hahhaha!!! I am the same exact way!!!!

Maybe I'll try workout mode again but randomly throw in a couple of steps here and there during yoga, so it knows I am awake!! haha. :) Really, this isn't the end of the world, but just one of those little things that irk me! Thanks everyone!

Ok cool! Thanks for the advice!

It can be tough in the winter! I do DVDs at my house (T25 and Tapout XT are my top 2 right now), and that helps considerably. I try to do one when I first get up in the morning. I find I have a lot less motivation after work as well as a bunch of other things I'd rather be doing. Running outside in the cold isn't as bad as…

I've noticed this happening to me here and there during intense workouts. Sometimes it's helped me to take my Fitbit off (too sweaty!!), wipe it down a bit, and put it back on.

HAHA!! Nice. Some of the badges are pretty funny. I get a kick out of the "Drinking your Paycheck" one too.

I love flights!!! It's helped me get into different styles of beer and branch away from IPAs (my favorite!). Good point about festivals! They can be really fun and a great way to try a lot at once.... though I agree - sometimes I get myself in trouble with trying TOO much! I try to stick to only one or so of those a year…

I would say Southern Tier, Tröegs, Victory, Sierra Nevada, and Lagunitas are among my favorite more well-known breweries. I live right outside Pittsburgh, PA, and I've been really pleased with our growing brewery/beer scene.. I'm not sure how far some of those brews are distributed, though (a fair amount of them don't…

HAHA!!! :) Well I have been on there since March 2013, so it will be 3 years on there soon! Maybe I joined it earlier than others? :) I also do count a beer if I've just sampled it in a flight.. to me, that is enough to make a rating!! Some people frown on that though!

Yes... love craft beer. Even got married at a local brewery :) I agree about it not really hindering progress, if you keep everything within your calories. I've been splurging way too much on craft beer among other things over the holidays (i.e. NOT within my calorie goal!!). I will still enjoy them on a weekly basis but…

I've been happy with the Fitbit Charge HR. It's water resistant, has a watch, and syncs well with MFP. I import my calories burned via my Fitbit into MFP and use MFP for my food calories. I like that the Fitbit can monitor more than just steps - heart rate and calories burned. Of course, since it's worn on the wrist, the…

Cool!! I hope you'll enjoy it :) I've made both many times and find them pretty easy and tasty! Good luck with trying out some new recipes!

I'm a big fan of the website SkinnyTaste in general. These are two of my go-to breakfast recipes. You can make it over the weekend, and it could last you all/most of the week. It's also easy to substitute any other ingredients that you'd want. You could add some sausage/bacon to get even more protein.…

I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind, but I really like the Lemon Zest Luna bars. I like them for breakfast when I'm on-the-go. They're 180 calories and remind me of this yummy lemon cake my aunt makes.

Honestly, I don't think it will be a big issue unless you lose the weight very quickly. I was at 168 at one point (awhile ago, before I joined MFP) and am about 135 lbs now (5'3"). I've always lost weight gradually, and have been in the 135 range for awhile now (had gone down a bit more but then came back up. ARGH! :P). I…

Nope. I can eat a lot more than that and lose weight. I'd be starving and cranky on 1200 calories. I guess it also depends on whether you mean 1200, or 1200 + exercise calories. Right now, I'm doing about 1400 + exercise cals.

Hello! Best of luck to you. I came across this (pasted at the very bottom) and thought it may be helpful (I'm playing Dr Google too, though!). I haven't experienced this personally, though. Along with rest, maybe it would be good to look into some of the stretches listed below? One other thing to think about.. do you have…

I've really enjoyed these (similar) frittata recipes featuring zucchini as one of the components! http://www.skinnytaste.com/2013/08/tomato-and-zucchini-frittata.html http://www.skinnytaste.com/2009/02/caramelized-onion-red-pepper-and.html I also really like this Mexican flavored side dish.. I usually pair it with some…

I don't think it's possible, especially at your starting weight (may be more feasible for someone 300-400+ lbs?). If by some chance you DID manage to lose that much weight in such a short time frame, you'd likely be losing mostly water weight. You would technically weigh less but probably wouldn't APPEAR like you weigh…

I measured myself with a thing I printed out from the site, and that seemed to show I was between a small and large. I was thinking of buying a large at first, based on the FAQ on the Fitbit site. Then I talked to a friend (who is about my size) who bought one. She has a small, so I figured I'd get the small too since it…

Hello! I have started this plan and like it so far: http://stronglifts.com/5x5/ I do other workouts (playing dek hockey, running, etc), so I am doing it 2x per week instead of 3. So far, I like it and feel like I'm getting stronger. I've been losing a bit of weight as well. It's only been a few weeks, so it's hard to say…

I like a lot of different flavored black and white teas. For example, mango black tea is one of my favorites. I don't add anything to it and find the flavor to be pleasant. Hope that helps.. if you stick with coffee, you could always try black, reducing the amt of creamer, etc. I have also tried putting vanilla protein…

I agree with both posts above! I've used Jefit in the past. It's nice for tracking workouts/weights used and also has some routines available in the app that you could use. I just started doing Stronglifts 5x5 (just did my 3rd workout yesterday!). It's pretty easy to follow and there aren't too many moves that you'd need…

I focus on getting enough fiber, protein, and healthy fats in my diet. I have found the website Skinny Taste to be VERY helpful.. tasty recipes which are light/lower in calories, but I feel good about the ingredients I'm using. I also find them to fill me up. Hope that helps!

I love craft beer :) Everything in moderation!

I use MapMyRun quite often and like that site/app a lot in general. As far as planning out a route, though, I find this site very useful: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/ You can have the site draw automatic lines for you if you're running on regular roads, or you can draw straight lines yourself (say you're running through…

I've never heard of Karhu. I am a big Brooks fan.. I've been wearing the Brooks Adrenaline GTS shoes for a few years now. Previously I was having some foot problems but haven't had any since (knock on wood). Granted before getting fitted (and Brooks GTS being suggested to me), I'd just buy the most colorful, cheapest shoes…

I don't think so. For me, it's all about moderation as well. I've found some high fiber versions, such as Ronzoni Smart Taste. They taste the same as "regular" white pasta to me, but it's nice to have the added fiber benefits.

Thanks @Whitetail24 :) I appreciate that!! It is helping me to have a running schedule and have long runs with my running group on Saturdays. I know I have to keep it up during the week so I can manage the long runs. Good luck to you as well.. seems you are off to a great start in the new year!

Hi everyone! I'm Sarah from Pittsburgh, PA. I'm doing my first half marathon in May and am training for that. One of my favorite cross training workouts is an MMA-style workout called Tapout XT, and I also like playing (dek/floor) hockey! Looking to lose about 10 lbs, or to look leaner in my stomach area (the actual weight…
