Hello, I am trying to get fit for my wedding next year. I'm going to start running for 30 minutes 3 to 4 times a week. But think I will need to build up by doing a fast power walk / jog intevals first, as I am a bit unfit!! I'm inspired by all your posts, so will be back to read more and let you know my progress

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments and words of support. I feel really inspired now. I have exactly 14 months today until my wedding day, so hopefully I will have transformed my body shape by then and look fab. Good luck with your own goals too  How do I add you as a buddy Belldandy? Thanks everyone x…

.. and need your help. Please can anyone give me any advice as to lower calorie foods to pick please? I know I am probably going to go over my calorie allowance, but I thought it might help a bit if I chose the lower fat options. I know Chicken Tikka peices and Tandorri Chicken are supposed to be a good choice, but any…

I have this problem too! it's like a get a little devil on my shoulder.. it's hindered my weight loss the last couple of weeks as had a lot of social gatherings, the only good thing is I haven't put on weight as been exercising.. but I could kick myself for being naughy now... long way from my goal  Gonna try harder…

Agree... Starving yourself doesn't sound like fun... and will do more harm than good! much better to follow a calorie controlled diet and exersize.

I have found that doing 30 minutes on the treadmill 4 to 5 times a week has really helped get the weight off and tone me up.. I don't run though, I power walk for 1 minute, then jog for 1 minute, then run for 1 minute and keep repeating this until the 30 minutes is up.. Sounds boring, but if you put on some really good…

Don't be discouraged, it could just be down to water retention or time of the month. Stick at it and you will definitely see the results in the long run. But I wouldn't try and loose any more than about 2Ibs a week, this is a healthy amount, anything more isn't supposed to be good for you and you will only pile it back on…

Thanks, its so nice to get moral support from you. And also nice to know I'm not the only one! you're right we are only human and can have little rewards from time to time... just been to the gym and done an hour and a half of cardio, so that just about burnt off the tikka masala I reckon. Nice healthy chicken salad for…

Was really naughty last night and had quite a lot of wine and then an indian takeaway! had too much wine to make a healthy choice and went for a tikka masala!!! (oops!) feel really bad today, but not going to let it spoil my progress... going to eat extra healthy today and go and slog it out at the gym. Hopefully it will…

Thanks I won't worry about it then

Hello, wondering if anyone can give me any advice about protein..? When I log my food diary it is saying that I am going over my protein each day by 10 sometimes 20, is this a bad thing.. I don't think I am eating loads, but it seems to be hidden in some foods I hadn't realised had it. Thanks Nancy  Created by…
