  • I'm in! I need the motivation to increase my water intake and my husband always snacks after 8. It is so hard not to when he does!
  • You are doing great! Keep it up! Every little success feels wonderful doesn't it? They all add up to one amazing accomplishment!
  • I've never had the surgery but my sister did. She would get very sick if she drank with her meals. Also if she ate more than the ounce or so they tell you ate one time she would get sick.
  • I great way to jump start your metabolism is to switch up your exercise routine. You don't have to exercise harder or longer, just work different muscles than you already have been. Careful on limiting your calories too much. That can be counterproductive.
  • Congrats everyone! I'm 30 weeks today. 10 to go! This pregnancy has gone by so fast!
  • I felt the sexual overtones in most of the commercials were way to strong. Last time I checked watching the Super Bowl was a family activity. I had to ask my kids to leave every time the commercials came on. Won't be watching next year...
  • I've been using babyfit.com and also http://www.indiacurry.com/women/pregcalc.htm has helped me to gauge where I am. Right now I'm about 3 pounds heavier than I should be at this point in my pregnancy, but considering I made it through the holidays and a few birthdays I'm ok with that. Congrats!
  • Just a thought....My prenatal vitamins made me really sick so my doctor switched me to chewables. For some reason they don't make me sick at all!
  • I did it! I started May of last year and was able to complete a 5k in July. I was slow but I ran the whole thing. Before that I hadn't run in about 10 years and was approximately 50 lbs overweight. One thing to think about is running outside is much more difficult than running on a treadmill, so make sure you run outside…
  • Thanks for replying! I love your little sticker thingy at the bottom of your post!
  • Hello Everyone! Its been a while since I've been on. I'm now going on 22 weeks pregnant. In the beginning I was doing great as far as keeping my weight gain steady. Christmas killed that for me though. I'm about 5 lbs heavier than I should be at this point. I know that doesn't sound like much, but I can't allow myself to…
  • I'm guessing if your BMI is only 22 you should focus more on toning. By toning you could look and feel better with out actually losing any weight. I'm not an expert but your BMI is well within a healthy range.
  • At least you are very aware of yourself and only you can decided whether you want to slip back into the get fat routine or not. You are aware of how to change. One week is nothing, you deserve to enjoy your honeymoon now get right back to where you were before!
  • anything quick and easy. If it is accessible I just can't stop until it is gone.
  • bumpin'
  • I absolutely agree with this. I was upset to see how quickly this thread was jumped on when other less tasteful ones get pages and pages of posts. Sure, debating religion and politics can be controversial but my personal opinion: If a post offends you, close out without commenting and eventually it gets to the bottom of…
  • I've heard alot about babyfit.com. I'd try there and consult your doctor whenever you feel the need. Some Docs aren't good about taking time to answer questions, but that's their job isn't it? Make 'em do it.
  • First I want to say "Yeah MFPers!" We're on page four of a political thread and there has been no nastiness! :flowerforyou: I'm voting McCain. I don't agree with all of his ideas, but he more closely represents my values. It doesn't really matter which party is a part of. I want to vote for some one to represent ME. Out of…
  • My high school mascot was a pinto (the bean). After so many years of being teased we changed it to a pinto (the horse). We still have a huge pinto bean festival every year. Not once have I gone to the parade without hearing: beans, beans, the musical fruit...
  • That is my favorite, favorite book! My son used to ask me to read it to him over and over. I think it helped him understand that sometimes I get mad, but I will never ever stop loving him.
  • My only sunshine, You make me happy When skies are grey! You'll never know, dear, How much I love you. Please don't take my Sunshine away. Thanks MFP! ( :glasses: I'll be here all week)
  • I eat peanut butter and jelly EVERY day. I've been trying to cut down, but I need them (in an emotionally attached to the pleasure they give my tongue sorta way). I had my lunch planned for the day. Some nice healthy stir-fry, but as I made my sons sandwich I just couldn't help myself! I ate it and maybe I'll be good and…
  • you might want to go to babyfit.com. They might have better info for you.

  • I so want to go! My husband and I want to go on one sometime next year. Get me details and I'm in!
  • what if I wanna?
  • My mom always told me not to compare myself to others because we tend to compare our worst (we see it everyday) to everyone else's best (how they are outside of home on their best behavior). It makes sense, but isn't always easy.
  • So jealous! Did my first race a few weeks ago and finished in 36 minutes. :grumble:
  • Aww, so sweet! Happy Anniversary guys! :flowerforyou:
  • I was on it for 6 mo when I was first married (10 yrs ago). I don't remember mood swings, but my husband told me I was really bad. He's been against me being on any pill since then. So I haven't been on one since. Don't know if it was newlywed stuff or the pill. Cleared my skin though.
