some more. I started off with a three day split (lifting three days a week) that someone on here posted they used and had fantastic success with before making the leap to lifting to 5-6 days a week (5/6 day split). I learned how to do the lifts by…

That's sort of hard for anyone but you to help out with, as a person's strength can vary. Personally, I picked a Dumbbell that was heavy enough that the last two reps feel difficult, but not painful. You also want to pick a weight that you can use for each set, or you can just do a drop set. (From Wiki: using drop sets is…

When I first started lifting seriously (January 2013) I used this routine: It's a mixture of machine/free weights. Rep range 8-12 reps Monday: Chest/ Triceps Chest: 4 sets of Flat bench Press Superset w/ Incline Bench dumbbell Flyes Triceps: 4 sets of Skullcrushers Superset w/ Seated overhead DB extensions Wednesday: Legs/…

It's where you either have a barbell or Dumbbells and do squats. I don't have access to a barbell so I use dumbbells. Squats and lunges have been helping me out a ton in the cellulite department. :) Also, the deeper you squat (and form is important here) the more you work out your buns!

Remember, the weight didn't come on overnight and it won't come off overnight either. (yeah yeah everyone says that, but it's true) You're going to have to give your body time to adjust to your new workout regiment but also be careful that you don't go so hard that you end up burning yourself out. It is fantastic that…

If you see yourself falling back into old habits, think really hard about what might be triggering them. Is it boredom? Are you feeling like you have to reward yourself? Are you not getting enough exercise? Are you feeling unhappy? All things to think about. Also consider what got you started along the path to health to…

You're going to find that EVERYONE on here is going to say "EAT MORE". Something I completely agree with. So yeah, go eat more delicious & healthy foods and stop putting your body into starvation mode (it clings on to the calories EVEN MORE THAN EATING NORMALLY! Sucks right?!). Stop starving. Start Eating to fuel your…

Time to think about your goals and what got you started on this journey to begin with. Pictures are very motivational. As in, ones of yourself in le underoos. (Not for sharing mind you, but for personal reflection) Sometimes just the act of seeing yourself in a picture will light those fires again. Don't let them…

You might just not be ready to accept that in order to lose the weight you want you're going to have to make changes that are Sustainable and Consistent! Going on a 1200 calorie diet and working out for 60 minutes a day might work for some people, but it isn't for everyone. You have to think really hard about your reasons…

Don't let a couple 'claw marks' deter you from your goals or get you down! I've got a body littered with them. I've never produced young either! But they're fading! For the purple and red ones, use Vitamin E capsules or cocoa butter to help diminish the redness. Cellulite is one of those tricksy genetic annoyances. Toning…

Start lifting weights! I was stalled for what seemed like forever (3-4 weeks just the same 3 lbs up and down) until I started a 3 day a week weights routine. Also, eating more when you increase your intensity of your workouts will help immensely!

You will not bulk up lifting weights after lifting for only two weeks. If anything your muscles are swollen from the exercise. You need to peruse the forums and look at all the wonderful threads about how lifting does NOT bulk you up. You've also lost 6 lbs in two weeks! That's awesome! Don't sabotage yourself now by…

What places in Seattle do you really enjoy visiting (obviously not Bellevue)? If you like Northgate (think more towards the mall vs Aurora), move to Beaverton or Gresham. If you want to be able to walk to cute bars, shops, restaurants go for inner SE (Anything under SE 50th, Belmont, Hawthorne, Division) or NW Portland…
