I'm the same way. Running is easier for me outside. I run longer and harder with, what seems to me, less effort. I can only gauge my speed AFTER I'm done. I use mapmyrun.com

I have sick kids so I'm guessing I'll be a sicky bear soon. :( Feel better soon!

I am VERY close to my weight goal. My body goal now is more about losing the jiggle. I want to fit into a nice pair of jeans and not have muffin top. I want to look in the mirror and be happy with what I see. Something that hasn't happened in 10+ years.

Agree with everyone here. One day of this isn't going to KILL you. It's just really not good for you continuously so just try not to do it again. I've done it before, believe me. Make up for what you didn't eat, tomorrow, and you'll be fine. Also, if it's hard for you to eat "a lot" (I know sometimes it's hard for…

That's awesome!! Fantastic NSV. I know it feels amazing!

1- What was your changing moment that made you say enough is enough? And start your journey? In August 2010, I realized I hated trying on my work clothes. When it got to the point I was trying on a pair of 18W jeans and could barely button them, after crying for a bit, I decided it was time to get "for real". 2- What was…

Love all of these!!!

My cals are set at 1400. I eat more when I do strength training. When I run (my favorite thing ever), I stick to between 1200 -1400. I'm pretty much at maintenance now and trying to tone up and gain muscle.

AGREED!!

My goal is at 120. I'm only 2 lbs from it right now. I'd be fine at this weight if I could get rid of the belly pudge. lol

Hi! I'm 5' even. I started at 191 when I first came to MFP (210 at my heaviest). I am now at 122. There is a thread of shorties before/afters somewhere around here!! Do a search and you'll see a LOT of pics of people who ARE succeeding!!! GOOD LUCK!!

I was just recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia (have to get bloodwork done to rule anything else out). Cold weather bothers me ..... a lot. I noticed, when my muscles/bones are warm (to the point where the rest of me sweats sometimes), I don't hurt. At least until they cool down again. When I work out, I feel NO PAIN.…

Yes! Weekly is better....for me anyway.

I've been doing daily FB challenges for about a week now! Every morning I post a Calisthenics workout - leg lifts, sit ups, push ups, planks, etc. - either a rep or one each for every "like". I give a time limit - usually around 6-7pm so when I get home I'm ready. It's made me get off my booty every day!! Love it!!

MFP maintenance was around 1500 at sedentary. But these last couple weeks I've decided to work out at least 3 days a week from now on. This brings my maintenance up to 1620 which is what I have it set to now.

I have been doing it this way for a couple weeks. I've lost close to 4lbs using it  . I love seeing the deficit!! It helps keep me focused and I know that if I ever go in the red, there's likely going to be a gain.

Awesome!!! My husband has issues sleeping and is overweight. I know losing weight will help him but he hasn't gotten on the wagon yet. Congratulations on your successes!!

I don't count the Extra gum I chew - Usually about 3-5 pieces throughout the day. I'm tempted to stop counting my coffee too after reading these. It totals about 25 calories daily. hmmmm
-
1/1 - I didn't get to REALLY workout but I did some SERIOUS cleaning/scrubbing/taking down christmas decorations/etc (and I absolutely count it....as light  ) 1 hour approximately of cleaning 15 min - leg extensions = 75 min total

I've been doing this and it's actually making me get off my butt on non-running days. May use it for minutes on the days I run, too. Thanks for this idea!!

I would have run today except we're getting some nasty wind with the rain. I can't wait for the warm rain runs!! I just started running in August. It was HOT out most of the time. Never under 85 degrees and HUMID. We didn't get much rain this last summer so I'm anxious to see what this Spring and Summer give me!…

Congrats on your loss so far! I weigh in tomorrow so we'll see how last week's been for me.

I did the same thing for 2012. Mine was all gone (except for 2.89) in September.
-
I never knew about fsastore.com!!! Would have come in handy last year! This year I have a little under $3 left...I'm okay with losing that, I guess. lol
-
I'm in. :) 24 hours of working out in a month....LOVE IT! I think I'm actually scheduled for a run on the 1st so yay!
-
I have Kesha, Nicki Minaj, LMFAO, Katy Perry, some 90's rap/hip hop. I need some ideas too. I've had this same playlist for MONTHS.

Thanks! I'm already only losing (and regaining) less than a lb, usually, so if I can lose a lb - or less - consistently (instead of regaining it), I'll be happy. lol Oh and I found the formula online and did it myself using sedentary 1.2 calculation. It gave me 1324, I think.

I love Pintrest.

Congrats on the pregnancy!!!! :D

Mymag, I know how you feel! I've had the same issue lately with all the "luncheons" at work. I haven't overindulged TOO MUCH but I've definitely went over my calories a few times.
