Im a little older and haven't really given myself a time frame. Ive come in and out of using MFP and while using it it does work. My sister has managed to loose all the weight she wanted and kept it off. Im here for motivation!

Hi Trish, I was going out alot last summer in the mornings & I felt great for the day and I think it kept me more motivated to stay on track. Like yourself Christmas has been my downfall. Im struggling to get back into it but at the minute im filling out my food diary for the week and writing a good healthy shopping list…

Thanks a mill Patrick for all the tips, I loved the one about the hard/boiled sweets. Ive such a sweet tooth. Once the mornings get a little brighter i will be out jogging. Thanks again & best of luck :happy:

Hey, thanks so much for all those work out tips. Ive bought a few workout dvds over the years but find i get bored of them after awhile. At least this way i get some variety. Ill try pre-logging for a week and see if i stick to it. Congrats on all you've lost!

Hi Patrick, Congrats on the new arrival. I felt i went into hibernation these past few months, sitting by the fire munching and no exercise. Have half a stone back on but getting back on track slowly. any tips or encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

My plan was to get a jog in between work & family visiting. I did 3k non stop. Now to start jogging longer distances! Keep up the good work, great motivation.

Loving the name and the changes. I was always basing my weigh in on the Thursday and filling it in on the Sunday so Friday isnt a big switch. The group has been great for motivation. Ill do anything i can do to help!

In Ireland its overcast but dry so we cant complain. Im going for a jog & a walk later! Thanks for the motivation :flowerforyou:

Hi Haven't posted her in awhile. Since we started this I've lost 11.5lbs so 8.5lb to go, ill have to make an extra effort the next few weeks to achieve the goal. Everyone is doing so well on this challenge!

I was down 1lb this week but ive been away the last few days and while i really tried to make good food choices im not sure how well it worked. Im going to have to make serious changes for the rest of the week if i want to continue to loose.

I did a 10k yesterday, i hadnt trained as much as i should have but i did it in less time than i did the same one last year. I also managed to jog all of it :)

Havent all my measurements but i was down 2lb so im happy, will try harder this week cause i need to loose more each week to meet the target!

I stick to weigh ins one morning a week. Its a very bad idea to check it a few times a day, you're always going to weigh differently depending on if you've just eaten etc.

What was the commitment? I missed that. I set my challenge to jog up the hill i normally turn at, i did it. Found it tough but ill keep doing it and it will get easier! Hope your shin splints dont last & that you're back running soon!

Some days we just cant complete challenges due to other commitments, you can always try another day when you know you will have more time to give to it. Don't give up!

www.runireland.com theres loads of other events around the country if you cant make the Flora women's mini marathong. Im taking part in the West of Ireland mini marathon in Castlebar on May 5th.
