  • I just joined a center. I was doing take shape for life before.
  • The ravioli was good! But I definitely ate it all and still felt hungry. The meatloaf sandwich was awesome. Now, on to trying the stuff shells tomorrow night. Any ideas on how to bulk that meal up? The chicken parm with spaghetti was too tiny for me. It was like 4 bites.

  • I had this two nights ago. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I just thought it was okay. It was more nutty than I thought it'd be. I'm not really that much a chocolate person. All I want to eat are those frozen hot pretzels!
  • Are you losing without counting your condiments? If you are, I wouldn't sweat it. (This obviously isn't official Medifast advice. Just telling you what I'd do.) If you notice you're not losing, then you have to be strict, limit yourself to 3 condiments/day, and eat boring food. :)
  • I've only tried the garlic mashed potatoes and I can say they're good and disgusting at the same time. The first bite is good, the second bite is disgusting. I'm eating them slowly. Glad to try them for the variety but also glad I didn't buy a whole box. I'm pleasantly surprised they're salty enough. I expected them to be…
  • 2 pounds in 6 days isn't bad. I'm losing about 2 lbs/week or less. The last time I did medifast (2 yrs ago), the weight came off quicker and I can't figure out why or what I'm doing differently now. But I'm just chugging along, hoping it still continues to come off at 1-2 lbs/wk. All you can do is make sure you're…
  • Other than the videos, do you need to buy any equipment? Like dumbbells or resistance bands? Just curious what the total monetary investment is. Also, how much room do you need to do the workout? I live in a small apartment.
  • Whoa! Never experienced any of these side effects! When I first started, I noticed that I had to pee a lot (a lot!) and was very thirsty but that subsided in the first week. I was also spacey for a few days. Once I got through my first 7 days, I picked up a rhythm and it got easier (although never easy). Medifast is hard…

  • The medifast chili is the most disgusting thing I've ever put in my mouth. But my sister loves it so who knows? I also can't stand the chicken noodle soup. The dutch chocolate shake is good. I add hot water to the mac and cheese and let it sit for about 30 min. I especially do this when I'm hungry bc it makes meal time…
  • I have a tip for mac n cheese prep! At work, we have a hot/cold water dispenser. About 30 min before my meal time, I add ~1/2 cup of hot water to my tupperware, add the mac n cheese, mix well, and let soak for a long time (up to 30 min). Then I nuke for 90 seconds, stir, wait a little (like 20 seconds), nuke again for 60…
  • I have a new favorite lean & green that I love so much, I had to share: zucchini "noodles" and meat sauce. I didn't strictly measure this one out for 100% compliance with 3 greens/1 lean/3 condiments but I think it's pretty close to being legal. 1. Zucchini and/or yellow squash noodles: I used my mandolin to juliene the…
  • I exercise a lot and always have (45 min spinning classes and 4 mile runs several times a week) and regardless of what people say, I don't think walking is killing your weight loss plan. Your carbs do seem low. I measure all my greens and have a difficult time getting my carbs below 85 g/day. Yesterday, my carbs were 86 g.…
  • ME TOO! I like all kinds of food and I like to eat lots of it! All the time. When I'm not hungry. I just like to taste. And chew.
  • Do you find the drinks to be filling? I feel like it's a waste of a "meal" so I'm hesitant to try them. Even the puddings feel like a waste because there's no real chewing.
  • Thanks. So you roast at like 350? For like 30 min? Would you cut a bell pepper in half or in 1/4s? Just trying to figure out why my veggies are not good and everyone else's are. I swear, I actually can cook! But I need remedial instructions for roasted veggies! I may be overthinking this.
  • I "cook" most stuff per the label. My mac and cheese did boil over once and made a mess. And yes, someone asked me what the heck I was eating. I told him it was easy mac and now (not so) secretly hate him for asking. Use deeper/bigger bowls to avoid spill over. When I used to eat the veggie sloppy joe, I would add the…
  • I can't have one favorite meal. I'll get sick of it. I like the dutch choc shake or french vanilla shake for breakfast. I mix it with coffee and serve over ice. I like the mint choc crunch bar, choc crunch bar, and pb crunch bar (in that order usually but it changes). I really like the mac and cheese but find it tastes…
  • Good topic. The cauliflower pizza and some other recipes are just way too complicated for me. I like easy. My favorites are: - Shrimp tacos - Shrimp with homemade taco seasoning (cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, lime juice - I make it up and to be honest, don't count my spice condiments) served over raw shredded green…
  • Where do I begin? - Cheese, cheese, cheese! Seriously, it calls to me from the fridge - Peanut butter - Pistachios, cashews - Crackers, pretzels, anything snacky - Pasta. I can control this one pretty well but if I were to cook an entire box of pasta, I'd eat the entire box of pasta. - Rice - Potatoes Stuff like cookies,…
  • I turn mine off when the work out is over. Any additional calories burned during cool down/stretching will be extra. I like to be conservative. Also, my HRM (it's a Garmin) measures my average HR and also my pace when I'm running outdoors so I want those calculations to be about my work out and not my cool down.
  • I have not noticed this "side effect". Have you changed your activity level? Perhaps if you're working out in the afternoon/evening, it's keep you up?
  • I think I love the mac and cheese. Yea, it tastes like Easy Mac. You know what I love? Easy Mac. I don't need to doctor it up at all. But if I want to, I add red pepper flakes or garlic powder.
  • My biggest "trick" to running without breaking pace is to sloooooowwwww down. When I first started running, I'd run so slow. Seriously, like a tiny bit faster than walking pace. If I stop to walk, I find it very difficult to start running again.
  • How has the 4-2 plan been going?
  • The last bathroom scale I had varied by 2 lbs within 5 minutes. I never felt like I could believe what it said. 2 pounds is a big variance! I had been using a physician's scale for a while and it so reliable. I've never been able to trust bathroom scales.
  • Maybe you should not be friends with him on MFP. If it's messing with your head, just eliminate seeing his MFP activity.
  • I log it as the closest pace to what I'm running and I enter my own calories. I wear a Garmin HRM so it measures my pace, time, distance, and calories burned. (I am completely in love with my Garmin.)
  • Omg, hilarious! Me too!
  • Saucony Fastwitch. They feel like pillows.
