I've been using shakeology for 2 years and haven't become a sales person and have no plans on doing so. I love the stuff, it fills me until lunch. True it is expensive but I don't have a gym membership or use a personal trainer so I don't mind the cost.

As someone who has successfully lowered my blood sugar numbers to below prediabetic levels I suggest: exercise 30 mins per day), lose weight, and eat a diet that is more protein and veggie and lower in carbs. One of the best things I did was talk to a nutritionist and attended a few diabete information sessions. I learned…

Insanity Max 30.

It is often stated thru each workout to take breaks as needed and even the people on the DVD have to take breaks. A lot of people (including me) had a hard time just getting through his warm up on Insanity without stopping. Be consistent and push hard and you will see improvements. I know I did.

I did Insanity last year and completed it on my 50th birthday and weighing in at about 185. Before starting I googled how to modify insanity moves and got some good ideas. I never once had knee or joint issues but I played it safe and modified a lot of the jumping moves. My fitness level increased tremendously....major…

Loved this program even more than original Insanity. I've done two rounds of it....my cardio fitness is up, I'm stronger have lost inches around my waist (my problem area). I loved that this program has a modifier and you have the option of having the modifier on screen at all times.

I didn't lose any weight with insanity but my cardio fitness significantly improved. So I would encourage you to give it a try or even to try Insanity Max 30. I love them both but found I got the best toning from Insanity Max 30.

How about Body Beast and Piyo. I have a friend who has combined the two and loves it.

I did this program last summer and finished it the day before I turned 50. I lost a few inches but no weight, but my diet wasn't very good. My fitness/endurance improved immensely. You need to use common sense and take breaks or incorporate modifications where you need to. I will probably do this again this summer.

I'm not sure if anyone is going to read this far in the posts, but OP this is what I found from 21 Day Fix 1. The term 21 day fix refers to the idea that it takes 21 days to create a habit 2. I personally didn't like the workouts. I found Autumn totally unmotivating and irritating. However they did challenge me. 3. I like…

I'm almost scared to post this as I've read so much shakeology bashing on this site. However I do use it and love it. It keeps me feeling full until lunchtime which works perfect for my job where I can't do a snack. I feel that this has helped with my blood sugar levels and I had awesome test results for my last blood…

I've just started my second round of Insanity Max 30 this week as well. I love this program. From the first round I lost a couple inches overall and 8lbs.

I did Insanity last summer. Loved it. I turned 50 the day after I finished it. No injuries, but I did modify as I went along to protect myself. My fitness levels on the fit tests saw major improvements.

When I was having similar knee pain (above the knee just below the quad muscle), I learned that it was being caused by tight muscles and IT band. There's a lot of different stretches that will help and I now use a foam roller daily. It has helped immensely. I have completed Insanity and am currently doing Insanity Max 30…

I share your pain. When I first got this I had to stop running for about 6 weeks until it stopped hurting. I did see my chiropractor for it and she was able to help with the discomfort. I was able to go back to running, but still suffer from O.P. From time to time.

I finished Insanity the beginning of September, and although I had to pause often during every single workout, it did get easier as time went on. For me the best record of my progress was the regular fit tests. Every time I finished one I was sure there was no way my numbers could improve, but each and every time there was…

Yes finishing Insanity made me feel powerful and strong. I did not follow the Insanity diet plan. I know my diet veered off course a few times, but I'm ok with that. I don't track my calories anymore (I just hang out here for inspiration) as after almost 3 yrs of tracking calories I just got tired of it. Some clothes feel…

My 2nd Fit Test results were: Switch Kicks 39/45 Power jacks 36/40 Power Knees 60/68 Power Jumps 22/25 Globe Jumps 5/6 Suicide Jumps 14/19 Push Up Jacks 19/23 Low Plank Oblique 26/34 I've just finished Week 4, and starting into the Recovery week before starting the 2nd month of Insanity. I'm really enjoying this program…

I am by no means an expert, but when I started running and was experiencing shin pain I slowed my pace down and shortened my stride. I also focus on trying to land my foot mid foot instead of heel striking. This has all helped me.

I'm the same...no difference yet with measurements and scale, but I'm feeling tighter and my pants are feeling looser. I'm into week 3.
-
Can I join too? I start week 3 tomorrow which begins with my 2nd fit test.

I started insanity on June 30th and have finished my first week. Today was repeat of day 2 workout and I could definitely see/feel some improvement. However those level 1 drills are tough!!

I did JM 90 day last fall. I didn't follow her meal plan. I was averaging 1400-1700 cal a day. I didn't lose any weight but did lose significant inches and gained strength. Started to be able to do push-ups on my toes, upped my dumbells to 8 and 10 lbs. for the first 45 days I did do some running as well a couple times a…

I'm feeling your pain and frustration. I injured mt glute last week. Although i desperately want to keep going with my fitness routine, I have chosen to rest for this week, and will only be doing upper body strength workouts next week, and cardio days will only be walking. It sucks, but I want to heal well.

When I started running I also had knee pain. I did wear a knee brace and it helped when running and I made sure I had good fitting shoes. But the thing that helped the most was stretching and strengthening all this muscles and ligaments ... It's amazing how they all are involved in the working of the knee.

Congrats and thanks for this post. I too have struggled thru very slow weightloss even though my clothes get bigger, the scale has actually crept up 3-5 lbs while doing p90x3. Your post reminds me that I'm not alone and not to trust what the scale says.

I'm not a medical expert but when my knees hurt, I see my chiropractor. I've been fortunate that it's just muscles, ligaments and tendons that have needed stretching in the quad area.

Number one: change your mind set. If you feel like a victim it will be very hard to overcome your challenge. Having said that...I will be 50 this year and slowly but surely my belly is shrinking. To achieve this progress over the last few years I started running, I've done some Jillian micheals DVD, completed her body…
