  • By the way you can be size 4 again. I gained weight with my 2nd pregnancy, started lifting free weights and 6 weeks later went down 3 sizes. This is without diet or cardio. My girlfriend had a baby 2 years ago and ate a few too many whoppers at Burger King. She gained 65 pounds and is only 5 ft 4 inches. Needless to say…
  • Try doing multiple 10 minute sessions of cardio such as Turbo Jam, Billy Blanks Tae Bo, etc. In 10 minutes you can burn around 100 calories with Turbo Jam. Do three sessions a day and you already burned 300 calories without noticing it. Cut back on 200 calories and walah you will lose 1 pound a week.
  • Good luck~ I also train hard 6 to 7 days a week. I don't take days off because I really enjoy it. I just do different body parts. I already went down 6 pounds in 1 month. I met my goal and even am lower than I anticipated.
  • How much does Great Abs cost? Does it use any fitness balls or is it using your body's free weight?
  • Thanks for letting me know. I already have plenty of weight lifting workouts. I am always looking for high burning calorie aerobics to supplement my weight lifting.
  • I also primarily gain weight in my middle. Think about what you are trying to achieve, less weight or a flat stomach. When I first tackled trying to lose weight 5 years ago I started lifting free weights at home every day for 6 weeks for 1 hour in the morning. I didn't lose a ton of weight (I went from 118 to 107 pounds)…
  • I feel your pain. I ate a whole day worth of calories yesterday between 3 and 6 p.m. That hurts. The day before wasn't any better. I ate my whole day worth of calories within a couple of hours. I went way over in calories both days. However, I made sure I did a lot of extra exercising. I had a hard time fitting in long…
  • Everyone you have to try Turbo Jam. I have been working out for 5 years. This is by far the best cardio dvd I have ever purchased. I was quite sore after working out. If you want to burn fat quick, this is the tape to get. Most tapes I purchase I think are woosy. I am finally happy to get one that is hard core.
  • Thanks for the feedback. I always do two exercises of lower, two upper, two transverse and two oblique. Maybe I will focus more on lower. That area is always the hardest to get nice and hard.
  • Interesting technique.
  • I just tried this DVD last night. It was awesome. I was a great workout that burned lots of calories. It also comes with weighted hand weights you wear like a glove. I like these also.
  • You do 30 to 40 reps in a row of one exercise before going to another?
  • Great feedback everyone.
  • Thanks for your feedback.
  • How many reps do you do for your ab routines. I just read an article in Muscles and Fitness Hers to do 1 ab day with 2 sets of 15 reps each and 1 set of 20 reps to total 50 reps per exercise and 48 hours later do 5 sets of 6 reps each for each exercise. The fitness model said this shocks the body. However, I have done 45…
  • I am able to stop the munching by saying anything I eat after 6:00 p.m. I need to do a cardio routine to burn off. Unless I want to do aerobics all night long, I quickly learn to get my eating at night under control. I read one article that keeps me in check. It talked about Sumo wrestlers. They eat a lot of food and go to…
  • What is Slim & Six? Is that 90X? I just bought Turbo Jam, received it tonight and already tried it. I really like those hand weights. It seems like a great workout. I go to the gym during the week and use the elliptical. However, on the weekends I like to work out at home and want to burn as many calories doing my cardio…
  • I finally received it today. I will try it and let you know what I think.
  • I started out 6 years ago with baby fat in the stomach after having two kids. I went down 4 sizes and kept it off for 5 years. However, the past year has been not as favorable. I put on a few pounds which I came to this site to lose. Within 2 weeks of joining, I am down to my goal weight. I am going to keep tracking so I…
  • Great job. Hard work does pay off.
  • I am extremely over the edge about exercising. I jump out of bed at 4:40 to get to the gym at 5:00 each morning. I work out for an hour and a half. I absolutely love starting my day burning so many calories. By the time I go to work I have already burned 600 calories.
  • You can do it. Make sure to incorporate free weights along with tracking your food. I am 38 with 2 kids and I didn't start working out until I was 32. I lost 3 sizes in 6 weeks by using weights and watching what I ate.
  • Has anyone tried these DVD's. They ranked pretty good at Beachbody for calorie burn; however, I wanted to see if anyone has had results.
  • I just bought this DVD; however, it hasn't arrived yet. I will let you know how it goes. However, it was ranked on the Beachbody site as burning a lot of calories-it says it can burn up to 700 calories in 45 minutes. However, I am always skeptical. I log less calories burned because I am very petite and it is harder for me…
  • You can do it. I am 38 with 2 small children also. I was able to lose 3 sizes in 6 weeks by doing free weights at home in the morning along with bursts of cardio for 1 min in between. Free weights are cheap, easy to use and don't require a gym membership. My kids now try to create new exercises for me. Just remember the…
  • I just joined this site 2 weeks ago. I met my goal weight today for the first time in over a year. I workout at the gym like a crazy person; however, I couldn't seem to lose the 3 pounds I put on this year due to me making poor lunch choices with coworkers. Tracking my calories kept me on track. I didn't realize how much I…
