The day before I was born in 1973, Skylab was launched by NASA. (The first space station) On the day I was born, California Angel Nolan Ryan's 1st no-hitter beats KC Royals 3-0 . I was born on May 15th. I wish I were born 1 day earlier. O well. eriktice

Believe it or not, I just finished Never Let Me Go. I was in three parts. The first part was the time spent in Hailshame, the second part was the cottages and the final part was being a carer and/or donor. It was an interesting book but it took a long time to get through the first part. The final two parts I finished in a…

Never Let Me Go sounds interesting to me. Sounds like a suspense thriller. On the other hand, I don't know if I'll read Dreamland.

I also liked this book. I actually felt as though the back-story was enough but it may be put in a strange order throughout the book.

Christmas Shoes is a good book based on the song by NewSong, Like the song, it is has a bittersweet side and a good side. I recommend it but it is not necessarily everyone's cup of tea.

Marisa is ready for her sophomore year to be different. After waiting for so long for the perfect person to come along and for the rest of her life to start, Marisa is tired of waiting. This is going to be her year. It has to be. When cute, popular Derek asks Marisa out, it seems like her waiting really is over. But it…

I may read Waiting For You. I'm skipping Speak as I couldn't find it and usually YA fiction doesn't normally interest me. I'll definitely find time to read the Christmas Wedding and Christmas Shoes.

Just finished reading this one. It's a thriller so I may be giving away spoilers. I hope not but just to be sure SPOILER ALERT. I'm first to lead with the cover blurb from the Kevin O' Brien wewbsite: The houses on Willow Tree Court are sleek and modern—the kind designed to harbor happy families and laughing children. No…

Anything by Allen Steele. I also have read and am still reading Asimov, Heinlein, John Twelve Hawks' Traveler Series and similar authors. Also your Star Trek and Star Wars books.

Abby Sciuto from NCIS or I suppose Alanna Strange. But Alanna Strange has only appeared in older DC comics. I also have a thing for 7 of 9 from Voyager.

Well, I just finished my copy of The Lucky One. I agree it's another feel good book by Nicholas Sparks although it does have its moments of bitter sweetness. I'll be skipping the next book as I can't find it ...

Congrats to you! I have a nephew named Evan Alexander. I like Erik myself. But I guess I should ... It's my name!

I've been pronouncing it TEE BAULT. The ex husband pronounces it THIGH BAULT.

Small correction: The Americans brother (Mike Ridley) was actually being held prisoner in the Rudrokot Prison Center approximately 2 miles from Chetak's tomb due to possible involvement in Indian terrorism to cause independence from Great Britain. We also find out the American (Sam Hawthorne) has spent time in Burma and is…

I like many different authors. Primarily science fiction and historical books. Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Sherlock Holmes, anything by John Twelve Hawks (the Traveler series). I am also interested in DC Comics books, especially Superman, Green Lantern and Adam Strange. Adam Strange is a DC character who gets beamed…

Will start it sometime next week as I'm still reading the Splendor of Silence.

I am currently on Chapter 17. It's actually quite an interesting read so far. I like how they showed the difference between the Indian servants and the British. It has a piece of the independence movement of India and a love story between an Indian woman who is engaged to the prince of their little kingdom (Rudrokat)…

My profile picture is of Adam Strange, a DC Comics character from 1958 (Showcase 17) to just before Flashpoint. He zeta beams between the southern hemisphere of Earth and Ranager. He wears a jet pack and defends the people of Rann (largest city on Rann.) He is married to Alanna Strange and has a daughter named Aleea.

I'll go ahead and submit the following book(s): A Darker Place by Laurie R. King (reading it anyway) The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis Every three weeks works for me.
