Running in the morning is the best. Embrace it. If it's indeed still dark, visibility vest and, even a headlamp/taillight isn't a bad idea. And a camera to catch the occasional spectacular sunrise. . .

I already have ice cream, so no need to go anywhere. . . at all.

My advice is get a training plan and stick to it. Just about any plan (most based on Hal Higdon or Jeff Galloway) as seen here.

@garygse To me, Frees felt like well broken in Vomeros as far as support, cushioning goes. . . well, initially. After this first four miles my feet felt pretty much the same they felt running barefoot on the shoreline. That is not a bad thing, at all. That lasted only a couple days, anyway. Pairing with Injinji socks, even…

@_nikkiwo_ Not me. :) I don't consume alcoholic beverages. Now local bike shop and mountain bike club did a Dirt and Doughnuts Gravel Grinder (one year they did cupcakes). Get a time bonus for every doughnut consumed on course. Except, once again, something else I don't really consume-- get sick after just one. Maybe I'm…

@garygse Vomero is an easy shoe to transition to Free from, as well. That's what I did. With Nike, there's a good possibility of getting off-price at a Factory or Clearance store.

What?

I know a few that swear by Pegasus. If you can find for the same or similar price, I think Vomero holds up slightly better and is more comfy in the long run, but at MSRP, there really isn't' a better shoe.

@_dixiana_ Cool! Those look similar to my old Merrell Trail Gloves. . . These is my new trail shoes. And yes, proper work attire. No one says bupkis.

We would look at a table to see what we saw and use it to saw the table in half. The two halves make a whole. Then yell through the hole till our voices grew hoarse. Get on the horse and ride home.

Yesterday after running in torrential downpour. In Car waiting for rain to subside.. . . decided to keep it on the profile.
