PCOS sucks but as others have said, it's not the end of the world. I have more hair than normal, irregular periods, acne, but the weight loss isn't that hard. I have also had three beautiful children. I managed this by watching my body for signs of ovulation. Once you know what to look for it is easy to pinpoint. I can…

My youngest is 19 months and I only just bought a size 8 (from a 9) today but I have lost some weight. I had to get some size 10's when I was pregnant! Could just be the boot make but I guess the only way to know for sure is to buy more shoes.....yay!

Haven't encountered this yet. Most people on here don't eat their calories back if they are trying to lose weight. Keep up the good work, stick to the problem, and ignore them :)

The only time I get to exercise with my 18 month old is either going for long walks during the day, wait until hubby gets home from work or normally I put her into the gym creche while I workout.

I just signed up! A tad nervous :) Anyone add me for support if they like :)

Yes I know I can do this if I just want to lose weight but I also want to tone up and get fit. In particular I want to run :)

Oh no I'm not that naive to think that I could get rid of a baby belly after three kids (youngest is 18 months). My belly is great for having three kids so no problems there. My body has changed somewhat in shape from having three kids, I've more than accepted that and happy to work with what I've got. I think my query was…

Thanks everyone. Yes I am definitely doing weights as well and trying to tone my body.

Thanks ladies. I have gone through the settings again and again. It only shows distance, hr, pace, or time on a live screen. So annoying!

DD to a B here. So sad I could cry :(

C25K doesn't get easier but you get fitter and better at it! Stick to it. I just completed it and am now onto C210K and it is such a great feeling. When I am not running I do either an aerobics class, weights, or cardio such as elliptal and treadmill. I think I might try the 30ds soon :)

I'm in the same boat. Burning a lot less calories doing the same exercises. I am going to have to rethink all me exercises now. I used to have about 10-12 pairs of jeans I could wear. Now I only fit into 1-2 and even they are starting to get baggy. Might have to go shopping soon!

I've just finished C25K and am now on C210K. I never ran before C25K. My tips are: good shoes, slow you pace right down to begin with, and breath long and deeply (no shallow gasping). Good luck!

I love Lorna Jane. A bit overpriced but i find the quality and fit good. I have a couple of tights that I got from Target or K-mart and they were great. I've lost weight recently so they no longer fit :( Hubby bought me some skins compression pants (super expensive) and they are SO uncomfortable. They dig in at the hem…

I've gone from a DD to a B. I loved my DD breastfeeding boobs but alas we had to part ways. If I could chose I would have bigger boobs but hey, you get what you're given. No way I could cut myself up for bigger boobs! I have another 3kg to goal weight so I'm REALLY hoping they don't go down to an A cup :(

They run very high for me. I wasn't aware until I bought a HRM.

from adelaide here too, feel free to add me :)

Thanks everyone. I did a very slow 15 minute jog today on the treadmill and there was no pulling or pain. I will def take it easy for a few weeks. Elliptical and bike I think :)

I was diagnosed with PCOS after trying for over a year to get pregnant. Three kids later....... Anyway with weight loss yes it is known to be harder with PCOS but I have found it ok. I am what is classed as a slim PCOS'er. I found that controlling your sugar levels helps ie don't gorge on sugary foods so your insulin…

Hi everyone. First off a big thank you to everyones advice. I took two main things on board today. I reduced my pace and REALLY focused on taking deep long breaths for the whole run. I am pleased to say it worked beautifully and I blitzed week 4 of C25K. Week 4 is 2X3min and 2X5min runs. Well of course today the program…

Thanks everyone. Some good advice. I will try to focus on my breathing more and see if that helps :)

The irregular periods and weight gain are a sign of PCOS but to be 100% sure you need to speak to your doctor. I have/had polycystic ovaries, more hair than normal and bad acne. My doc ignored it for years but as soon as I started to try and get pregnant it was discovered. Metformin worked wonders for me. It helped…

I agree that eating 1200 and under is not good. Try and up your calories just a little so you are on the other side of 1200. Your metabolism will work a lot more efficiently. If you're filling up on fruit and vegies maybe try swapping some for a bit of meat or dairy if possible? I have been eating 1200-1400 (with exercise)…

Well I thought I fixed it but every time my fitbit re-syncs with the computer it goes back to 6,000+ :(
-
I think I figured it out! I logged my walk into the fitbit website and it brought my calories down to around 1600 and when I checked MFP it had only added on another 321. So yay!
-
I don't think it is a problem with MFP. It is the fitbit that is saying I have burnt over 6,000 calories already.
-
ecw3780 - do you mean set my MFP activity level to sedentary or fitbit?
