Food is yummy. I don't know anyone who isn't in your shoes. It's a learning process - just got back on and am seriously "getting it" about portions. Not hungry at all but it's whole wheat pasta, TINY portions of meat and giant portions of veggies. And move...you got to move every day.

I've been on JC and it's 1200 calories. I feel full all the time and sometimes can't even eat what I'm supposed to because I'm so full. I think it's just about what I chose to eat - before I was on this and on a 1200 calorie diet, I was starving. I think bread and sugars just make you hungrier.

Me too!!! Wino here. That's what got me chunky. Started Jenny Craig and I walk my *kitten* off in the morning and at night in order to be able to have two glasses at night. NOT giving up my wine.

The running store it is, then. I was trying to avoid paying a zillion dollars but I'm really tired of shin splints and it totally screws up working out. Thank you!!!

Thank you!!! Just incredibly frustrating and I suppose I have to watch the garbage (even if it fits into the calorie count) and the salt. (And eating back the exercise calories.)

Thanks for the great responses to this guy's post everyone!! You all really made my day. I'll have a smile on my face that lasts through this evening. Have an awesome afternoon.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! GREAT reply!!! Like like like like!!

I believe that you're looking for CRAIGSLIST...obviously you've mistyped the url.

I HATE working out...I mean REALLY hate it. I feel your pain, trust me. I have made it a habit to go to the gym at 4:30 pm...for several reasons. 1. It keeps me from having happy hour (they don't serve wine at the gym) and I save a whole boatload of calories by not sitting in the kitchen and preparing a gigantic dinner and…

Girl...let me tell you the same thing I tell my teenage daughters. DROP HIM. Trust your intuition - if the little alarm is going off, there's a reason. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck...it's a duck.

Ha!!! I weigh myself every time I walk into my closet. I'm completely obsessive about it - it's ridiculous actually. Not that the scale changes all that much if I pee or blow dry my hair or eat. I LOG IN the weight on Monday morning though - it fluctuates too much during the day for me to take it too seriously.
-
I hadn't even thought about it - I step on the scale on Mondays most of the time and if it's "TOM," then so be it. It all evens out in the end I think...

Stick to the calorie counting and exercise. I totally understand where you're coming from - it wasn't until I hit my forties that I started packing on the weight - before I would have to eat 3 thousand calories just to maintain my weight so I wouldn't go underweight. Hang in there - you can do it!!
-
Feel free to add me too...found awesome pals here that have really helped me out.

I can totally empathize...my kids (who are now 19 & 17) NEVER slept. I had no idea how a kid could stay up so long and wake up so many times. Try the book by Dr. Richard Ferber "Solve your child's sleep problems." It is hell for a week or two but it's totally worth it after they start sleeping through the night. As for the…

Thanks everyone - wasn't quite sure and I knew where to go for answers... My best weight for my body frame is 107 or so. 123 I hold alot of weight in my mid-section (TUMMY) and my face actually. Few more to go and I'm fine with a little at a time....just wasn't sure whether to readjust. Thank you!!!

Way to go, girl!!!! You have every reason to be proud of yourself. Keep it up!!

I eat them back if I'm hungry but if I don't feel like it, I don't bother. My calorie limit for the day is 1200 so it's rare that I don't want to eat the extra calories back after exercise. Only eat what you feel like you can handle...don't stuff the calories in if you don't want them...your body will tell you what it…

And you're right too!! Sounds like a huge can of whoop *kitten* is going to be opened here pretty soon...I'm about over it.
-
Thanks Ken and you're right.

Thank you!!! That is exactly what I thought here. I am tired of being walked on. You have an awesome holiday and good luck keeping on track... :)

I went downstairs the night that the girls told me what happened and i confronted it immediately - he had tried to run the dishwasher and it worked (but it's about 5 inches lower to the ground right now - I'm telling you, someone 200 pounds can't fall on the door of a dishwasher and expect it to be okay...I am 125 and if I…

Never mind - you're both right. I've been listening to Dr. Laura for years and I don't know why I'm trying to avoid all this. And hide in the house. Thanks for giving me a backbone. Do you suggest I speak to my son (he is my step but I've had him full time since he was 11 - his Mom is passed) or have my husband approach…
-
Thanks Guys - that's what I thought. I said "no more alcohol until you can behave like adults" and the plane tickets and damage...still have yet to approach that. Dad is not saying anything but dad is going to have to step up because I really don't think this is my fight completely. How does one not eat their way through…

I totally agree with what you want to give up and what you don't. I am NOT giving up my wine at night and will work extra hard to make up the exercise or figure out what I want to give up in the day foodwise so I can have it. That's NOT alcoholism. Say you like carrot cake...and ice cream. You are NOT going to give that up…

I saw this on Dr. Phil yesterday too and actually got onto the website for the book. It's 20 bucks - no biggie - it can be another diet book that sits in my closet (along with Dr. Phil's diet book and South Beach...along with my "how to quit smoking" book). They don't give you any clues or exerts from the book so you can…

Thank you - I am always looking for ways to figure out how to lighten up the meal. Totallly appreciate the help.
