  • It does have a chest strap. It feels fine and comfy. It may take some getting used to if you have never worn one. It is elastic and fully adjustable. I didn't feel like I had to have it super snug in order to transmit signal. I am less than endowed in the boob department. I don't know if that makes a difference comfort…
  • I just bought the silver one and it fits just fine! I used it for the first time yesterday. I like it a lot. I found out that I have been over-estimating cardio cals and under estimating my strength training cals. Very interesting. Chest strap and watch fully adjustable. The only difference is the color. Enjoy!

  • Such a timely post. My wedding ring fell off while I was doing dishes yesterday. Thanks for generating all of those helpful solutions that I never even thought about!
  • Elliptical! Much more comfy on the joints. Also a great core strengthening exercise if you don't hold on to arm pumps or handles and balance yourself over the foot beds.
  • I started strength training about 3 months ago while using mfp. 1200 cal target. Ate all exercise cals. Guess what...plenty of muscle started showing up. I wasn't crazy about the idea of weights and strength training when I started. It takes extra time and energy and soreness, but it has really paid off. I also added some…
  • Great use for old jeans! I use them for felting too! At my heaviest I was not interested in shopping, so I don't have a lot of "fat clothes" I think I will keep them for a while, but def not in the closet. I have 2 sizes in the closet, 8 and 10. I have only bought 2 pairs of size 8 pants, I will buy more in the fall if the…
  • Why thank you ATBC!
  • Tonite at dinner, husband says "ugh, what's wrong with your nose?" I reply in angry sarcastic voice " they are pimples because I have my period!" shut him up real quick! You will feel better tomorrow. Even better if you don't completely go overboard!
  • Anyone. Anyone. Bueler. Bueler
  • I sort of learned KBs from Jillian michaels shred it with weights. I still do it here and there. Today I swung the KBs and other kb exercises between my strength training exercises at the gym. I like doing the kbs to my own music, but maybe I will try another dvd. The ones you mentioned sound like good recommendations
  • I'd give it a month. Try less reps with heavier weight if it seems to time consuming. I strength train 2-3x/week, the rest is cardio. Body needs to recover after strength training for a day or so. I also love my kettlebells which gives a nice cardio and strength workout at the same time.
  • Invest in a 10 or 15 lb kettlebell. Cardio and strength training at the same time with one piece of equipment. Tones arms and great for the core!
  • Now I get it! Don't I feel silly!
  • Am I missing the joke here? I don't get it.
  • Chocolate Graham goldfish dipped in all natural low sodium peanut butter. The PB is kinda soupy. I dip a spoon in pb, then dip it into pile of fish so that 2-3 stick to pb and then down the hatch. Maybe not that low cal, but it is probably better calorie wise than reeses. Obviously, ther is NOTHING better than a Reeses pb…

  • Love these, but yesterday I tried the sour cream kind and ate more than 2 servings! Delicious and low cal, but a little dangerous!
  • Yes. My old analog (dial) scale weighed me 5 lbs less than the new digital. I've read about this many times on the forums. I trust the digital. It's ok. Nothing has changed. It's just a number. Keep going.
  • bump. My husband turned on the tv at 7am because he wanted the charlie report. Total psycho!
  • Lol. I think that I am singlehandedly keeping the hot hands and toes company afloat! I go through boxes of them every winter! Congrats to you on your weight loss! Our start and end points are very similar.
  • I hear ya Chris. I am doing alot of strength training at the gym, and with kettlebells at home. I am getting some really nice muscle tone. I think the muscles would look nicer if I shaved a little more fat from them (assuming that the weight I lose is fat and not muscle) i'm not into the "skinny fat" look.
  • Love the cracker chips! I only regret that my whole family loves them too! Sometimes the box is empty when I get there:(
  • If loving mfp means that I am mentally ill, well then so be it. Put me in a padded cell with my ipad (and elliptical machine), I will be just fine!
  • totally agree. I think if a had to hoard my cals for the weekend, I would get too hungry and get off track. I have been eating about 300 cals over my 1200 allowed cals a day, and it has actually jump started my metabolism and I'm starting to see movement on the scale again!
  • Havnt posted here in a while, but glad to be back. I am post night shift, so I am in bed shopping on line for a cute bathing suit. Title 9 has really nice ones. Goodbye to February! Can't wait for Spring!!!
  • I love the elliptical. I burn MORE on elliptical than treadmill in the same amt of time. I feel like I should burn more with running because I'm exhausted, and it hurts. I think I am more efficient on elliptical because there is no pain and I can focus on the workout, not on my discomfort.
  • I know what you mean! I always feel slim in the AM, and slightly bloated or poofy after dinner. I have to remind myself that this is not true weight gain, and that it will be gone with the rising sun:)

  • I'm there. I reached my goal weight of 145 about a month ago, and I'm trying to lose a little more, but also working on maintenance. In general, I'm eating about 200 cals more than when I was actively losing. I really wish I could maintain without having to think about food and calories so much. I want it to be second…
  • I met a few times with a pt just so she could make a strength training program for me. Now i just go and do the program on my own. When I get bored with this routine, I'll meet with her again. If you meet with a pt 4x a week, that will really kick up your exercise and strength. If I had the time and $ I would do it. You…
  • That is so great JS. Love your positive attitude and enthusiasm!
  • Lose it slower. This seems like too much weight in 8 weeks. More gradual change will help you make more permanent sustainable changes.
