Exactly and this is what I struggle with - it's all good when I'm "on track" and "in the zone" and I'm loving the advice from everyone here and on the whole I'm fine - I suppose I want to know WHY I do this to myself (am I just greedy/lazy or do I have deeper issues regarding doing well for myself? ) especially when I have…

I'm on 1400 a day on average - my TDEE is 1452 so my calorie intake is fine ... when I'm logging that is

great post - thank you!

I don't fear being judged at all on here by anyone except myself! What starts off as can't log (don't have smart phone) because I'm away for the weekend manifests into a won't log because I suppose I tell myself that if I don't log then I can do what I like and actually what I like is to stuff my face with whatever I so…

You're right! I know you're right!

that's exactly what I do ... when I'm logging and it really works for me to! The problem is when I decide to not log for a few days because I know that I'll be going way over calories/macros - it literally takes me weeks to get back to logging on again and I eat with no regard for what I'm putting in my mouth. That's the…

doh! I've been doing this for just over 7 weeks not 12, so I guess 10lbs isn't too bad afterall :embarassed:
-
I know exactly how you feel, I've been doing this for 12 weeks and I've lost 10lbs so far (weigh in tomorrow so hopefully a bit more). It sounds like such a measly number doesn't it? I'm not doing much in the way of exercise as I'm recovering from a foot injury so no chance of me replacing fat with muscle, BUT! on the plus…

Hey me too! it does make a difference doesn't it??!! Let's keep going ....

WOW you look fabulous! How long did it take you and if you had difficult days how did you keep going?

sorry to hear you have been through so much Abbeyroad104 and thanks for the words of encouragement ... it's so hard to get in the right frame of mind isn't it? I do find MFP inspirational when I log onto it so maybe I should log on everyday! good luck yourself : 0 )

thanks for advice, I have just started a rehab program at the gym doing some very low impact cardio but I literally have to build it up by the minute, I over did it on friday and my ankle has been swollen since, although not too bad now. I was really careful the first 3 weeks into my injury but then just seemed to give up,…

I don't think you're fat. If you want to improve your look try and build some muscle for definition - I'm not talking arnie here - just a little light sculpting with resistance work. Well done on your weight loss so far!

CW: 168lb GW: 136lb 07/09: 168 lbs 07/16: 162lbs* 07/23: 165.5 WHY?????? * 07/30: 165.5 Another week of not losing anything - weight or inches, mind you I got a bit demotivated and decided to eat without care - still logged though so I can see why I haven't lost any this week. On the plus side I finished this challenge…

my dress arrived and it fits! Maybe another 5-7lbs to go and it will be perfect!

CW: 168lb GW: 136lb 07/09: 168 lbs 07/16: 162lbs* 07/23: 165.5 WHY?????? * 07/30: * I am soooooooooooo fed up, stuck to calories all week (slightly less if truth be told) and was at the gym 4x. Nothing to do with time of the month either. How come I've gained 3.5lbs? : 0 (

great work! Me? lost 6lbs 1/2 inch off bust 1 inch off waist 1.5 inch off hips 0.5 inch off each thigh 0.5 inche off each arm getting there!

I'm still getting the hang of this .... hopefully you worked out that my reply was to the quote I highlighted only somehow I did it in the wrong order :blushing:

you're building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat but takes up less space, hence the loose pants. it's working! keep at it!
