I'm 5'4 and I am at my goal of 135. I have stayed here for a few months now. I do not want to get any smaller for my body type. The past 3 weeks I have been exercising to tone up, not lose anymore weight. I wear between a size 2-4 (US).

I live in NYC and have kept my weight of for 3 years now and have stayed at my goal weight of 135 for some time now. I have learned that is OK to indulge one day and I dont wind up gaining weight from it. The trick is, and you already seemed to have realized it. is dont eat garbage for 3 meals out of the day. Shopping for…

Usually an english muffin with a slice of fat free cheese and reduced fat breakfast sausage = 205 calories or 3 pancakes with whichever ingredient I add to spice it up ( berries, choco chips, peanut butter, lemon etc..) and light syrup = 260 calories. When I add extra ingredients to the mix i never exceed 40 calories more.

Grilled Eggplant sandwhich with tomato sauce, sides of kale and asparagus---275 calories.

Did you know that a podiatrist does not go to medical school? I have worked for an Orthopaedic Surgical practice for over 12yrs. We have seen countless patients requiring reconstructive surgery after a podiatrist performed surgery to correct the problem. Most people dont realize there is a difference between a podiatrist…

Thank you, that is all i'm saying. Other people get all defensive and judgmental and are so quick to snap at people. I'm just saying what you paraphrased above.

I wind up eating the same food regularly only because I prepare all my meals in advance and tend to have lots of leftovers. Plus, I hate cooking during the work week so its just easier, when I have time, to make enough for 2-3days. I am getting sick of the same thing for days in a row. I'm trying to figure out what to do…

You are probably better off counting the buffet day as a loss instead of trying to balance it out the rest of the week. I say that because your daily calorie level seems low anyway. You should just eat normal the rest of the week. Maybe you will gain a pound, maybe you wont. You can always just reduce your calories next…

I dont see how it could have a negative impact but I also wouldnt worry about that one day throwing off your progress. Just make sure you stick to your limits the rest of the week. One day doesnt make or break you. I am 5'4 and started at 180lbs. I am now 139lbs. MFP says my maintenance level is 1660. There have been maybe…

Black beans are my quick and simple way to deal with my leftovers. I had left over 93% lean ground beef, through it in a pan with half a cup of brown beans, added chili powder, diced onions, diced peppers, added 3 teaspoons tomato sauce and which ever other random seasoning I wanted. Dumped the contents into a flax sed…

I weigh most things, including the mustard, BBQ sauce, cream cheese, and Peanut Butter. Liquids I use measuring cups or spoons. By weighing everything and seeing with my own eyes how much a true serving size is it has made it a lot easier for me when I eat out and cant weigh things because now I am pretty good at…

I have this issue, too. I was considering something like metamucil but havent gotten around to it. In addition to trying to consume more fiber through the food I eat was taking Fiber Gummies daily for 3 months. They taste just like a gummie bear but they are sugar free and give you 5 grams of fiber a serving. It was an…

Oh wow, I didnt realize it was pumpkin time already. I love pumpkin everything. Pumkin lattes, pumpkin muffins, bread, smoothies, pie, cookies, ice cream, and frozen yogurt...to name a few  I usually see the pumpkin craze start up around here ( NYC) in September. I am looking forward to it. :drinker:

I had an english muffin sandwhich that I made myself with 1 slice of nonfat cheese and two slices of turkey bacon. Plus coffee with 10 calorie creamer and equal.

If you know that you are going out to eat later in the day, plan your earlier meals around that. For example, if you are likely to go Wendys or Fridays etc... add the calories of the meal you are most likely to get before you are going there. Then you can plan your earlier meals by eating less calories. I always log my…

In your profile picture, you dont seem to have big, stocky legs or thunder thighs at all. You look slim. I have big thighs, wide hips, and a tiny waist. Certain cuts of pants will never fit me. I buy boot cut or ones that say curvy fit. Another thing that never fits me---any pants or jeans bought from junior stores such as…

You need to be in control of your life. The fact that people are emotional eaters is something an individual can learn to change. I would feel depressed and stressed, too, if my job was being eliminated. Even more so that I am single, live alone, and support myself. it could be worse. at least your husband has a job. I…

Working in the city and having a coomute suck up 3 hours of my day as well as household chores and responsibilities makes me not want to do much exercise. After I finish doing my chores and stuff I usually only have 2 hours before I go to bed. Id rather just relax so i try to add in extra walking by taking the long way to…

I use measuring cups and a food scale. I weigh all my food cooked---except pasta as it weighs more after being cooked. I never weigh my fruit that contains pits. The guestimate of being small, medium, or large has worked just fine for me. Also, weighing only the cooked food has always served me well. I never gained any…

Skinny Jeans arent for everyone. I look retarted in them and they are completely unflattering---even in my new skinny size 4 pants. My big hips and wide thighs just arent cut out for skinny jeans. I wish they looked good on me because I do like the style---on the appropriate bidy shape.

1200-1300 calories are not long term goals. They are meant to help you lose weight. Eventually you will have to eat more. For those nights that you splurged at some restaurant, drank alot of alcohol, or consumed too many goodies thats why you exercise. To burn off the excess to maintain your weight or to condition your…

Shake diets may make you lose weight in the beginning but it doesnt teach you the proper way to eat. Eventually, you will get sick of shakes and want to eat real food. What then? If you dont know how to balance you meal calories and portion sizes then you will gain it all back. Shakes take the thinking out of eating for…

The best suggestion I have is to keep logging your daily intake according to the calories recommended for your activity level/lifestyle. Once you learn how much food you can eat and the portion sizes you should be eating for your 3 main meals a day then you will see how many left over calories you can use to do what you…

I started baking my own donuts from scratch. They average around 96-100 calories without glaze. Depending on whay glaze I make, that adds 25-50 calories. either way, 150 cal or less. Look up Wilton Donut recipe. Also, instead of baking a cake out of boxed cake mix, you can make cupcakes. I usually decrease the oil in the…

Ensure shakes are high calorie drinks that taste like milkshakes when they are cold. I think they are like 320 calories each. When my boyfriends father was sick and lost a lot of weight the doctors gave him 3 Enure shakes a day to gain weight.

Here is the recipe from the pan... I used skim milk instead of butter milk, all purpouse flour instead of cake flour but I had to add a packet of yeast to the flour to accomodate it. Cake flour was more expensive and I'm cheap. It still tasted good to us. Baked Cake Donuts 2 cups cake flour, sifted ¾ cup granulated sugar 2…
