  • Good morning! Love that you woke up positive like this!!! That is key for this journey. Keep smiling and work hard. You got this, girl!!!
  • I LOVE Emerald's 100 calorie almond packs! Already portioned and perfect for throwing in your purse in case you need a snack on the go. I also love carrot and celery sticks with hummus, bananas, apples, and Teddie's unsalted super chunky peanut butter.
  • Agreed!!! One of my favorite sayings is If you think you can or think you can't, you're probably right!
  • First and foremost, welcome to MFP!!!! This is not only a great site to log your food and exercise, but to communicate and share support with people who know EXACTLY what you're going through. I don't have that much to lose, but I certainly can give you support and friendship! Feel free to add me! Good luck. You GOT…
  • First of all, you are NOT ugly. You are a beautiful woman trying to get fit. And that is commendable. :-) As far as the sweet tooth part, I SO hear you on that! That has always been my biggest problem. Don't give them up cold turkey. Slowly start to weed out the sweets and bad foods. Get better alternative sweets, like…
  • Hello and welcome, Lauren! You have the right attitude to begin your healthy lifestyle. I wish you much success and happiness! -Jessica
  • The number one way to successful weight loss and general healthiness is very simple, yet VERY hard, CONSISTENCY. If you stick with eating healthy and keeping active, you will see results. It's the fall backs that discourage us, myself included, to keep it going again. I recently had an extreme lack of motivation and…
  • First of all, welcome! MFP is a GREAT tool for keeping you accountable and finding people all over that are the same situation as you and know how you feel. Everyone has been great! Feel free to add me and good luck in your journey to a new and healthy you!
  • First of all, I refrain from posting a lot of things on Facebook, whether it be my eating, exercising or general opinions. People are too nasty on there. You posted a question on FB, and you got an answer, one that you didn't like and was hurtful. I am NOT by any means saying it's your fault, I just don't post much on FB.…
  • Hi, Kristen and welcome! MyFitnessPal has been such a great tool for me. It keeps me accountable for what I am consuming. It's quite different when you have to log everything you consume and you see it in black and white. Feel free to add me as a friend and good luck!
  • SWEETS! Every tooth in my mouth is a sweet tooth! That has been the hardest part, food wise, to stay on track. I have been slipping a little lately, but I am ready to cut it out and get back to it! I have worked too hard to let it all go to waste! My favorite quote? "Nothing tastes as good as how I feel!!!"
  • I never thought I would say this, but I love running! My mom is a runner and trained me into it over a year ago. I'm hooked! I do several 5ks a year and would love to shoot for a 10k next year. I also do lots of weight training. I love the arc trainer at the gym. Bikram yoga is a great way to unwind and sweat out all the…
  • How old are your sneakers? If they are getting old, you might want to invest in a new pair that has better cushioning. Secondly, I would recommend you get better socks! Powersox are fantastic and have great cushioning and support. I have those along with Puma, Adidas and Under Armour for my workout socks and they are all…
  • OMG I feel your pain! I can literally put my fist in the space between my bra and boob! lol

  • When I started my weight loss journey in June 2011, I was a 40D. I am now wearing a 36D but my bras are now too big! Keep in mind, I am also doing a lot of weight lifting. I do need to go buy new bras (regular and sports). Thanks for the reminder! lol

  • I understand how that can be frustrating. I have been there. Don't let it discourage you. Just keep eating healthy and exercising and you will see results. Look at it this way, you didn't gain weight overnight so you certainly won't lose it overnight. It has taken me a little over a year to lose 42 lbs. You can do it!!!…
  • I don't like running on the treadmill (I feel like a damn hamster), but I'm in training and have no choice if I can't get outside. I LOVE watching TV while exercising! That is how I got hooked on Big Bang Theory! lol! Just reading the captions I was laughing out loud hysterically and everyone was looking at me! haha But it…
  • I weigh myself every Friday morning as soon as I wake up and after I pee lol I would suggest weighing yourself once a week but at the same day of the week and same time. Mornings are usually better because if you weigh yourself at night it wouldn't be accurate if you just had a meal an hour or two ago. Just my two cents.…
  • Welcome, Jimmy! I hope you will find My Fitness Pal as useful as I have! My trainer always told me to log my food and I never did until I started using this. It's quite different to see what you are eating when you have to log it in! Definitely makes me feel accountable. Good luck on your journey and feel free to add me as…
