Thanks for sharing! So inspirational. I like that he put his blog up for all to see to make him accountable. I recently changed my food diary to public for the same reason. Hopefully my friends will call me out when they see me eating crappy. I also feel more obligated to log everything so nobody thinks I'm trying to hide…

Turkey bacon has tons of sodium as well! I do everything in moderation so when I do have bacon I go with the pork. I believe David Zinczenko from Eat this Not that recommends pork over turkey as well....you can get center cut and low sodium pork bacon to cut out some of the junk.

I'd do it under "Calisthenics (pushups, sit-ups), vigorous effort". Put in that you did it for 20 minutes. Hope this helps and good job!

For my quickest, easiest idea I usually have eggs and rice. I use the Minute single serving brown rice. It's the little microwaveable cups. They take 60 seconds to heat up. Meanwhile I scramble 1 whole egg and 2 egg whites. Add it to the rice with a little soy sauce, green onions, cilantro and pepper. If you want it even…

Tried it once, when I stopped my head hurt nonstop for awhile (I think I was going through caffeine withdrawls). Figured out it was better for me to just go about it the old fashion way...eat right and exercise. Overall, I felt like it was a waste of $$$. Everyone is different though. Maybe it'll work for you.

I think your mile times are awesome! You're never too old...look at Jake LaLane! Keep up the great work!

I'm only lifiting 45lbs, but you can start slow by using 15 or 10lb dumb bells. Even if that feels too hard, use PVC piping or a broomstick. There's so many ways to make ANY workout doable for whatever your fitness level is. Then you just slowly work your way up from there! Good luck on your weight loss journey! P.S Guys…

Wow...that is pretty intricate! I do log my workouts, but alas, only on a measly journal and with a pen...LOL I am thinking about upping my calories though. Am I seeing right, you are on a 1300 calorie day? I am on a 1200 but am thinking to up it to 1400...Here's a quick breakdown of my workouts this past 2 weeks (not as…

Good for you! You can do it! Revenge is sweet. LOL

I just moved to LA, but I'm near New Orleans. I don't know about your area but it rains here NONSTOP! Ughhhh!!! I don't know what I would do without a treadmill! Good luck on your journey! Christy

I have the newest FoodSaver out now and it's awesome! I LOVE it! I make homemade pastas, sauces, and soups, freeze them into individual portion sizes and bust them out whenever the need arises! My son uses it to reseal chips and pretzel bags. I also have the containers and they increase the lifespan of fruits and veggies…

Wow! 9 1/2 inches off your waist! That's incredible! It's great to see that you've stuck with it this whole time and lost the weight the RIGHT way! You're a great inspiration! Great job! Enjoy your success!

Has anyone swapped on here since the post started? I was thinking if we had all the pics on one central location it'd be alot easier to look at everything instead of just a brief description with words. My site is just about done, if anyone is interested I can PM them the address...check it out and let me know if it's…

I came up with a great idea and plan. With everyone's input from the replies I built a website for all of us who want to swap clothes! The only issue I am coming across is shipping and payment. This is what I came up with: 1. Everyone interested in swapping, send me your items (via flat rate box) 2. I take pictures,…

Great ideas...I'm trying to work on something too. Will keep you all posted!

Those McCormick packet thingys and alot of the premade spice mixes (cajun, greek spices, etc) have alot of salt in them too. Any of those boxed meals (you know...add the chicken and voila! it's dinner) have tons of sodium. I try to make all my things from scratch on the weekends and have them ready to go during the week.…

Yeah! That's great. When I get my new house in June I am moving all my stuff to my 4th bedroom too! My must haves are definitely dumbbells, treadmill (I'm a runner, though), and pull up bar (Iron gym has one that goes over the door jam). I am looking into getting that tower 200 Randy Couture thingy though. Supposedly you…

I LOVE CrossFit! I used to have my own CrossFit Gym. I use a HRM and added CrossFIt as an exercise. That's the best way to do it because the WODs are always different. Good Luck!

Congrats on your weight loss and inches loss! What about Kohls? I know they open super early sometimes...maybe you can get it done before 9AM!

Being in Hawaii, everyone that visits me is on another time zone (we are 6 hours behind the east coast), so I get my workout in after they go to sleep or before they wake up. Maybe that'll work for you too! Also, instead of frozen pizzas we make homemade pizzas. Everyone can make one the way they like it and they've all…

My husband just uses the "chinese green tea". He takes it for about 2 days in a row. Make sure you have no where to be for the 2 days though! It'll totally clean you out, but he says he feels so much better afterward. Good luck!

That's GREAT!! I LOVE it!!!

I'll be 34 in May...my profile pic is from this year (age 33) with my son...I plan on wearing a bikini when I am 35 and beyond.

I used to do 1200 calories a day but I felt like I was always hungry. I ended up getting a HRM for christmas and wore it during the day while I was just sitting on the couch, doing dishes, you know the daily stuff. Well, I learned that my body needs 2000 a day just to live (that was without any working out!). So I upped my…

I replace the meat in my burgers with portabello mushrooms. I know there are a few recipes out there that use mushrooms instead of meat. To me it tastes just as good, but I like meat, so that's one of the only suggestions I got. Sorry. :ohwell:

Diet is a big key also! My kid is 13 years old and I STILL feel like I have the pooch...not sure if it'll ever go away. LOL...

During your road trips can you pack a cooler full of fruit, sandwiches, water, etc? Maybe if you stop for food (fast food) you can hit up Subway or something. I wouldn't worry too much during the bed & breakfast days....it's your vacation! It's only 3 days too. Try to keep things in control on the other days and maybe…

Great idea! I'll use that one! Thanks!

I myself don't need the fancy programmable type ones so I just have a Polar F4. This one works great. My husband has it too and it won't interfere with each other when we are running together. At the end of the week it gives you your weekly stats (calories burned, time at high intensity, med. and low), and you can…
