Wow! Great results! Keep it up!

Ice, Ibuprofen and a stiff soled shoe! If it is a stress fracture, it could take up to two weeks to show up on an xray. You don't want a lot of bending of that foot, or you could turn it into a full blown fracture.

I agree! I don't think you have another 20 pounds to lose. It's just a number and you look great, you feel great don't worry about it!

Wow! Good for you! Amazing results!

Wow, that was easy! I just researched onlline how to figure out how many gms of each equal 40/30/30. Then did all the math. Just to see that it calculates all that for you as soon as you put it 40 % for carbs. That's why I love this site! It sure is gonna take a while to figure out how to eat that way. I was set at closer…

I have heard about the shoes that simulate walking barefoot. I am in podiatry. I have worked with a total of 3 drs at the same office for the last five years. This may be a controversial subject, but all three drs I have worked for say absolutely not! Especially on the treadmill. Of course, when they say that, they are…

I don't know a whole lot about the subject, but you are still exerting energy, and muscles are still working. I would think that you could benefit from protein even after a cardio only routine. Maybe not as much as a protein shake, but I still like to have some usually in the form of milk, chocolate milk, string cheese,…

I'm in North Idaho, so kinda in the same boat. I have some videos during these months and for Christmas the kids and I got dance dance revolution for the wii. I can set it for 30 minutes and it usually takes me 40 to complete the 30 minutes of dance time and usually burn between 400-500 calories per session. When it's not…

Man, I just love how this thread has taken off!!!! Yesterday I felt as if I was the only one with this problem, but now I see that there are many of us tall, beautiful ladies. I have always found if very hard to set realistic goals for myself. I will never be 36-24-36 (ha ha baby got back!!!!) I don't think I mentioned…

Mamakat, I love your outlook. I feel the same way and when I read your post I laughed out loud! I am from North Idaho, we are almost neighbors! :flowerforyou:

I started out weighing myself once a week. As I started losing more, I found that I like looking at that number so much that I started weighing everyday. I don't let it get to me if I am up one day and then down the next. I would write it down on a calendar everyday, but instead of comparing it to the day before, I would…

That's so funny! I work in a medical office and I get asked almost daily "how are you doing it?" They all want to hear that I have this amazing pill that you can take and it just all falls off. It's a big joke with my coworkers because they know how much it drives me crazy. We have talked about making up the name of some…

Wow, thanks for all the information! That makes me feel better. I go in for my MRI in the morning. I have gotten more range of motion out of my knee these last couple of days, but haven't noticed much decrease in pain. I woke up this morning and thought, "of course, the day before my MRI and it wants to get better!" But…

Thanks Crystal! That really helped! It's amazing how I'm learning new things all the time. Not that I thought I had all the answers, but I had never heard about leptin before. The changing up the calorie count thing I have known, just by doing it. I usually let myself eat almost whatever I want to one day a week (without…

you could try to add some protein at lunch time. I also noticed that you hadnt had any fruits all day. how about your dairy. try a string cheese or a glass of milk with your dinner.

i alternate between raisin bran, honey bunches of oats with almonds, and frosted mini wheats. they have lots of fiber and protein and taste great too. one cup with one cup of skim milk is always around 300 calories and gets me full until snack time!

i agree! i have had a few weekend trips these last few weeks and didnt always eat the way i should have. come monday morning i was up a pound maybe 2, but by tuesday i was back at the weight i was before i left. if it comes on that quickly it goes away just as quick. dont beat yourself up! just make sure to go right back…

i started out with slim fast and it had set my calories at 1900. i was only eating 1500-1600 of those though. i was faithfully losing 2 pounds a week. when i came to this site, it dropped my calories to 1270, then 1240. i was able to do it, but i noticed that my weight loss stopped. well, not stopped, but definately slowed…

thanks for all the advice, i will try it all. i have come way too far to give up this time. i did notice that i havent been having as much water as i was before. i had so much today that i think im floating. i also noticed that lately i have been trying not to eat my calories burned so that maybe i will lose quicker. i…

thats so awesome!!! i am proud of you. you give me inspiration. i am at that 2 minute right now. i decided that i would like to start running. we (my husband and i) have been hiking a hill near our house and the last week and a half we have been trying to run off and on. i also tried a few days of running around my block.…

i did keep pretty good records of my weight loss. i looked back and it looks like i lost 10 pounds and 5.5 inches in my first 6 weeks. i did the program a little differently though. it took me 2 weeks on the first video, and 4 weeks on the second video. i did them 5 days a week instead of 6 and i never tried the six day…

i guess i had a similar problem at first. i didnt lose a single pound in my first 2 weeks, but i noticed several inches. then the weeks to follow i definately started losing. my slim in six lasted way more than six weeks. i did it for several months. from december until i think april. during that time i lost around 20…

thanks for the tips. no, we dont have a lifetime fitness around me. i will have to look into who can do that for me around here. i have however heard that the body can get used to the amount of calories you take in similar to how it gets used to the exercise you do. someone said it was in jillian's book from the biggest…

I'd like to know how you feel about eating the calories burned or not. There are definately days when I do, or sometimes im slightly over or under. The way I see it, it just means I will lose quicker if I don't, slower if I do. What I am worried about, is am I slowing my metabolism and putting my body into "starvation…

did anyone else get the next series? i tried tone it up today. my heartrate stayed around 140 bpm and im trying to figure out what to put that under for my exercise diary. it was cardio with weights. so it seems like maybe its more than weight training, and more than regular cardio videos. i think i added it as circuit…

when i did the program a few months ago, i only did the videos. i would do the ab routine and the stretching every morning five days a week, then the video in the evening 5-6 days a week. i really found that it worked well for me, but as the weather got better i moved to outdoor activities. im thinking about adding it back…

thank you guys so much. i really appreciate all the different ideas. it all kinda makes since. when i first started out doing my videos (which had some cardio and some strength training), i noticed more all over inches being lost. but it started to get easier, and so i changed up my routine moving on to more cardio than…

Hey!!! I'm new to this site and so far I really like it. I have been on my weight loss journey since the end of December, and am down 22 pounds. I have been counting my calories and doing slim in six videos. I live in Idaho and we haven't been having the greatest of weather until recently. I can't wait until the warmer…
