I made a delicious crock pot veggie bean soup today, modified from a pasta fagioli recipe I'd found. I left the pasta out, added more beans and substituted Jennie-o Italian seasoned ground turkey for ground beef: 1 package Jennie-o Italian seasoned ground turkey 4 cups beef stock 3 carrots- sliced 1 cup chopped celery 1…

So many great ideas..thanks for starting this topic! I'll be trying a lot of these. Bye bye boring chicken! :flowerforyou:

Congratulations on your new car! I've only driven a manual transmission twice and "not pretty" is a great way to describe it. Once you get the hang of the rhythm of sensing the RPMs, using the clutch & shifting will become second nature.

I have two stories, both having to do with my dad's passing in 1981. At his funeral, his casket was covered with red roses. In the weeks that followed his death, when I felt lost & alone, I'd suddenly be overwhelmed by the scent of roses. It happened in my car, at home and at work. At work, other people smelled them too.…

Love Jim Croce's music! I remember the day he died. I bawled my eyes out. What a loss, he was so talented.

You and your husband both look fabulous and I agree with the other person who posted that you look much younger. Thanks for posting your half-way pics. Given that I still have a large amount to lose (105 pounds), I sometimes focus only on the end goal and lose sight of the fact that with every pound I lose, I'll look…

Oops, forgot to post the last 3 days. 165 minutes for me. This was a fun challenge. Thanks for putting it together Jamie!:flowerforyou:

360 minutes for me, although I did have 2 lazy days in a row. Planning to do better next week. Congrats to all ! :-)

I had a good week exercise wise...I did 345 minutes this week, mostly walking, and two one hour Zumba sessions. I lost 1.2 pounds this week, bringing me to 258.8.

Started at 260 and that's where I still am. A bit of a plateau it seems <sigh>.

Hi Jacki, Yes, I've done the Leslie Sansone DVD's. In fact I even had one of her video tapes back in the early 90's. They're really good & the time flies. They are low impact, just walking, doing side steps, cross over steps, light kicks, etc. No jumping or running in place which is what I needed for my achilles tendon…

Tina, I love the kitty charm! I'm a kitty fan too. Is that a little fishy dangling below him? Kristy, I'll bet your thryroid does affect your weight loss. I had my doctor check my thyroid and it checked out fine, on the low end of normal. I'm post menopausal too & I've read that the lower estrogen/ progesterone levels…

Mmm, looks delicious! Have you tried the Italian seasoned Jennie-O ground turkey? I'd bet that would be deeeeelicious in there! Thanks for the recipe! Debbie:flowerforyou:

No loss for me this week. I've been weighing every day and was down on Wednesday. Next time I'm claiming the loss when I see it! :-) I've been exercising a lot more & weight lifting. I know I'm losing inches so I'll be happy with that this week. Congrats to all who lost this week. I'm clearly the turtle of the group. I'm…

Wow, everyone is doing so great...that's awesome to see. I'm down 2 this week. 2 pounds to my next charm. :-)

I lost 2 pounds this week, woo hoo! So that brings me to 26 and a new charm! Yay! I'll post a new pic tonight.

Very nice! I love the shoe charm- how perfect! The watch charm is cool too. How weird that it looks gold. I'm doing sterling too because I have allergic reactions to base metals.
-
I should have mentioned that Kohl's has regular charms too and ones that attach to a bracelet/ necklace with a lobster claw clasp that would work for your bracelets too.
-
I love your bracelet Cassie. The blue leather is really pretty. I love anything heart shaped too. Must be the incurable romantic in us, eh? :-)
-
Haven't tried it, but I'll be curious to see how it works for you. :-) What other flavors are you adding to it?
-
What a creative list! :-) I've lost a 3-gallon tub of super premium ice cream. Probably because I didn't eat it! :-)
-
Yup, me too! I have achilles tendonitis and bone spurs on both feet. It was challenging for me to get up & moving, but I find that the more I do, the easier it gets. My physical therapist gave me exercises to help strengthen and stretch the tendons. Another key I think is to find shoes that provide good support and don't…

What an awesome, inspirational post. I'll remember this when I'm out plodding around the neighborhood and walking the parking ramps in the parking structure at work. Rather than seeing the smile on someone's face as a smirk, I'll try to see it for what it probably is, a supportive smile. :-) Thanks for sharing this!

I like Chipotle and Red Robin. their sites have nutritional calculators that allow you to get the calories for the food the way you order it, so for example omitting the condiments, cheese, bun, etc. At Chipotle, I love their burrito bowls. You can calculate the calories for the ingredients you add. There I order chicken,…
