Was really naughty last night and had quite a lot of wine and then an indian takeaway! had too much wine to make a healthy choice and went for a tikka masala!!! (oops!) feel really bad today, but not going to let it spoil my progress... going to eat extra healthy today and go and slog it out at the gym. Hopefully it will make up for my naughtyness yesterday :ohwell:

Has anyone else ever had a bad day like that? did it effect your weight loss?

Then I had a 5 egg omlette with cheese and broccoli 1 piece of wheat toast heavy butter and hash browns lol So im still not done Then for dinner my boyfriends wanted Longhorn Steak house so i had half ribs with mashed potato's and more bread with butter. Omg i am gross and i woke up this morning 2 lbs heavier so mad at my self

I think we have all had catastrophic meltdowns of will power. It happens. Here is my "day after" plan...

    1. Do not, under any circumstances weigh yourself in the morning. It will only make you sad and is probably inaccurate anyway due to high salt and water retention.
    2. Drink a LOT of water throughout the day.
    3. Get back on your plan.
    4. Weigh yourself one or two days later to make sure you are back on track.

Remember, weight loss is a game of averages, and one single "outlier" won't ruin your progress IF YOU DON'T LET IT! The trick is to get back on the horse the next day.
  • well girls I have to join you on your bad day yesterday - I had a turtle brownie full of chocolate and caramel and an italian beef sandwich on japleano bread. but I agree with dclarh's answer. basically dust yourself off and make sure you get back on track. exactly what I am doing today

Hey, you are human. There are going to be times that you give into temptation. And guilt is part of a healthy mindset. Guilt tells us "You messed up." What is more important is how you deal with guilt. You can let it make you angry, you can let it make you weak and just give up, or you can let it make you stronger by looking deeper within yourself.

Also keep this in mind. If you are making great progress, sometimes it is okay to reward yourself with a little "a tikka masala". Just make sure you have enough inner strength to get back on the celery sticks the next day.

Thanks, its so nice to get moral support from you. And also nice to know I'm not the only one! you're right we are only human and can have little rewards from time to time... just been to the gym and done an hour and a half of cardio, so that just about burnt off the tikka masala I reckon. Nice healthy chicken salad for dinner and I'm back on track
