  • To think that people who workout every day and look amazing don't continually fight a constant battle within themselves may be wishful thinking. lol It may get easier to 'just do it'... but I think there will always be that inner choice- do I want to be lazy and sabotage the hard work I've put in so far... or do I want to…
  • I'm sure you aren't alone. We all want to be happy with our bodies. What I find sexy may differ from other people's ideas. That's ok. As long as you are happy. You can still lose body fat without necessarily losing pounds... and you can continue to work out while eating more until you have the body you want. Body recomp…
  • Sent you a request
  • I'd like to join in for April. I've never done anything like this and don't have a lot of pounds to lose, but definitely need something to keep me active and from falling off the healthy wagon (because when I fall, it is a plummet... lol).
  • I'm an accountant, so sit at a desk for 10 hours a day... but feel free to add me too  https://www.fitbit.com/user/25TJQV
  • My son's a1c was 14 when he was diagnosed with Type 1 and wasn't making any insulin at all. A1c over 11 means your average blood sugar was over 250. Bringing it down to 6.4 is amazing. (Means your average is closer to 130).

  • Since you know ahead of time there will be tasty deliciousness in your day, go ahead and log it the day before (couple days before?) Then you can plan what to have for breakfast and dinner to make up for any nutrients you will be short on because of the yummy indulgence and can also make sure you have enough calories to…
  • loooove  mm fried dough and sugar... Pierce the Veil
  • Hi! Congratulations on quitting smokes! That takes a lot of willpower and motivation! I'm afraid I can't give much advice on sticking to the program since my track record isn't great. I've been off and on the bandwagon since 2013. lol Maybe join a challenge group? It's about to start a new month, so there should be lots…
  • I'm in. I only work out at home as well. I do a bit of lifting and walking right now, but can add in some videos on my non-weights days.
  • I've always been what my family considers "small" so I have always gotten the comments... I bet they stop pretty quickly if you make a jab about their body in return.? My favorite is, "Compared to yours, maybe".
  • Good luck to you as well. Ever since my oldest was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, I can't seem to lose weight and after basically maintaining within 10 pounds for several years, I am steadily gaining weight. May also have something to do with me hitting 30 this year, I guess. (Wah! ) I've decided I'll start with…
  • I have no idea how many times I've been "back"... Sometimes it doesn't even last a week. I hope I stay awhile this time. Good luck to you!
  • ^^I agree. A fitness coach isn't necessarily a nutritionist. How many calories are you eating now?
  • I usually let my kids choose what I give up. This year it is alcohol and soda. :( I'm adding that I will do something active every day. I'm an accountant and sit all day long... sometimes it's hard to even get 4000 steps in a day! Yikes.
  • Good luck :) Have you looked into a lifting program? Or maybe 30 day shred. That's what I used to jump-start my motivation the first time I joined (after the 1200 calorie diet was a major fail lol)
  • Houston here :)
  • Wow! Congrats on the 52 pounds gone! That's awesome! :)
  • Probably wasn't wise to go without food for 2 meals just because you had beer. Restricting yourself like that is bound to cause a binge. I suggest eating a snack with carbs and protein before dinner time so that you aren't craving it as badly. Plan your meals ahead of time, when you aren't hungry and having cravings. If…
  • Yes, you should. If it makes you uncomfortable to "eat back" your calories expended, change your activity level from sedentary, as you are not sedentary if you are working out. You are not erasing your workouts by eating extra calories to fuel said workouts... you are preventing yourself from being at too high of a deficit.
  • One of my favorite afternoon snacks (as soon as I get home from work, I am ravenous and want to eat all the foods) is to slice up a pita, drizzle a tsp of olive oil, sprinkle with oregano, shred a slice of cheddar cheese on top, heat and enjoy "nachos". Carb fix satiated with only 150 calories. Winning! ;) Also, if you…
  • I went to Chuck E. Cheese last night for a kid's bday party and I did not eat pizza. Whaaaat?? Had a slice of cake, though... because I'm human. o:) B)
  • I don't see the big controversy surrounding this program. They basically give you a meal plan and an exercise plan which is what everyone knows they need to do (eat healthier, and exercise). The shakes, if you choose to order them, aren't all that different from buying your daily mutivitamins, protein shakes, and pre or…

  • Something is not right. Can you verify that all of your measurements are entered correctly? For that light of weight, you probably don't need to lose pounds, but rather maintain and slim down your body fat %... so that is something else to consider.
  • Figure out your calorie and macro goals. Walk more. Go from there. :)
  • I do a shake each day. It doesn't just have protein though, lots of vitamins and minerals too. I think of it the same as taking a multivitamin.
  • Rockets. *sigh*
  • I wouldn't worry about having too much protein. I'm on 1400-1600 calories, and I have around 100g of protein. Since you are breastfeeding, though, I'd suggest adding some extra carbs. And then just look for alternatives to what you've filled your containers with. Maybe not get the fat free peanut butter, for example. Or…
  • I started the 21 day fix (not extreme) yesterday. :)
  • I would suggest to look at how you have your activity level programmed into MFP as it has probably changed since you first started. If you have sedentary selected, then yes, you should be logging mowing the lawn. If you have lightly active, you may need to log riding your bike to work, if you are also doing other things.…
