  • Today was plain oatmeal with peanut butter and slivered almonds, and 3 egg whites (separately - not in my oatmeal, haha) Hotel life. Breakfast options were good - gym is terrible. Not even 1 dumbbell!
  • Lots of great advice here! Another of my favorites is PF Chang's. You can order your meat 'stock velveted' which means they essentially steam it in broth rather than stir fry in cornstarch, then ask for the sauce on the side. I always order spicy chicken - a small amount of sauce packs a flavor punch and the calories are…
  • Yes, I have the product. I understand what it is. That's how coaches make money (which I said), but that has nothing to do with the OP's question. He can buy the program for $60 (or whatever it is today) and he wouldn't be a part of any sort of pyramid scheme. That's why I said there's no reason to be dramatic about it.…

  • The 21 Day fix is not a multilevel / pyramid scheme. Don't be dramatic. The 21 Day Fix is a exercise and calorie controlled nutrition plan. YES, if you signed up to be a coach for Beachbody, then it is a multilevel sales organization, but you don't have to do that. You could go on beachbody.com right now and order the…

  • Yes, similar to circuit training with Jillian. I have a few of her DVDs. I like Autumn's style / demeanor a little better but it's just a personal preference. They are fairly similar. :)
  • Gracious, if you don't get it or think it's a waste of $$, why post? Especially when you're trying to point out the flaws in a program you don't know. So odd. Why not just be happy that some people are finding a way towards health that works for them. I have 21 day fix. I've played around with it a few times. I officially…
  • I certainly don't advocate under-eating, and think very few people need to eat 1200 calories/day, but I think the article in the link forgot to mention that they eat 15-20,000 calories a DAY as well. I don't think delaying breakfast until 11am is what made them fat.
  • You're incorrect. It is marketed as a meal replacement shake OR you can choose to use it as a snack. If you google 'shakeology' you'll see a link to the website. The name of the link? 'Shakeology - The healthiest Meal Replacement Shake'. If you're not dropping weight but you are dropping sizes, then you must be lifting…
  • I make 'chips' using whole wheat pita bread in the toaster oven sometimes. Spritz with olive oil, sprinkle with sea salt, then bake till crunchy. I eat it with carrots. I eat it on my grilled chicken sandwiches instead of the mayo I used to use.
  • Thank goodness! I was afraid I was the first person to include alcohol in my top 10!
  • Here are mine - #4 makes me laugh... And I often eat a salad of raw spinach, crumbled goat cheese, raspberries, and that dressing, so that's the reason for 1/2 the list! Banana Oil - Olive Blueberries - Raw White Wine - Sauvignon Blanc Panera Bread - Raspberry Vinaigrette Fat-Free Salad Dressing Generic - Hardboiled Egg…
  • That's exactly what I have. I don't care about # of stairs climbed or tracking my sleep, so the FitBit Zip was perfect for my needs. Clip it on my bra each morning. Love the combo! :)
  • How did you do with Chalean Extreme? I did Round 1 of T25 Alpha / Beta, but didn't do Gamma. Life got in the way, but I'm back on the wagon and doing my own personal little '90 day challenge' before an event I have in February. My plan is to do a T25 / Chalean hybrid this time around - I just started yesterday, so tonight…

  • Like most others, portion size, when I started measuring, was my biggest eye opener. Especially: peanut butter, cereal and pasta. I could easily eat at least 3/4 a box of Velveeta Shells & Cheese. Granted, I have them about 2x a year, but still! Ironically I found that I also underestimated sometimes. I would say I had a…
  • Gosh I *LOVE* my Fitbit. Seriously! :) I just went to MFP and under goals saw that it said that I should burn approximately 1990 calories/day, which it used to calculate that I should lose 1 pound/week. So I went to my fitbit dashboard, and changed it to a goal of burning 1990 calories a day/too. Now they are perfectly in…
  • I'm pretty close. I'm 5'6.5". I started MFP at 193, I'm currently at 187. I'm also 34. I have mine set at 'lightly active.' (My job is either very sedentary, or lightly active, depending on my travel/event schedule. I'm following T25, so I work out at least 25 minutes, 6 days a week (50 minutes at least 1 day). That's…
  • The bride shouldn't have ordered the dress, but she also shouldn't fix it. The bridesmaid should fix the problem, it's HER dress. Brides have enough to do without ordering dresses for bridesdmaids, and then figuring out how to exchange it.
  • Is this tradition outside of the USA? I've been in 8 weddings as a bridesmaid, and I've always had to pay for the dress, and never got to pick the style (although there were a couple where the bride picked a collection, which gave us the option to pick one of 4 or so that we thought was most flattering). The bridal salon…
  • I usually have one meal a week that I don't worry too much about. I definitely am 'in the red' here on MFP, but I'm usually under for the week, so it's not really a 'cheat.' I usually do it Saturday for lunch, since my official weigh in time is Saturday morning. It would be the time I'd choose the pizza or cheeseburger and…
  • The macros are a bit subjective - people often change those up from MFP, usually because they want more protein than what MFP sets your goal to. But your calories aren't THAT different. I would first make sure you have MFP set to lose .5 a week (which is what that TDEE calculation is for). But if your TDEE is 1686, that…
  • Some of my go-to filling breakfasts: - A slice of 100% whole wheat toast with a tablespoon of natural crunchy peanut butter and a sliced banana - Sliced hardboiled egg and 1/4 of an avocado on whole wheat toast - Starbucks perfect oatmeal with the 100 calorie package of mixed nuts, a sprinkle of cinnamon and sliced up…
  • Who is 'everybody?' I'm sure lots of people eat those things for breakfast. I pretty much don't ever. Not because I think they are terrible, but because I don't feel like making stuff like that. I save them for 'heavy' breakfasts. I eat things like greek yogurt, hardboiled eggs, my own 'egg mcmuffin' or toast with peanut…
  • I do the same. I use my HRM to be more exact with my calorie burn when doing specific cardio. But what I used to find was that I was too sedentary most of the day, so even with specific cardio, I wasn't burning as many calories in a 24 hour period that I thought I was. So now I use my FitBit to motivate myself to get up…
  • Great job! I only completed the first month of Insanity - month 2 workouts were too long and I got burned out. But I'm starting Beta of T25 tomorrow and definitely going to finish this one! I saw good results after phase 1 - hope mine are as significant as yours after I finish! :)
  • Starting Beta tomorrow!
    in T25 Comment by KAS0917 August 2013
  • I did 1 month of Insanity (but not the 2nd) and I just wrapped up the first phase of T25. For me, I didn't lose weight on Insanity, but I did lose 6 pounds on T25 Alpha. It's not so much about the workout, but about burning more calories than you eat. When I did Insanity I wasn't tracking my calories. Now I am, and the…
  • After 4 weeks, I was down 6 pounds. I'm on week 5 - last week of Alpha. I'm still really enjoying this program, although if I never heard 'alternating knee lifts' I'd be happier. Looking forward to Beta and some of the strength stuff. (and for the record, I see my typo on page one - I really do know how to add. But I can't…
  • Yes this. I did Insanity before T25. (pretty much the first time I ever did an at home tape). I made it through month 1 (barely) but quit in the first week of month 2. Just too much for me. But I LOVE T25. I'm on my last week of Alpha (week 5). I actually look forward to getting those 25 minutes in right when I wake up,…
