  • Glad I found this post. Been having the same problem. Just washed it with dish soap and voila, I got an instant reading!
  • Thanks, buddy. I will try to do some things at 45 today. I am using traditional bars and weights and I have small increments as needed.
  • I am only doing Pump and Burn so far. I am afraid to add too much weight. Currently at a total of 40 pounds for each move. I could probably up it for a few but then might not be able to finish. I know everyone is different but what did you up yours to?
  • On the weekends, I usually do a steel cut oatmeal with almond milk, berries, and flax seed . Sometimes I make a batch of quinoa or amaranth and mix them in with the oatmeal. Can make a batch, mix and save the rest in the fridge to nuke the next day.
  • I usually have yogurt with berries, whey protein and a little kashi cereal and flax seeds. Not a to go breakfast, but not bad. The smoothies sound pretty good. I could even do them with yogurt (probiotic for digestion) berries, whey and whatever I wanted to throw in the blender.
  • I lost 20 pounds from November to March due to radical diet change for health reasons and moderate exercise. No alcohol, no beef, and other dietary changes. March 1, I weighed 170. Did P90X2 exercise with same diet for three months. I still weighed 170. Got my calories to the 1200 per day area for about a month. P90x2…
  • I am just finishing up P90X2 and will start doing Les Mills Pump this Saturday. I have the dvds and am looking forward to this. I would like to lose a little fat and retain or gain more muscle.
  • I've got the polar F7 that seems to work quite well. I got it on ebay.
  • Congratulations. I am new on the boards here. Dan has already sent me some advice, answering my cry in the wilderness and I am curious as to how to move forward. What is the fuel the machine group. Dan already sent me a Lyle McDonald link and I was looking at some of that stuff last night. Thanks for any direction.
  • I appreciate the time you have taken to input my numbers and come up with a plan. When I plug my 60 years, 5"10", 169 into the BMR calculator here, it comes up with 1583 and not 1755. You must be using a different calculator. MFP has me at 2140 calories burned from "normal daily activity" and then came up with a deficit of…
  • I have just been tracking my calories and workouts here for a short while. I am 5'10", 169, 60 years old, bf 17%. I want to get down to 160, maybe 155. Want to get my bf% down. I am just about done with the P90X2 exercise program which is fairly intense about 4 days of the week. On the other days, I sometimes do Yoga,…
