Great news! I had one of mine replaced 4 years ago. The first few months of recovery are hard but the end result is so worth it. Good luck to you!!!

Cheese cake that a co worker brought in, that I normally wouldn't miss for the world.

I've had one knee replacement and will need the other one replaced. Go easy but keep going. Lots of ice and heat. Castor oil packs help reduce the inflamation as well. Get to physio if you can. A knee brace can help. Doing nothing will only make things worse. Use it or loose it. My knees are worse if I don't work out.

two cups baby spinach, one half cup sliced fresh mushrooms, top with a bit of shredded cheese and some low fat salad dressing on the side. I usually slice half a red pepper to eat with it. It's really good.

Kale stir fried in a tiny bit of olive oil, with fresh mushrooms, onions and shrimp. Yummy and low cal. Or my favorite lunchtime salad of babyspinach and sliced fresh mushrooms with a side of sliced red pepper...delish.

I had a total knee replacement and need another one done so I understand about trying to exercise while in pain. A recumbent bike worked well for me as did water exercises. Don't give up. You just have to be creative.

Hi! I had to reply to you...My name is Joanne as well and I'm also 48 years old with 3 kids....19, 8 and 6. I've always had a weight problem. Had my stomach stapled, you name it. Had a knee replacement 3 hyears ago and my weight has crept back up. I would like to lose between 60 - 70 lbs. So since we seem to have so much…
