And what your favorite work out is.
I work out in the evenings after work. and dinner.
I tried to work out in the morning but I am NOT a morning person.
My favorite is jumping on the Treadmill and just go. I speed up when I want to, I control the Incline. and can go as long as I want to.
So, When do you like to work out and what do you do when you workout?

Sometimes I hate them all.
Hard to pick a fave. Treadmill is still novel because I just started using it, but it's more boring to me than weights, where I'm switching muscle groups every few minutes. I guess my fave would be what I call Torso Day when I work my abs. I keep visualizing myself with a magnificant six pack!
And the When is right after work. If I leave it for later it won't get done.0 -
I am definately a morning person so I exercise in the morning. I'm up at four to deliver newspapers & then exercise right here at home. I actually prefer home to a gym cause no one cares if I have "bed hair" or if I haven't brushed my teeth. I turn the news on & do my thing. The nicest part of being a morning person is that I feel really good all day knowing I already "did my thing"....My favorite is the Bowflex.0

Mostly evenings right before dinner0

I'm usually late evenings, with dinner after.
My favorite is spinning, but I'm renewing my romance with the eliptical.
I love the way I feel after yoga as well.

I used to do the treadmill at 3 when the kids got home from school but I have been sidelined from that due to a stupid foot thing.....ugh.
Now I work out mid morning, I work from home so the choice has finally become mine, usually get to the gym for cardio around 8 and then I do weight class 4-5 times a week that is an hour so I am home by 10.
I have found that if I don't do it early I am not as consistent, I find excuses...like laundry or some bs like that!0 -
I go to curves usually five days a week. I go about 4 when my kids all get home from school and my husband is home from work. I go on Saturday in the morning if I miss a day during the week. I love Curves! It is a great escape for me!! I am not really dropping much weight but I am dropping some inches. My trainer insist it is muscle I am gaining and I don't really need to drop much weight anyway. Just some flab!! I have learned to stop looking at the scale. It is how you feel and look not what you weigh.0

Hardly ever in the morning - and to me morning lasts until whenever lunch is. One time during a kickboxing class, someone encouraged me go to the 10:30 Saturday class to fine tune the moves. I asked if I could bring my coffee. She took me seriously.
I went to an awesome strength training class at 9:45 on Wednesday, and it was a nice feeling to have most of my workout done. However, I didn't get lunch until after 2 - I nearly gnawed my arm off.
My favorite time is before dinner.
I most of the classes I've taken. Not to fond of dancing/nia/salsa/belly stuff. Mostly because I have the rhythm of Ronald Reagan. Love the way I feel/sleep after yoga. Also like elliptical or treadmill if it's in front of a t.v. watching movies. My favorite is walking in the woods with friends.0 -
Exercise time for me is 6:30 pm. I work from home and know from experience that I can wander off into an alternate dimension and not wander back in for several hours when I really get to working on a project so that exercise time is a set scheduled time, that way, I know I'll get it done. As for the whats, it's 70 minutes of dancing that incorporates everything from latin style to 1960's funk (yep, even do the swim, whatusi, mashed potato, shimmy and pony). :noway: It's a routine that I designed and choreographed myself, which may not work for anyone else, but hey ~ it's fun and effective for me0

I go to the gym right after work.....if I go home first, I always find an excuse not to go! :blushing:0

I work out at 0230 in the morning, its about the time I have to make that trip to the restroom from drinking way too much water during the day...so I just head to the gym work out and come home shower change and sleep for a few more hours and head to work.... then I go to structured aerobic/step/spin and ab classes in the evenings.0

I'm not a morning person either, which I find hilarious considering my job is driving a school bus, so usually work out anywhere I can fit it into my day and before supper is a good time because I don't feel so hungry after a workout. But if I manage to get it done right after my morning bus run, I feel a better sense of completion. I feel good for the rest of the day. So I might have to change my when because in the pm I do it and then I feel like, "well I finally got that done!" :grumble: and I would rather feel really great and upbeat than that's one more chore I got out of the way. I hope you understand this, it is totally a mind issue with my timing. ~Karen0

I work out in the late evening after work 5 days a week. I do30-50 minutes of cardio every day and lift weights (2 circuits on the nautilus machines) every other day (M,W,F). I also work out one day on the weekend and switch between 60-90 minutes of cardio:grumble: and a really heavy lifting day :indifferent: it depends on my mood. If I choose to lift I still do 30 minutes of cardio to burn the calories. I usually do water calisthenics once or twice a week for 15-20 minutes. A 10 minute sauna is my treat after a workout.0

I'm a little neurotic when it comes to my workouts.
I workout at 5:00 am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays.
I also workout at 6:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays.
And I end the week with at 9:00 am workout on Saturdays and Sundays.
I also try to get in a mile walk at lunch Monday through Friday.
I think I'm addicted. :laugh:0 -

Holy cow....can you pls come and boot camp by butt because I'm too lazy to reach my Christmas fitness goals this week or any week since I've started now that I think about it!0 -
I am extremely over the edge about exercising. I jump out of bed at 4:40 to get to the gym at 5:00 each morning. I work out for an hour and a half. I absolutely love starting my day burning so many calories. By the time I go to work I have already burned 600 calories.0

Unfortunately, just like your diet and nutrition, the only person that can make you do it is you. You must be motivated and want it. The best thing that I can suggest is maybe to find a workout partner. If you go to a gym, look around and notice who's there everyday that you are, talk to them and see if they are interested in having a workout partner. A lot of people want workout partners but are too shy to approach people and ask. Talk to them and see if they have similar goals and if they are compatible fitness wise. Ask a friend to join you at an exercise class. Having a workout partner will keep you accountable, you will be less likely to skip your workouts because you are there not only for yourself, but are responsible to be there for someone else as well. If you workout at home, see if your spouse or a neighbor or friend would want to be your workout partner.
I have a workout partner for my morning workouts. My business partner is my walking partner at lunch. And I have a group of 4 friends that meet me at the gym in the evenings for classes. All these people help to motivate me. I have an obligation to each of them to be there. It helps to keep me focused.0 -
I hit the gym after work 5-6 times per week. Does sound like a lot, but its a stop on the way home, 1/2 -45 min work out does the trick.0
