I'd go for the adjustable dumbbell set if you are limited for space. They are not as bulky as having plates everywhere. And you should be increasing weight as you go and it gets easier for you. That will happen fast with 12-15 lbs, especially with deadlifts and squats.

I love this. You are a total badass and an inspiration to many. I lift. Heavy. And I love my protein. No, I'm not getting bulky. In fact, I'm the most fit I've ever been. Ever. I'm a mom, a wife, a full-time professional, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a home-owner, a landlord, a volunteer mentor, a travel enthusiast and…

I can't understand most of your post but eat at a calorie deficit. Try to find the time to work out, even if it's a walk with the baby stroller. Don't fall for fad diets or teas. Take the time to lose the weight right and it will stay off. You're on a calorie counting website, try using it.

I'm going to say he either (a) has bitchy rest face syndrome or (b) has never seen someone with pink hair. Assuming you still have pink hair. Seriously doubt you were doing anything wrong on a stair master. Either way, don't let it bother you.

I'm not a man... but sirloin steak tips are the best. Especially pan-seared with a little salt and pepper.

Extra calories. And lame excuses like thinking one thing or another was the sole reason for my lack of losing weight.

Do they look like this?

Coffee and fiber one bars. Gets me every time.

While you may not be able to do the exact SL5x5 routine with dumbbells, you can certainly do a dumbbell modified version of it. The lifts in this thread are pretty much the SL lifts anyway. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/902569/barbell-routines-when-you-only-have-dumbbells#latest The only difference with…

Sounds like an anti-PF rant to me. I thought the tanning beds were the only good thing at PF. Gym and tanning goes together like peanut butter and fluff. But I guess it's not for everyone. As for the massage chairs... I've used it but was not entirely impressed. I've sat in much nicer massage chairs while getting a…

I use this same cup when my blender bottle isn't clean! I think I paid like $2 for it. It works just the same too. And I think I got my blender bottle (i.e. cup with a metal ball) for like $5. I drink protein shakes all the time and I don't even own a blender. I use Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard (Mocha…

My god... why would you ever torture yourself like this. No need to deprive yourself or eat and then work-off those measly 60 calories. My morning coffee has more calories than that. Just eat the darn candy and fit it into your day. Oh, and thanks for reminding me Reese's has extra protein. *runs off to eat some Reese's*

Because the OP was making excuses and excuses won't give you successful results. Learn where the real problem lies, and find a solution that works. Don't blame the weight gain on birth control alone, blame the hormones or excess in calories. OP, maybe talk to your Dr. about different options if you cannot control the…

I totally freaked out and thought Pepperidge Farm was closing up shop. Can I have these cookies?!?! I mean, it's a sin to throw them out.

Candy corn is a type of corn, thus a vegetable and is healthy. Now I really want candy corn.

This looks great! Throw in some black beans and this looks exactly like my burrito bowl from Chipotle!

She could be right if you choose like her and decide to let yourself go after having children. Don't let her be right.

FIGHT for calorie EQUALITY!! Join the MFP social rights movement! Seriously.... a calorie is a calorie. No difference in weight loss. Overall health is a different story. But that's already been said over and over again.

The words Dr oz and interesting should not be used in the ssme sentence. But this... this I like.

Well done posting this in the chit chat fun and games board :noway:

My husband actually suggested this exact idea, but our slow cooker is digital so when the outlet turns on you would need to turn on the settings :( I may look into a programmable one in the future, for now ours at least automatically goes on the warmer setting when it's done.

I hear you, my body composition completely changed post-baby. Even though I was the same weight pre-pregnancy, I had so much extra weight in my belly. I've added heavy lifting strength training in addition to a calorie deficit and am just starting to feel like I have a better core than I did before. This is the best advice…

I do have a panini press, but unfortunately my husband is even more picky than my toddler! He's not big on turkey or chicken sandwiches, but we do make grilled cheese once in a blue moon.
