Roughly estimating here but I think you'd do just fine eating 1500-1600 calories a day and exercising. Just see how it's working out after a couple of weeks and adjust as necessary.

Nah, the sugar in it isn't bad for you. It's a simple carb, sure, but even simple carbs aren't BAD for you. They might make you hungry again sooner, but other than that... Both yogurt and fruit are extremely healthy and provided you aren't eating them in excess you will be fine.

big ole bowl of oatmeal. or lots of vegetables. Lots of them!

Fats are not to be avoided, your body needs them. And they're delicious. As long as you stay at your calorie goal, you should definitely be having at least some fats. General rule of thumb is .5g/lb of lean body mass.

Da heck you talking about cows milk having poor nutrition? They all have different nutritional profiles, but it really doesn't matter. If you like soy milk the best, drink soy milk. It's only half a cup, that's what, 40-50 calories in a day? Don't sweat the small stuff.

This. Protein powders are not necessary if you can get your protein from other sources (if that's what you desire).
-
Do such things actually exist? I can't stomach the taste of alcohol. I'd much rather have a bowl of oatmeal or something.

The brosciencey part is the thought that it contributes to rebuilding muscle BETTER than any other protein source, which is wrong. If you like protein shakes because they are convenient and don't bother your stomach, that's perfectly legitimate. All I'm trying to say is if you'd rather eat a piece of chicken breast, that's…
-
I also understand this, but there's a lot of broscience in the bodybuilding world. Realistically speaking, as long as you're hitting protein requirements in the day, that's all that's required. The whole "You must drink a protein shake within an hour of working out otherwise all your work was for nothing" bs is basically a…

I understand the theory, but who says fast absorption of a shake is better than the slower digestion of the protein in food?
-
There's no reason to use whey protein powder in all honesty, unless you like the taste of shakes. You could just as easily eat chicken breast (or any other source of protein) and get the same amount of protein, and other nutrients to boot.

Fiber One is the sh** as well, pardon the pun. Har har har.

There is no "diet" for particular shapes. Just eat less calories than maintenance, and you'll lose weight. That being said, high protein is generally a good recommendation for satiety and muscle retention reasons. Low fat... not so much. Fat is necessary, you shouldn't avoid it. Carbs you could technically get rid of…

Which is more likely, your body changed in the past month or your pants grew?
-
You could probably lower your protein down a bit from 150g/day to closer to 120, seems more reasonable. Your fats look a bit low, so you might want to consider upping those a little bit. Are you having trouble getting your protein in because you don't know what to eat, or because you eat too many carbs and eat less protein…

It will not hurt your weight loss. But it will possibly hurt your fat loss, because if you have insufficient protein you're going to be burning more muscle. So it's a matter of priorities. The number, or how you will actually feel and look.
-
Yeah they're a vegetable. They look like little red turnips. Best way I can put it, anyway.
-
For fat loss? Next to no importance, other than possibly keeping you full between meals (or if you drink it before meals you may eat less). For health? Drinking water is great, but really any liquid source will work for hydration purposes. And then of course there's the water content in your foods themselves that…

I like to swallow them whole, no taste to worry about then. But seriously, the roasting suggestion is a good one. You could also pan fry them in a little oil or nonstick spray and season them however you want.

Hardboiled eggs is an eggcelent idea. Had to do it, sorry. But yeah, the combination of fat and protein in eggs should definitely help keep you satiated. Cheese sticks are pretty good too.

I did look back, and you seem to be eating on average 1000 calories a day, which is too low. But if you're not logging after dinner, I have absolutely no idea. That being said maybe up your calorie allotment for breakfast to ~350 calories or so. For me having a big breakfast (~500 calories) helps me maintain control…

Depends on what it is about the potato chips you like. The salt, the greasiness, the crunch, etc. Personally as far as salads go the only crunch I really need is raw peppers, and maybe some crumbled feta cheese if I'm craving salt.

I feel ya. I get hungry around that time myself as well, but it's not really hunger. I just want to eat, mostly from boredom. But, for me, having giant meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is more satisfying than snacking throughout the day. So I just keep in mind that if I go all out on snacks, I have to have a small…

Enough said, in my opinion.

Eat as much meat as you want provided it fits into your macros. Have as much fish as you want too, for that matter. I go for some sort of fish at least 3 times a week, love the stuff. That, and I don't eat tuna more than once a week for mercury reasons.
-
Kashi Go Lean is awesome. High protein too.
-
What's wrong with eating a cookie a day if it fits into your macros?
-
British for oatmeal.
-
Are you avoiding eating fats? If so, why?
-
Kashi Go Lean. The plain variety, not the clusters and stuff.
