I had a lot of knee pain when I was around 300. When I got down to the low 200s, I was able to run a little, but it was still a lot of pressure on my joints. I wouldn't recommend running at 300 pounds, but that's just me. Walking is a great exercise!!

How was your first week? I started on 5/26 and lost 11.4 pounds the first week! Granted, I had probably 3 pounds or so of bloat from the Memorial Day weekend festivities. But I'll take it!

I agree with the recommendations to have a professional fitting. There are some national chains like Fleet Feet, but if you don't have one in your area, you can contact a local running club for a store recommendation.

I'm sure it would be the same if you used a tablespoon of it. It is still canola oil. That said, canola oil is a healthy fat so I say just use it!

I have a 2008 light blue Honda CR-V. When I bought it, I thought it said "responsible, safety conscious professional". Now I think it says "I like to drive the same car as everyone else in the free world."

I am going on vacation next week too & have decided to just treat it like it is any other week. I'll be at my family's home on the coast so I'll have a full kitchen, etc. I'm going to wake up Sunday morning and pre-journal my week like I always do. My exercise will consist of walks on the beach. I'm going t skip the fruity…

I did not save any fat clothes from my 105 pound loss. And here I am back up 50 of those pounds and I've had to buy all new clothes. My wallet is not happy. But I've kept all my skinny clothes so I won't have to buy on the way back down!

I do a lot of the things suggested. The first thing I do when I get home from the store is separate my meat (beef, turkey, chicken) into single serving portions & freeze them in small freezer bags. Then I can just take that out & cook it. I also will make a recipe for something (casserole) and freeze the individual…

I can't wait to get back to my group power classes. Right now I can't do squats or lunges as I have no range of motion. But I'll get there!

I think the best part is that I actually stopped when I was full. That's a huge NSV for me.

I plan my meals a week at a time. I spend about an hour on Sunday afternoon pre-journaling the week. I find that it works best for me this way. Plus if I know a particular "meal" is coming up, I get really excited.

I am recovering from reconstructive ankle surgery & can't walk either. My physical therapist has recommended the stationary bike (not the recumbent) with no resistance. I'll gladly take that - I haven't been able to exercise in almost a year!

This is a single serving recipe - obviously you can adjust to your needs... 1 T olive oil 1 T balsamic vinegar (sometimes I use white which is really good!) 1 T deli mustard minced garlic to taste So good! The mustard really makes it stick together.
