I didn't wear my helmet for the first time this week. Was considering leaving it, until I read this. Thank :-) Glad you're alright!

It's not rocket science. If your ring has been eating more calories than it burns off, it's going to get bigger. Simple CICO.

Bananas. It would be oranges, but they're too hit and miss.

I see your point, and this isn't JUST aimed at you, but I find the whole "REAL man" or "REAL woman" thing very cringe inducing. Some men are macho, aggressive, misogynistic etc. They're still a man, no more or less. Just a macho, aggressive, misogynistic man. Same with women. Every person who uses these phrases seems to…

Time isn't really all that relevant as one person could accomplish something in 60 minutes, and someone else could take 120 mins to do the same work. Also, 2lbs in 12 days is fine, it's over 1lb a week, If you want to increase your time, I would suggest maybe a decent beginners weights/resistance programme, or one you…

There will always be people misrepresenting each dieting "ideology". IIFYM is great, it works, it's proven to lose weight, but just like keto, people think it's the whole story. The whole point of losing weight should be - primarily - for health reasons. So IIFYM can be abused, for example: 1800kcals of cake - that isn't…

Maybe find a gym you'd like to use, and ring up and ask them. Probably best to speak to the manager if possible.

If you're in a calorie deficit on your birthday, you're birthydaying wrong ;-) Happy birthday and forget about weights, scales etc until tomorrow. It's only one day a year.
-
If you're miserable, up your calories, maybe by 250kcals per day, and try that for a week or two. Then again if necessary. See how your weight responds. Your plan needs to be sustainable or it's effectively useless. Good luck :-)

The Pebble 2 is well reviewed. I have the original and the silent timers and alarms are by far my favourite feature, well above any "smart" features.

I think tabata/HIIT is the logical step to take from here. Try 30 seconds sprint, 60 seconds recovery spinning and see how that feels. Maybe set a max workout time for 20 mins too. As you progress, cut your recovery by 10 seconds and add to the sprint time. Have a look on your smartphones app store as there are a lot of…

Bought a Garmin VivoSmart HR+. Returned it within a week. Terrible, hugely inaccurate, and therefore pointless.

When I was younger and worked as a dishwasher at a restaurant. Worst day ever. Have you ever eaten a whole batch of brownies/cookies?

Keto'er here. I love it

In my experience, the problem with sugar is how addictive it can become. Yes CICO is still the basic rule, but when your CI is hard to keep down because you're craving something (usually sugary), it doesn't make it easy to eat less. I've found keto to keep the hunger away. I personally wouldn't consider it a diet for life…

Set her on fire and consider the question: "Should I go to her funeral?" Serious answer: No. This woman killed your dog. She knew it was in a house alone with no-one to feed it, and instead of being honest with you, or even being dishonest and getting someone else to feed it and lie about it, she let it starve to death. No…

Add a weights program to your exercise routine. You need to stimulate your body to use the extra calories to build lean mass rather than just store as fat. Check here for a decent routine. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10332083/which-lifting-program-is-the-best-for-you/p1
