Hi there PhatMama9! I have to be one of the first to tell you, packing it on or "letting yourself go" when you have trauma in your llife is perfectly normal... I, too, have done that. I've been dealing with being the sole financial support for my family (huband, 17 year old and a five year old); the rock of support for my…

Totally easy and becomes as much of your healthy habit as exercise/eating right! I love it!

Dont worry about the scales so much, focus on how your everyday clothes fit... water can be retained (very well by women) and muscle weighs more than fat. The scales will only make you discouraged. Keep that to a minimum, but notice how your clothes fit instead.

Absolutely do this!!!!! So many times we try to not eat what we REALLY want only to eat everything else and end up with more calories!!! Or, we deprive ourselves something and that ends up being the ONLY thing we want from then on! Eat what you want, in MODERATION. You CAN do this!!!!!! Hang in there!!

Hi there, I'm with you on the 1200 calorie kick right now. I've been doing this for a little bit, but the best thing while at the 1200 limit is the workout allowance. If you do it right, you can actually eat more calories and still be under your goal for the day- just make sure you work out!

I had bad heartburn durig the first two weeks of the diet.. I just drank my 1% milk and watched what I ate so I didn't get as much acid. Which was kind of hard since I LOOOOVE spicy food!

Stop looking at the scale so much... remember that muscle weighs more than fat. Go by how your clothes fit. This also helps reduce the stress you may be causing yourself with can hinder weight loss!

Believe it or not, I make two deviled eggs (can't eat eggs otherwise, hate the taste) and drink one cup of 1% milk for breakfast every morning. I found the combination actually makes me full and sustaines me until lunch time no problem. :drinker:

I had a working lunch, our vendor brought Porto's Bakery sandwiches. I split a Turkey and swiss cheese croissant with another MFP member and added one teaspoon of mayo (sorry, can't give it up). Not too bad, less thank 350 calories and I'm full!

Hello, congrats on starting. I was talked into it by a colleage at work who was using it, such a great tool! Helps me figure out what I should/can eat versus not knowing... I've lost weight in just the past two weeks already!

I wish I had been doing it as long as you, but for any goal for me, I take some time and write down why I'm doing what I'm doing. That helps. And if you have an off day, try a new food and exercise the additional calories away by doing something you really enjoy. Shopping/window shopping for a few hours is a decent calorie…

Try Humus by Sabra... relatively cheap, goes great with carrots/other veggies, VERY low calorie!
