  • Most likely the protein! I have the same issue. I mean, it could be other things too but that would be my first guess only because I have that problem.
  • the exact same thing happens to me. If I eat anything with more than just a little sodium, I will retain water too, my body is very sensitive to sodium. I take what I have eaten into account when I see a unusual weight gain and within a few days it usually comes off.
  • I was shocked when my family got to go sandwiches from Firehouse. Turkey is usually the best option... their Turkey sandwich is like 790 calories! I almost had a stroke! Its more than the steak and cheese! NO turkey from Firehouse lol.
  • I am barely 5 ft, I work at a desk and have a 1200 calorie diet. My diary is open if you send me a friend request. I dont have a diet per se but I think I manage well with it.
  • honestly I want one but I am having such a hard time spending alot of money on a good one and the cheap ones just arent even worth worrying with. I keep saying to myself, do i really need this to help lose the weight? technically, no, but i want one. i just want a quality tracker at a good price and cant fine one.
  • I have my coffee and have started having a smoothie to take to work. 1/2 cup of almond milk, 1/2 cup frozen berries, 1/2 cottage cheese. its about 170 cals and at 10 I have one boiled egg. That puts me thru till 12, lunch. I dont get hungry and that is huge for me.
  • it can be tedious but I have to do it to keep going and get it right. I just discoved the scanner so I love that lol.
  • I have to do very low sugar in order to lose or I just wont stick to it. I only cut out the very obvious like soda's, candy, cakes and that sort and I wont do that forever. Just until I can lose some and control the cravings and portions. I still have my macro allowed amount of sugar most of the time but the processed…
  • George Foreman grill is the best thing since sliced bread lol. Spray with non stick spray sparingly, salt and garlic powder on veggies ( i make cauliflower "steaks", fresh green beans, cabbage "steaks", brussel sprouts cut in half and more) and grill them. You can get a small one at a thrift store anywhere just about it…
  • I am at 1200 calories but I am only 5 ft so thats why. After a few weeks I will probably switch to 1300. Feel free to add me too! I am also starting over after losing 17 lbs 3 yrs ago and gaining back that and more.
  • check your scale. Just realized mine was wrong by weighing 2 days in a row (which I do not plan to do on a normal basis). I was down 4 lbs on the 3rd day and then back up 4 the next day. Getting a new one today. Also I check my calories from 3 or so sources online. Sometimes they are really off. I only have 4 days in right…
  • Not sure if its a "mini" goal but I am looking forward to the first 20 lbs to be gone. Once I get 15-20 off I finally feel like I am making progress!
  • if it fits into your daily calories and u like it, drink it. I always loved Dr. Pepper. I stopped drinking it because the sugar in it put me too far over daily allowance. After 10 weeks without one the other day I drank one and it seemed to sweet for me. Didn't even finish it.
  • you know what happens to " skinny cute" little girls like that? In their minds they " act " skinny and cute.... and men see this. They usually use them for sex and toss them to the side because they have such a nasty disposition. Then before they know it, this has happened so many times they are 30 yrs old and still never…
  • finally got it to work. pic on right is before. only 16 lbs but my face is so much slimmer!
  • no clue if this will work ..... http://s1279.photobucket.com/user/sage4dylan/media/3bf87497-9e4c-4108-bb56-76152c7b0787.jpg.html ok, guess not
  • I had a really severe sprain 3 months ago. I ave tried pushing forward with excersize. Found out quickly it only sets me back further. I can't jog or dance around on it without pain. I can tell if I do I won't even be able to walk everyday so I don't. I suggest dialing it down for a while. Trust me, you don't want to push…
  • I soooo understand. seems like 400 lbs to me too.
  • 1st person I've seen on here at my exact height and SW! very inspiring!
  • you know I have looked back at my weight loss in the beginning too (even tho its only been two months total, not much) and wonder if its something I was doing better then. I know I was eating a lot cleaner then than now. I still keep under my calorie goal but am eating a lot more processed food now. What really sucks about…
  • I was working at a McDonalds yrs ago as a cashier next to the interstate. Busta Rhymes came in with his huge body guard. All the young girls working were giggling and staring and whispering... he was very obnoxious and rude even tho no one said one word to him. I wasn't impressed. Of course I was never a fan to begin with.…
  • I seem to have hit one too. I am super short too ( 5'0 ) so the pounds come on quickly if I mess up my calorie count. Its been a month for me. No weght loss or inch loss... it sucks lol.
  • lol....yeah.... I get that. I was being a little sarcastic there about what the other person posted about estimates. That was sort of my point.
  • YES!!! no need to be so rude to ppl. That was my issue in this thread and the only reason I posted. Of course I am sure there will be rudeness directed at you and I also for taking up for the OP... but carry on, it won't affect my day one way or the other LOL!
  • well she cleary said she measures her food out... that's not estimating. She also says she uses an HRM. If you can do nothing but " estimate" with an HRM, a cardio machine or MFP database then we are ALL just estimating. Even if you use a formula to calculate calories, its still just your own "estimate". So if its all…
  • well it keeps me WAY cooler when its up. I'm already sweating, no need to make it worse. plus I can't stand it falling in my face.
  • I was wondering the same thing about myself. I have only lost 15 lbs and my clothes are looser but haven't dropped a pants size yet. 48 is a lot.... hmmm.
  • I may also end up taking a week break at maintenance calories. This is only my 8 the week dieting for the first time EVER and I have done great so far but am stalled out. Hoping it will help me get thru it cuz it sucks.
  • you have probably been asked this a hundred times but have you found out you BMR and maintenance calorie totals? or TDEE? I sort of took all that info and made sure I had at least around a 400 cal deficit daily. I have been stalled for a few weeks on the actual scale but starting to be able to tell I am losing by looking…
