Hey, ya'll! There are some great groups on FB for bariatric surgery. People are constantly posting before and after pictures and sharing non-scale victories. It's very encouraging! Check it out!

Ha! Only on a website about food could you find an argument over tacos! Hey, if there's anything worth fighting over, it's tacos!

Very inspirational and exciting!!! You look amazing!

I <3 my bike. It does cannot change gears, but it's comfortable. I have a huffy that came with the rack, basket and even a cup holder. LOL! While I do love it, I am planning on buying myself a street model when I reach 100lbs lost. I want to be able to go faster and really get a good burn in when I ride.

Oh, I did not stop. LOL! Just laughed and kept on going!

Welcome! I'm Eileen! I agree with Ashley. when I started focusing and changing my life, I didn't even work out fot 3 months. I just started by switching to only drinking water and no fried foods or desserts. After that I started counting calories, purely out of curiosity at first, but then I discovered that it made sense…

You look fantastic! That gets me excited! I'm 5'9 and would kill to be 220! LOL! There's such a big difference between 270 and 220! Way more noticble than the difference between 350 and 300! LOL! Good for you!

Welcome! Feel free to add me!

The other day my son walked into the room while I was working out and said, "Haha! I can hear your belly smacking!" :ohwell: When at home, I let it fly! It's a great reminder of why I want to push so hard. When in public I either workout in my bathing suit or generic spanks. They breathe a little better than the name brand.

My goal is 160. I may change it from there, but I've been big all of my life (I started at 372) and I'm not sure I would be comfortable going any lower in the healthy weight range than that. I do plan on muscle accounting for the extra 15lbs, though! I think it's all about comfort and personal preference.

I weigh myself once a week (on Friday), but even that has proved to affect me negatively. I find that I eat really well and exercise like crazy Wednesday and Thursday, but not so well the other days of the week. Then not only am I choosing bad foods to eat but I overdo it on the 2 days before and go into the weekend…

My advice: Stop making excuses and do it. Stick with it and you'll be amazed at the influence it has on your kids! As for embarrassment when working out, I had to choose to change my mind and you can too. Now instead of worrying what people think as they see the big girl riding her bike all over town, I get excited that…

^^^^THAT! Doctors are jerks for this very reason. We would rather listen to people who tell us what we want to hear.
-
Fantastic! If such a difference can be seen every 10lbs, imagine how much smaller it will be when you reach your ultimate goal!

Have you ever seen Anthony Bourdain's Food Porn? That's kind of how I feel about this thread right now. It all sounds so good... As you can tell, I have a very unhealthy relationship with food. I would say the 3 day period when I ate a jar of Nutella a day was my worst. I was sick from it each night, yet kept returning for…

HAHA! I saw this after I commented on your post! But this proves my point exactly! Me thinks he doth protest too much!
-
You can really see the difference! You are going to be a hottie! Not that you are not already, just slightly hotter. Lol! You're doing a great job!
-
I love it! I had the same experience with some shirts. I had thought they had shrunk in the dryer. Nope! There was just more of me to fill them up! Keep up the good work!
-
Add me! Good luck!

I once went back and counted a "normal" day's caloric intake from before I had started counting. It was over 7000 without counting drinks. I'm pretty sure I should have been found legally insane. No wonder I ballooned to 372. Now I eat 1600 a day and I've lost 72lbs in 6 months!

Fantastic! Hey, do you still have that pink dress from your before pic, and if so, may I please have it? Lol!
