Congratulations! Great NSV.

I am a grumpy bleep if I go too many days without cardio. When I'm in a bad mood my husband politely asks me to go downstairs and get on the treadmill. haha

I had this when I first started running and still every now and then when I haven't been consistent or when I run a new route/increase my distance, etc. I usually find if I can distract myself enough to keep running through it the feeling disappears and running becomes easier. The first 1 1/2 miles are always the hardest…

I have been running for one year with most of my emphasis on gaining distance over speed. However, I usually do one faster 2 mile run per week mostly out of curiosity without pressure on myself. What is your regular training pace per mile? 11:30 - 12:30 (started at 14:00, stayed stuck at 13:00 FOREVER) What's your race…

Caramel cashew trail mix from Target - calorie counts are LETHAL and I can never stop at just one, two, or even three handfuls.

Wow! You are incredible and I loved reading your story.

One common reason is they can be done at home while the kids are entertained. It's a great alternative to packing the kids up to head to the gym on rainy days. I personally do them from time to time WITH my kids because it's a fun way to get them to exercise as well and they're attention span is roughly 15-20 min, which…

Strengthening muscle is NEVER a bad idea. Have you ever seen a woman with a toned stomach that looks bulky in the abdomen? Building your abdominal strength will not increase bulk in the midsection but it can help prevent back pain, improve posture, improve metabolism, and many many many other positives! Do both! ETA:…

I don't mind her on the DVD's but I usually turn her off before she gets sappy during the cool down. I can't stand her, however, on the Biggest Loser. I think she's very disrespectful and arrogant in the first few weeks before she starts to mellow out a little and realize they are all human beings.

Great choice! You look very professional and with the the whole outfit (shoes included) in place, you will do great in your interview and be much more confident!

I have the Fitbit One and I love it! I even turned around on my way to work this morning because I forgot to put it back in my bra after my shower. Haha

You are so awesome! You have truly been an inspiration to me and I am rejoicing in your success with you! Thank you for sharing the past few months with me.

I can relate to this 100%!
-
Awesome!!!

Very inspiring! Congratulations, you are fabulous!

^^^^This. Tragic on all levels. It's also tragic that people choose to attack others on an internet forum for having a differing opinion. I think THAT speaks volumes about someone.

Thank you! I think we will just wear shades.

Great job!!! I am doing the Color Run here in May with my 5 year old. Any advice as far as protective eyewear, etc??? Someone told me they give you goggles so it doesn't get in your eyes but I really don't want to run with goggles.

Ummmm...... of course, several times. Europe, South America, Caribbean.

I am mid 30's, two young kids, full time job, 40 more pounds to lose. Feel free to add me!

I'm big chested, need to lose a total of 80 pounds (halfway there now) and started walk/run with couch to 5K (C25K) on the treadmill last spring. It took several weeks but I gradually built up my running tolerance and started shedding pounds. When I first started I couldn't run 1 minute so I started at 30 seconds. I…

Just what others have said, I add it to smoothies (see below for my favorite) and I also use it in a breakfast casserole. Modified Green Smoothie: 6 oz plain greek yogurt handful frozen strawberries 1 banana (this is also how I get rid of overly ripe bananas) 8 oz Unsweetened Almond milk (others have used coconut milk but…

Amen! That's it in a nutshell.

I do this too. While my daughter is in soccer practice I run around the track. It's very efficient - you will love it.

I work full time and have a 3 and 5 year old. I find it easiest to fit in a workout as soon as we get home (usually between 4:30 and 5:30). If I wait until after dinner, I won't have the energy and/or my food won't be settled. I do a variety of workouts. Twice a week we take the kids with us to the gym (they go in the…

Are you doing it for him or you?

Wow, what a change for 8 weeks! You are doing fabulous!!!

Although it sounds trite, my overall weight loss reward will be more energy and confidence. However, my husband and I have a moderate weight loss goal we have each set and the first person to reach it gets a $300 shopping spree for new clothes - the other person has to carry all items to/from the dressing room and carry…

You've already ruled out a HRM so I guess the options are a FitBit or a GPS watch. It depends on what you want it to track. A GPS watch will not work well indoors if you are interested in say, your steps during a day of work. If you're looking at an outdoor walk/run then a GPS will give you the most accurate distance. I…

I got pregnant on the pill (and yes, I took it everyday at the same time - no misses). There is no 100% guarantee with any form of birth control.
