  • Once you reach Stabilization, I believe you're supposed to have 3 tablespoons of oat bran daily. When I make the galette, I use a "heaping" tablespoon measurement in the recipe, so my actual serving is probably 3 instead of 2.
  • I count calories … sort of, on MFP but mostly to hold myself accountable for what I am actually eating and how much. Since I have started doing that, I have been able to curb my over-eating tendencies.
  • Walden Farms makes a very good honey Dijon dressing - sugar and fat free. If your local market has a diabetic section, check out the condiments. Also - try the yogurt based dressings ... they're not entirely fat free, but much better than the reduced fat Hidden Valley and Wishbone. Bolthouse Farms - in the refrigerated…
  • Great minds think alike I guess … :glasses: Sorry I missed your post, makes mine redundant …
  • No loose skin - 35 pounds lighter. A few of my friends have lost a significant amount of weight on Dukan, and no one seems to have the skin issues. I have seen an increase in some stretch marks on my thighs, but am being quite vigilant with the Palmers cocoa butter :embarassed: I know a few people who have had gastric…
  • What do you carry?? I have a .380 that I have run with concealed in a back holster, no issues. 5.11 makes an actual shirt that is designed for concealed carry - that might work for you.
  • Chobani fat free french vanilla greek yoghurt has been my giant crutch with this diet. It's an awesome snack anytime of the day. Also, when are you having your oat bran serving? I'm one of those people who tends to get very hungry mid day, so I have the oat bran galette in the morning as part of my breakfast … really does…
  • Started Attack on June 8th - Down 35 pounds and still going strong!! Best part is, I got my husband on board, so meal planning and dining is much easier!! Best of luck!!
  • I'm averaging now around 1.5 pounds per week ... but it's weird. I will have a plateau period during the week, and then finally Monday mornings the scale will go down.
  • Thanks!! It was like getting him to do anything else healthy, like going to the dentist, or having his blood pressure checked ... almost have to club him over the head and drag him!! LOL He loves his bread, crisps and pasta ... so that is the biggest challenge with him. He just finished the Attack Phase and quite pleased…
  • My husband and I have been experimenting with different preparations … For breakfast in the morning, I make mine with a teaspoon of baking Splenda, and 1/2 a teaspoon of cinnamon. Also … McCain spices makes a Pumpkin Pie and Apple Pie seasoning, which I have tried … actually quite tasty, just takes some getting used to the…
  • Down 25 with another 25 to go … hopefully will reach my goal by November, but my loss rate is slowing down now.
  • Oooh - that sounds yummy!! I love cheesecake, gonna have to try it!!
  • I had a little gain this week too … but it's been really hot and humid here lately, and my doctor attributes it to my body trying to stay hydrated due to the weather.

  • Here's a PDF prep guide from the Connecticut Fire Academy for the CPAT. http://www.ct.gov/cfpc/lib/cfpc/Candidate_Prep_Guide_2007.pdf Best of luck to you!!
  • That's what I'm hoping … I always heard that you loose 1 inch for every 10 pounds, but I don't think the inch is always from your waist!! My clothes feel a little more loose, so maybe it's dropping from other areas (wouldn't mind a smaller butt!!). Some people have noticed a difference already as well, and my face…
  • Northport and Great Neck.
  • Was a HUGE sigh of relief this morning!! My short term goal is to be 3.5 pounds lighter by the time we leave for Cape May in 2 weeks … I think that's pretty attainable. The big thing that I have noticed, is that while the 3 little numbers that appear on my scale have dropped considerably, I am not having any big losses…
  • Originally Long Island NY, now Danbury CT
  • Primarily - I am the Head Mischief Maker. Otherwise, I'm an EMT & Fire Department Dispatcher.
  • It really depends on your feet … including bone structure, and the physical mechanics of how you walk/run and distribute your weight. Everyone has different preferences and issues with their feet … so what might be the right fit for someone else, may not be the right fit for you. Saucony and New Balance, at least in my…
  • Scale FINALLY budged today … nearly 2 pounds!! Woot woot!! Oh hormones and bloating, how I loathe thee …
  • I've done that yogurt & vanilla trick too … it really does work for those sweet cravings!! I got some sugar free & no carb Jello … which I have heard mixed things about being allowed or not during Cruise.
  • I live in a small city too … fortunately, the YMCA in my area is quite affordable, and most of the classes (Zumba included) are included in your membership fees.
  • I found the Zumba DVDs on sale at Best Buy some time ago … Is there a YMCA near where you live?? They typically offer Zumba classes, as do some martial arts schools.
  • Congrats on completing Attack!! I don't get sweet cravings all that often, but when I do, it's usually pretty bad … I LOVE dark chocolate!! To satisfy my sweet tooth, I have a fat free vanilla Greek yogurt with some Splenda. I've heard that you can add sugar free coco powder to your yogurt too, if you have chocolate…
  • Amazing job!!!!
  • I have found it to be extremely helpful with holding me accountable for exactly what I'm eating. There's also something very rewarding about being able to see my progress chart with my weigh loss … just that visual alone is so motivating.
  • Thank you so much for the input!! I'm increasing my workouts this week, and trying more green tea instead of coffee … Yeah, being a girl stinks sometimes. I still have to explain to my hubby the whole fashion over function thing when it comes to clothing, and the reason why I need so many different bags & purses is because…
  • Awesome job!! I think I've hit my first plateau … I've been holding at the same weight for about a week now, however, this does coincide with, well … a certain monthly and most unwelcome "guest" …
