Hey Sean, What would be the difference in terms of days per week between Very active BMR x 1.725 Extra active BMR x 1.9 in the Harris-Benedict Formula? Thanks

I found the best help and tips was from watch YouTube videos. Just search Meal Preps!

Going to try this! Thanks!!

Excellent. The first race is always one you will remember! Very nice metal too!

I just learned of this from Mike Dolce. He is a trainer for many of the MMA Fighters who has his own workout program and nutritional program. Just search under his name / Chia seed pudding in YouTube. He has a great vid there. I've done it and it is super easy, even my wife makes her own now. It is basically 3 teaspoons of…

I do something similar to the mini egg muffins but instead add my eggs / egg whites/ some veggies like onions and peppers and then cut up slice chicken breasts. Add all this to a small container then when I get to work mix it all together and microwave for 2.5 minutes. Quick, easy and fresh!

Great idea, thanks!

Thanks for sharing!

I love P90X but Body Beast quickly became my favorite within the first few weeks. I am currently doing a hybrid between Body Beast and TapOut XT. You made a good choice in Body Beast... Enjoy!

@ Luvmichnata - What a fantastic idea... thanks!

Good for you, good call! I hate that too even way pets are involved. Nothing is better when you hear of a Police Officer smashing in a car window to rescue a child or pet. If I was them I would break every window!

Personally to do anything on top of Insanity I think is just over kill and could certainly hurt more then help. C25K is a great, nice and slow build up to a 5 k run program but I think you need to pick just one to start.

Pumpkin seeds are loaded with protein. 1/4 cup has a huge 18 g of protein!

Funny and so true. This reminds me of Seinfeld skit where he talks of our love of water... we drink water, we wash in water, we swim and shower in water but as soon as we feel a few drops of rain we ALL go running for cover like it is the worst thing ever!!!!

Hey man, It all comes down to a good diet plan. I followed the P90X diet plan for awhile and now I am doing the Body Beast body building program to gain as well. The program changes your macro up every month so right now I am eat 40% protein, 30% carbs and 30% fats. Over all you really just want to eat clean and eat often.…

Hey Jfearn64. No I am in the Beast Phase of the diet. It is 40% protein, 30% carbs, 30% fat. I have found that with every change in the diet phases it has taken me awhile to really nail it down. Like I would just get use to not eating that much carbs and then you switch and go into the bulk phase so you start packing on…

Did Beast Cardio this morning, hitting 540 calories burned. Today is Graduation Day for me for Body Beast! Love, love this program. Going to start in a day or two a Body Beast hybrid and alternate between the weightlifting of Body Beast and some type of cardio workout. Happy Birthday to Shawn. I have said before that the…

You can buy the Calipers at any GNC store, I did, it was about 12$. I too use the site www.linear-software.com. Make sure you view their How-to videos, they are great. It is important to make sure you take your measurements in the same place every time. The videos again will show you how. Best to take your measurements…

Well I am in my final week of the Beast and I did Bulk Legs yesterday and I am feeling it today too! Nothing bad, just enough that I feel it in my legs and butt when I go to sit down. Remember... No Pain - No Gain.
-
Body Beast - Block 3 - Bulk Legs and Ab Ripper X done early this morning. ( I usually do early morning 4:30 workouts so I will not be listing water and food intake for the day here ) Bulk Legs is a killer workout, basically a cardio workout with weights added on!! Burned 723 calories. Workout A+ - Shawn, Excellent workout…

Hello fellow Beasts... my name is Paul and I am 42. I have done a few rounds of P90X and took on Insanity this past spring to help lower my weight and bf%. Started Insanity at 225lbs and around 16% bf. At the end of Insanity I was 200lbs and around 10-11% bf. As much as I love ( no really hated Insanity, LOL) I so missed…

I use pumpkin seeds alot. They are even better then almonds. 1/4 cup is 300 cals, 23g of fat, only 4g of carbs and a big 18g of protein.

If you go to this website it has detailed instructions on how to take your b/f measurements with the Calipers and even has short movie clips showing how to take each body part measurement. I found it very helpful. http://www.linear-software.com/online.html

I have done a few DVD workouts and not to scare you but just like the info. commercial says, Insanity is the hardest workout out there!! I describe it as it breaks you down and then builds you back up. As long as you commit yourself and stay discipline you will do fine. Don't worry about keeping pace with those in the DVD…

Take your b/f measurements a few times and take the average. Also take it first thing in the morning.

I went through the exact same thing doing Insanity. I tried all kinds of shoes and asked for help too. I came to the conclusion that it was probably caused by my flooring I was exercising on. I am on a carpeted cement floor so there is not any give when doing all that jumping. I started using 2 yoga mats and that helped a…

I agree with katemarcus. I would do c25k first. And with both I would follow the program all the way through, don't break it up and do one one day and one the other day. C25k is a nice and progressive program... Insanity is NOT! Good luck on the 5K!
