This was a well timed thread for me. I'm always fighting this issues, but it has resurged stronger than ever this week.

Same here. You are not alone!

I'm in the same boat! I let myself indulge fully in emotional eating while in a high stress situation, and I'm now paying the consequences. It had made my sugar addiction much worse, and of course I gained all my lost weight back. I'm taking this one day at a time, and sometimes even minute by minute. I'd love to add…

I hear you! I had lost 40 lbs and gained back over 25. *Sigh* It seems like a lot of back sliding, but we can do this! It is really a good reminder that this is a process, and the steps don't always go directly from A to B. You've got this!!

Change is hard. You've just completed something you have been doing your entire life! (Congratulations!!) I know my first few months after graduation threw off all my good habits, as I tries to settle into a new pattern. Allow yourself that month to acclimate, and now plan how you'd like to see yourself. What activities do…

I tell myself I have 50 to lose, but it is really closer to 100. I'd love to add friends on the same road!

I just finished Day 1. Whew! I could use a few other Insane buddies as well. Looking forward to seeing progress (mine and other's) through this!

I just did Day 1 of Insanity. That was intense... and it was only the fit test! Whew! This will be an interesting ride!

I'm interested in the advice others will give you. I'll get the most often given one out of the way for them... Drink as much water as you can before, during and after meals! :)

I haven't personally gone through the battle, but many people close to me have. While I can't offer advice, I just wanted to say YOU ROCK, and are an inspiration. :)

Ok, I was on the start of week 4 and totally fell off the wagon for almost 2 weeks due to migraines, but I started back up again last week (only had to backtrack for one run) and I just did week 5 day 1! I am so proud of myself!!!

I thought I was doing 2 and 3 min intervals... then reread the intro and realized I've been doing 3 and 5 min intervals! Woohooo! I think I might die while doing it, but i'm super proud of myself!!! Ya me!

Single too, out in sunny California! Edited to add: I love the 3 main responses. 1. Single! Wooohooo! 2. Single.. No biggie. 3. Single... ...Crap...

Go get new pants! They wont be loose and you'll feel awesome. If he still doesn't like it... that's a whole 'nother issue.

Holy Mother of Pearl....... Level 2 was more intense than I had anticipated. But I did half 'hard' and half 'modified' workouts, so I'm pretty proud! I'm looking forward to it seeming easier in 5 more days (like level 1 started hard and got easier). I'm really glad I decided to give 30DS a try!!

OMG!! Week 3 day 1 scared me.. But I just ran for 3 minutes straight! TWICE! I haven't been able to do that since i was 14! Wooooohoooooo! I just had to share. :)

My Aunt would do the same thing. After a little talk with my mom (because she's awesome like this) my aunt realized she was using then 'unsupervised time' as an excuse to eat poorly/what she wanted. Maybe time to take a look at your goals, what you want for yourself, and if it's worth it for you to be accountable for…

I have the same issue. Stuff goes bad too fast if my schedule changes and I don't eat at home like I thought I was going to. I made PB&J on wheat (one slice folded in half). Wrap in cling wrap and then a ziplock bag and it freezes perfectly. Just grab in the AM and it's defrosted when it's time to eat. I freeze corn (on…

I had a similar issue when I started C25K. Holy moley does it wear you out! I gave myself a day of rest in-between the first two days of C25K then started up lightly again on my off days after that (Monday C25K, Tuesday no exercise, Wednesday C25K, Thursday no exercise, Friday C25K, Saturday make my self exercise). I also…

Oh, and I went from half an easy push up the first day (yikes) to 4 easy ones today! Yaaaaa!
-
I almost didn't do it today because my friends left so late, I just wanted to go to bed. But I had done 6 days in a row and didn't want to break that so I stayed up late to do it. ..now I'm awake and can't go to sleep. Lol! Oh well, at least I got my 30DS in!

I'm about 5'6" and started at about your weight and my goal weight is about yours as well. Feel free to add me! I try and think of it as one week at a time, and go from there. Thinking of the overall goal is just too dis-heartening for me. You can do it! Baby steps!

Blindside is harder at first, but doesn't prolong the emotional turmoil like the off and on and off and on... (based on personal experience with both...)

Bump, for the fiber fans :)

I can understand the hazy area the gym will have to deal with once members lose weight and become 'skinny', but I also understand the idea behind this in the first place. Both friends and family (including myself) have run into the bad attitudes of insensitive people at the gym towards overweight people (granted, not the…
