well first of all, everyone's body is different. Second you shouldn't do the same exercises everyday. And third if you train hard and eat right then within a year you should see results. I've been goin to the same gym since April 2008 I have biceps and noticable back muscles. You can see the muscles when I flex they are not where I want them to be at yet but I know within another year or so of hard trainin and eatin as clean as I can then it'll get there.

As far as exercises it doesn't seem like you are doin enough. I train my chest and back twice a week, legs twice a week and shoulders, arms and biceps twice a week. Abs three times a week and cardio everyday. I do no less than an hour and a half of exercisin a day. After every 2 weeks I change up my routine a bit to add change for my body.

I'd give it a month. Try less reps with heavier weight if it seems to time consuming. I strength train 2-3x/week, the rest is cardio. Body needs to recover after strength training for a day or so. I also love my kettlebells which gives a nice cardio and strength workout at the same time.
  • What exactly are wanting to tone? Weight training is the only way to 'tone' muscles. weight training is the only thing that reshapes the muscle that you have. It sounds like your on the right start. I would increase your weight & decrease your reps. If you need guidance on how to perform a correct back squat, lets just say, check out www.crossfit.com. On the left hand side you can see their video library of how to do different moves. The more weight that you can do, safely of course, the more & faster you will see results. Give yourself at least 6 weeks. I'd say to work out everyother day with heavy weight, on off days, run or row, & take 1 day completely off. :) I hope that this helps. Take Care.
