Ok. So I'm home and trying to get my feet under me. I have a home health care nurse coming a couple of times per week. I'm in two forms of IV antibiotic and all of my nutrition currently comes via TPS (IV). I had a leak. My husband called the dr and was told the pain I was experiencing was "normal". EMTs and ER staff said…

Ok, so, it sure is good to be home. Surgery was Aug. 10. Rushed to ER on Aug 11/12 (middle of night) with leak. JUST got sent home yesterday (evening). Too tired to get into details now, but wanted to update.

It's MediFast type food. Mix with water or chicken broth and consume. There are protein shakes I make with water, protein gelatin I make with water, Chicken Pasta protein soup I make with broth, and so on and so on.

Thank you all, so much! I truly appreciate the support. Friend requests coming your way for those that offered. My husband is fantastically supportive, but of course he doesn't truly understand.

You're one week ahead of me. I'll be getting sleeved on Aug. 10th. Good luck!

You don't. You merely keep them busy and amused. Red Squirrel Assault Course - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TamMqvk4Bb8

I never thought I would ever say this, but Lane Bryant (Cacique) has just come out with some new sports bras that are actually quite good. They are comfortable, and hold things nicely. I typically wear a 40 E, but in the Cacique sports bra I wear a 38 DDD, so size down accordingly, or go to a store and try them on.…

Yep. This is what I'm currently doing!

A pound is a pound, the world around. Muscle does not weigh more than fat. It's just more dense. Anyway, don't lose motiviation so soon. I'm 10 months in and still going strong, despite not losing an oz. for the past 2 months. I just know that if I keep on keeping on that scale is going to move sometime in the future.

This is my story as well. I lost 45+ lbs last year before being diagnosed in September. My diagnosis was spurred by my A1C and cholesterol levels skyrocketing as a result of that weight loss. My GP sent me to a metabolic specialist as a result, and he diagnosed me with PCOS/Insulin Resistence. The weight loss continued…

As someone who works with young adults with disabilities, I suggest you contact Vocational Rehabilitation for your area of Georgia, refer yourself for services and see if you qualify. You can start here: http://www.vocrehabga.org/vrfacts.html

I would suggest you see a doctor, who could then point you to a PT. I tried a chiropractor for years, but ended up having spinal surgery. I wish I had skipped the chiro and gone straight to a doctor.

My husband had his at age 40. I brought him home about an hour to an hour and a half after surgery. About two days after surgery he discovered that the thing that made his throat feel the best was Guinness.

That can certainly be a symptom of a panic or anxiety attack.

Methinks someone may have a bit of paranoia to boot!

If only it were this easy for someone with true clinical depression and anxiety issues. And yes, having a regular exercise routine has definitely helped me. But when you are in a true downswing, just having the energy to get out of bed or off the couch is a challenge. Finding the energy and motivation to exercise is nearly…

Hello there neighbor!
-
Nope, but I have a friend who does. I was just up there 2 weeks ago at Ft. Meigs for a school field trip. My mean friend took me to Mr. Freeze.

Bite your tongue. I need those two months to complete coursework to keep my teaching license!

Feel free to add me as well.

Well? How did it go? I walked on the treadmill while watching the Pig on TV. How are you feeling today?

I just started week 4 of Kettle Worx. I started out with the 5 pounder, and moved up to the 10 pounder during week 3. Like IrishHarpy1, after the first day my legs hurt SO badly I could barely function. But after the second day, everything improved. I do curse while doing it, especially when he tells me to "go to a happy…

If it helps, I'm older than you are!

Welcome, almost neighbor! I've long since left my 20's, but I refuse to grow up!
