This. I have no idea what it's like to have any sort of addiction, because I never smoked, drank (except at parties, but not addicted) did drugs, I don't even like shopping! But I see these behaviors in others and I can see how hard it is to quit. My husband has a lung disease that will eventually kill him, but he still…

I think it would be cute. I would (if I was younger of course) probably give you my number if you asked for it, because it would show that you are confident and that you are not afraid ot feeling weird, which is ironic, because you obviously are, haha. I would just say, "You know, I was just thinking, that if I saw you in…

I think that most of these responders have not had to deal with this. Those who are saying kick him out and don't let him come back, yeah right. Like he's going to be out there in the street homeless and hungry, and you are just going to do nothing while he gets deeper into drugs and crime to pay for the drugs. Yeah, great…

It depends on how you have set your settings for MFP. If you list yourself as sedentary, then yes, log your work calories, as they are "extra". But if you set it as "moderately active" then you should not count them, because they are already worked in to MFP's recommended calories for you. You should only log calories that…

What a great post! I have often thought the same about my mom too. Now, I have grown children, aged 22 and 25, and they are making good choices because I have passed on the good things my mom taught me, even though I didn''t want to listen when I was a teen. But she was right. Good for you for finding this out.

I think when a woman is a b.i.t.c.h. and is overbearing and controlling and naggy, it can be a real turnoff. I'm female, but I asked my husband and he said this. (we don't have any problems in this area, he was just sayin)

Trying all of those things seems like overkill to me. Try only one thing and keep at it. It seems like your problem is that if you don't seem immediate results, you give up and "try" something new. Stick with diet and exercise. And don't quit.

Just because you're half French, doesn't mean you are living like a French woman. I am half Parisian French and half Canandian French, but I was raised in the U.S. So I adapted the eating habits of Americans.

I have seen this documentary and concluded that is IS healthy. These two men have been seen by doctors on a regular basis and they also exercise. It is all up to the person if they gain it back. These two men have not gained it back. They continue to eat right and exercise. It is a very good documentary. I like how all…

I wouldn't get a trampoline. A friend of mine's 11 year old son died from a trampoline accident two years ago. He was a budding musician and was a lovely active child. His father is a musician and now holds a musical festival in his son's name every year. It's called Tristenfest. Also, homeowner's insurance rates can be…

This has to be a joke. No one is this stupid!

Yeah, that's true. She is on birth control, and is responsible in that sense. I mean, she made it through college without getting pregnant, haha! And she had a boyfriend the whole time, although he left her for California. He is a musician. So he graduates and wants to make it big as a musician, and she graduates and wants…

Just wondering, was the lower calories working ? Why did you up them?

I would say definitely do strength training. Go to youtube and look up Bodypump classes, and other Les mills classes. They really work your core and strengthen and tone your body and they are very intense. Most gyms offer them, but also, I would try some workout DVD's if you can't make it to the gym. The main thing is to…

Exercising hard at the gym. I take all the morning, 6 am classes five days a week. They include Les Mills Bodypump, Bodycombat and CX works. Also, I put in the calories for my exercise, and eat back about half. I have lost inches and weight this way. Good luck to you. You can see these classes on Youtube. Many gyms offer…

I don't enter my strength training. Only cardio. That gives me less calories to eat which is better for me to lose weight. I do about half and half cardio and strength, so by only putting in my cardio, I eat back about half my exercise calories. This works well for me.

You are a sleepwalker. My son is one too, but he has never made a meal or eaten while sleeping. But he has taken things like knick knacks, phone chargers and things like that and moved them to another room. Or hide them in his own room. When you ask him if he'd seen them he says no and is totally floored when I find them…

green eye-student? Funny you say nurse, because I wanted to be one, but failed the accounting class! Instead I became a hairstylist and now own my own salon.

Look hot for a show I am doing in August. I play music and our band is doing a benefit concert and it's a three day event and every band in Central Virginia is donating their time. It's going to be so much fun, and I will buy a cute sundress to wear on stage and pretty high heels to match. Then I will change into my new…

This is the reason I have given up so many times. When I got bored, I would just quit. But not this time. I decided to join the gym in January and take as many of the Les Mills classes that I could take. I take one to two classes per day Mon thru Fri. Bodypump is a weightlifting class and Bodycombat is a great cardio…

Have you taken measurements? Are your clothes feeling looser? Are people noticing a change in you? I suggest taking measurements and recording them every week. I do mine on Sundays. Also record your weight, but don't obsess over it. Weight will fluctuate, especially with all of your exercise. You are replacing the fat with…

Me too! A whole month of exercising, lifting, cardio and core work an hour a day at the gym plus eating within my calories, and I didn't lose anything until the fourth week. Even then, I have only lost eight pounds in three months. But I have lost four inches in my waist and three in my hips. And body fat percentage has…

Oh dear, I didn't expect this post to grab me like it did. My hubby, the one in the profile pic with me, also has a serious lung disease. He has bullas emphysema. He has had seven lung collapses. Six in his right lung, which was taken out in 2005. So he only has one lung, and it has blisters (bullas) all over it. They (the…

THIS. I hate the term "with that said". It doesn't really mean anything, because if you left it out of the sentence, it wouldn't be missed.
