I find it a little crowded and sometimes words overlap but it's ok

I will be 54 in a few months and people are always asking how I do what I do. I go to the gym 5-6x a week, and they are sweat dripping hour long classes. I see a personal trainer once a week. I trail run, I am slow but always was. I try to do at least one organized run per month even in winter. This year I am going for…

Outside whenever possible, treadmills are dreadful

Given a choice outdoors every time. I loathe cardio machines

4’11” currently at 118 and want to lose 5-10

I am 4’11” and will be 54 in a few months. I currently weigh 118. I would like to lose another 5-10. Its very slow now so it will be awhile unless I go in an extreme deficit. Howver due to my training that would probably be deterimental to my progress. I feel good so I am fine if it takes longer.

I am sorry but all I hear is excuses. If you don’t want to exercise don’t but don’r ask for ideas when you shoot every one of them down. I cannot imagine hating every type of exercise. But since you asked here is my honest answer, quit complaining and making excuses and just go do it. Cardio of some form for heart health…

You are a beginner, start with body weight exercises, then add low weights and just progress from there. Don’t start heavy and injure yourself

I typically always worked out early morning 4:30/5 am. Never ate until at least 7 am. The last couple of months I have been doing 5 pm workouts and its tough at the end of the day even though I am fueled

I love the happy scale app. I use it daily and its a good way to identify the trends. I update my weight on MFP sporadically.

I live in Canada, in Alberta and I run outside all year. I hate the treadmill its an evil I do but 1-2 miles and I am done but outside I will go much longer. You have plenty of time for a 5k and you can find them all year. My last race is often the Santa Shuffle in Dec and then RVR Winter run in Jan. Feb & Mar are fairly…

I don't do low carbs. I don't do low anything, I eat a balanced diet according to my macros and counting calories. There is no way I would cut way back on carbs. Everything in moderation and a calorie deficit to lose weight. Add in strength training to assist in building muscle if you wish and some cardio if you enjoy it.…

I did the 30 day challenges where you worked up to 250 body weight squats. It definitely firmed up my bum. Should have kept them up. Not necessarily 250/day but enough to keep that lift and firmness and get the flexibility of a nice deep squat

I love CrossFit too. It works the whole body and doesn’t eliminate one area in favour of another. The WODs are the same for everyone but you scale to your ability. The energy and support is fantastic. It gets you in good condition and you can go do what you want outside the box if looking for other activities

No, carbs are not the enemy. Do not demonize any foods. The body needs carbs, fats and protein and it is not healthy to avoid any of them. The key is moderation and ratio. Keep your macros balanced and it will fall into place. That said there are carbs that offer far more nutritional value than others, so you want to make…

I always thought woo was a good thing too...Never did I see it as a negative.

Mine won’t sync regardless of what I do. I am getting beyond fed up.

Did a 25km relay trail run in our river valley. Did 14.5 kms in 2:15:33 and there was a lot of steep elevation, fair amount of ice on trails, technical single track for a good portion. Pretty please for the first run of the year.

Well the scale is up but my NSV for the last couple of weekends, was running a 14k trail race which had killer hills on them and a 10k road race. Pleased with how well I did considering I did not train this summer at all and was up 12 lbs. This will help motivate me to now work on the scale side of things.
-
Yes it does suck to be short then add in age and being female and we really get the *kitten* end of the stick. I am barely 4'11", 52 yrs old and currently weigh 122. I was 113.8 Easter weekend and then due to numerous bad situations I promptly gained 10 bloody pounds. I can put in on in a heartbeat but takes forever to get…

@TerriRichardson112 Happy Anniversary! @mari_Moulin you are still here with us even if you don't post daily. Life gets hectic especially in the summer when you have kids. @lpeltenburg slow and steady wins the race, you are doing great. I am glad this challenge is over. I have had a poor one, my head is back in the game now…
