I would focus on the 21 pounds lost vs being in ketosis. Sounds like you are making wonderful progress. Would it make a difference if you were in Ketosis and still lost the same 21 pounds? Keep up the good work.

I have read this before and have always been below my BMR but not purposely. MFP sets my calories for me (I don't manually adjust). I'm set to lose 1 pound a week 5'7", Female, 193.8 pounds) Should I not let MFP do this for me? I can't say how long I've been under BMR since I've never really given it a thought until the…

Are you getting your exercise calories from the MFP database?

Similar situation here... I think its my measuring. My clothes are so loose. I can wear a size below what i used to wear. So I have to believe I have no idea how to properly measure. :)

Since you are a little fussy about what you drink (as am I), drink what you like and work it in to your weekly calories. Exercise a little more during the week to bank some calories. Like some suggested, see if you can use diet sodas to cut back some calories on drinks you like that involve soda. #nojudgementhere

6 weeks. I was losing small but steady during that time.

Now you just started something.....Bruegger's has a jalapeno cheddar that i just love.

Those burn numbers don't seem too unreasonable for the exercise so the culprit is likely your weighing. The HRM will still give you a better estimate of your burn. I have a Polar H7 and love it. The scale and HRM have really helped. I think you will see a difference with your logging and weight loss with both, especially…

I use the Nike+ app and I have a HRM. The calories Nike says I burn are often overestimated compared to my HRM. Depending on the workout, it can be up to 200+ calories over what my HRM says. So just be careful eating back calories based on the aap.

I think the previous poster was being sarcastic. :)

Love the FiberOne Lemon bar. Have you tried the chocolate? I have it but haven't tried it yet.

I would love to quit and not worry about every single thing I eat. But I know me and I'm a liar (when it comes to food). I will tell myself its really not that much, or its just this one time....and I don't mean it. Tracking makes me accountable to myself. I hope over time I learn to lie less. :) so until then, I'm happy…

I would give it a week. I doubt you gained 6 pounds. Give it a week to let it all even out and your TOM to be done. It's never as bad as you think. I like the comment about yesterday ending at midnight. Get back on track and move on.

I really think you took this the wrong way. I have read many comments by JaneiR36 and she was truly being helpful. She wasn't snapping at you. I didn't think your original comment was intended be funny but it could have been taken that weigh hence the classic response. All the other people were commenting were about why…

This. Even though you haven't gone over your weekly goal, it does seem to encourage overeating on purpose. It seems like it might be better to figure out a cause for the binging first and see if you can prevent the feeling/need to binge at any point. I know that's probably easier said than done but good luck with that you…

Increase to more than 1200 and try to fit in some of the items you like to splurge on daily so you don't feel so deprived. 1200 is so hard to manage. I would feel hungry all the time.

This! Great advice!

???? I'm one of those one or two Oreos a night person. Trust me its hard but for me eating more isn't worth it. It's easier for me to account for one or two a night than to build in a single serve pack once a week. I just can't plan that well. You are right. Each person has to find what works for them.

I weigh daily but only record on MFP once a week. I use the Happy Scale app to record daily and see trends. It really helps with figuring out large fluctuations that happen after high sodium meals or TOM. You can't freak out over every fluctuation when weighing daily. I find that it does keep me on track and accountable.

Not sure about healthy snacks but they have a triple ginger cookie that is awesome. ????

I think we can all agree to this, wheird.

I would argue that I'm not mentally unhealthy. I know where I am and where I need to go and am getting there. If that makes me mentally unhealthy, I will take it. I guess i was just pointing out the fact that when I said I'm healthy, I'm just saying i have no known issues. But I know that change any minute which is why I'm…

At my current weight, I'm considered obese. I look at myself and see fat, not necessarily obese but it is what it is. :) Every year, i have a physical exam including blood work. The only issue I normally have and that I have had since I was 15 is that I'm usually borderline anemic. No other issues. I am considered…

I only count water as water. If I add anything to it ie Crystal Light or Mio, it's no longer just water. Even its zero calories, it's still not water to me.
-
Yes. That's the key. You won't lose anything if you give up. It's not an option.

Thanks for clarifying mxmkenney. I'm new to calorie counting so I wasn't sure what the OP was asking.
-
Are you asking us to subtract for you? I'm not quite sure why you are asking how much. 5.8 pounds. Like another poster said, you are likely eating at a deficit and that would explain the weight loss. You are burning more calories than eating. You do burn calories without exercising. I hope this helps.

This thread has been very helpful. I try not to eat after 8 pm if I can help it but it does help to know I don't have to obsess over it since it doesn't matter with weight loss.
