I don't share custody but my teen comes back a different animal. It takes him three weeks to return to normal. We have a very scheduled life, dinner times, bed time are set. He does better on a schedule. His eating habits there are not consistent, and yes his dad buys him all kinds of things now. My advise is ignore it,…

Just came back from vacation. I saw on stay for dinner that she starts with a salad, I did that a lot and it helped slow me down, and get in veggies on the road. Just know you are going to eat but do a lot of fun exercise, like fun shopping walking. I ate a lot but only gained a couple of pounds. I swam a lot, and walked…

A couple of things has finally helped me. I was uncomfortable with attention that I had lost weight. I had to be in a safe place to know that I would be okay if I lost all my weight and kept it off, it is a mental huge step. I have tried to deal with it before, but until now it did not work. I have said it a thousand…

Once a week or two I drink a glass of wine. I am as I type sipping a Cosmo Martini. Life is short and I know that my calories are important but so is enjoying a relaxing glass of wine!

I boil eggs once a week and each morning I cut into the egg throw the yolk out and love the egg white. I also eat a 90 calorie Special K honey nut bar too. They are both tasty and fast.

Don't lie to yourself. face the ugliness of what you weigh, face what you eat and log every bite. It is the only way to actually move forward.

I am 5'6" my goal weight is 135. My highest was 207 but now I down about 33 lbs from that weight. I still have 40 to go, your body will change as soon as you start working out. I do cardio and weight training.

Absolutely Amazing. The attitude the happiness and the serenity comes shining through as the weight seems to fall off of you. Wonderful Job!

I do fajitas without the sides or tortillas. Sometimes I am able to find Vegetarian Fajitas, but chicken, fish or shrimp will do!

I am an elliptical fanatic! I do twenty minutes 3 times a week along with weight circuit trainer then I walk another 3 days a week. My first time on the elliptical I went two minutes and my heart rate went to 154. I am over 50, thought I was going to have a heart attack right there. Now I keep my heart rate between…

Take fish oil daily. I take 1400 mg but you could do 1000 mg. Eat Wild salmon once a week. Substitute most fat content to olive, avocado and the like, limit processed foods, up your veggie and fruit intake. In other words do what every MD recommends and it will come down some.

RICE and go to the Dr. You could have an injury that needs some intervention.

We eat out every week. I try to do a pre look at the menu for nutritional value. It always help me narrow down my choices, some foods have "hidden" calories I would not know. If I don't I am always way over. Planning helps me.

Logging has been my key to losing. Before MFP I was getting healthy but not realistic on my intake of calories. Welcome, it is okay here I promise!
-
My DR and PT told me never again to do stairs or stair master. I have bad knees.

I am 53 and have 46 more lbs to lose. It is reality of our generation!
-
I am over fifty and need to lose 46 more. Friend me and you can see my diary. I plan our meals on Saturdays, shop once a week and eat out once a week. As well as a drink or two, my point being is you can do it. You need family support, if not just do it for yourself. Trust me I waited until 51 for family support, do not…

I work in healthcare, a physical therapist told me the elliptical burns more fat than a treadmill. If I did not have a gym I would buy one without a doubt.
-
See a Dr. I know it is not fun to do it but they can help you figure out exactly what is wrong!

Dr Oz allows for frozen sweet potato fries, I buy them and bake them. As always I watch the sodium on the brand to try and get the lowest number.
-
I have drank a beer and counted the calories, I had a salad that day at lunch. I drink each week a cosmo, or you can do cranberry and malibu rum. Just count the calories and celebrate your day!
-
Pick one thing on your processed food list that you substitute with either fruit or a vegetable, the weight will fall off more quickly once sodium is lowered.
-
I would buy an elipitical, it is shear fat burning, cardio for me.

I work with several doctors, none of them say it is safe long term. The reason being there is no long term research, one in particular told me to do many things but never HCG.

So with the body an fuel burning engine a calorie is a calorie. I can lose weight quickly when I follow the rules...at first. What I normally don't do is make a life change, the other thing I did not do is try to eat "healthy calories" vs processed food. There is a limit to how many things I will cut out, it is a life…

Holy Moly Frijole! You look amazing, don't stop now!

Congrats! What a great accomplishment!

okay I truly understand. Father was that and mom is bipolar. Ahhh family dynamics. You are not them, you are yourself with a whole life ahead of you with choices each and every day. I will not lie and say the journey is easy, but I will say you can survive. Matter of fact I think you will learn much more about yourself…
